Betrayal

"Josh!" There were so many emotions running through his mind.

This was the man he loved more than himself, his brother that he shared no blood with but the greatest thing he had to offer. His unconditional trust.

They grew up in the same neighborhood as children and were inseparable like light and dark, they're thoughts and actions were so identical that you would it's the same soul in separate bodies.

But that was all shattered at this moment.

The only thing he could feel towards this man that he loved dearly at this moment was an unbridled rage.

Sheer animosity.

Unlimited hostility.

He wish he could tear him limb from limb, tear him to pieces and feast on his flesh but this emotions were overcome by an even stronger emotion when he looked at the woman he was Wed to for over a decade.

He met her in his 2nd year of college and She gave him the sweetest smile that just brightened his world like a supernova and it was at that moment that he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with this girl.

He pursued her with all his strength for a year enduring all kinds of set backs each time she rejected him but she finally got moved and accepted him. The joy he felt that day was second only to the joy of when she gave him a son, yet when he looked at her in this moment, the only feeling he felt was, DESPAIR.

"Jain... Why?" He asked.

His voice had turned from thunder to almost a whisper, like a gate holding back unspeakable evils that should never rear their heads in front of humans.

She was holding on to his legs with tears and snot running down her naked body but she dared not say a word for she truly was regretting her actions.

To think that the woman who was feeling ecstasy and pleasures from adultery, performing all sorts of gymnastics 5 minutes ago looked so pitiful at this moment, you won't believe it if you haven't seen it yourself.

She thought as hard as she could to appeal for forgiveness but she could find no other words but the ones she truly felt at this moment.

"I AM SORRY" those words felt incomparably heavy and painful to Tim, who was still trying to deny what was before his eyes because he was praying this to be some sort of hallucination or a dream.

"For how long has this been going on?" this was the question he did not want to ask the most. He worked really hard to provide for her and their son and he'd even take 2 to 3 jobs just to make sure there would be enough money for her and the boys future so it wasn't uncommon for him to be absent for a day or two at home but he always made sure he called or try to make it up to her.

Heck he would even use pills to run so many rounds and only stopped when she had orgasms so many times that the bed would literally be soaked in her fluids and she was unable to move or even speak so he was wondering where he went wrong for this to happen.

"SPEAK" he spoke when neither was answering. That word was spoken softly but it thundered like the voice of a king and couldn't hide the rage and anger hidden inside swimming like venomous serpents.

Jain shuddered when she heard his tone and answered meekly without raising her head, "It... It started 3 years ago..." her tears were streaming down like an open tap after answering. She closed her eyes and waited for him react but there was no reaction only silence so she fearfully and slowly lifted her head to look at him but what she saw hurt her beyond what words could describe.

He was crying.

Not the cry of pain, no, this was something much deeper.

This was the cry of helplessness, the kind that can make you crazy.

His face distorted a huge number of times from craze to faces only inhumane beings could make, he was fighting so hard not to lose himself and luckily for him, the face of his son grounded him.

It was like a shining light in the his spiral and stopped him from killing these two traitorous animals.

He followed that light and calmed down, his breathing became steady and his face returned to normal but it looked like he had aged quite a bit and lost something.

He slowly opened his eyes and scanned the two from head to toe then spoke.

"Josh, you who I was willing to walk through thick and thin for and Jain, you who brought me the greatest joy, the one who I was willing to fight gods and demons for, you who I was willing to sell my soul for.... You two have made your choices years ago and I was the only one who didn't know I was in your way all this time so forgive me" he bowed calmly and apologized like a subordinate to his superior.

"Dear pl-" Jain couldn't help but panic when she saw this, something in her was screaming atop her lungs and warning her not to let him speak any further or she would eternally regret it but Tim cut her off.

"From this day forth, I don't want anything to do with you two as I'm afraid I would kill you and that would be bad for MY son. Josh stay as far away from me as possible and let our fates not Intertwine" he then looked at Jain and remembered all their years together and couldn't help but smile with tears and snot. Sadness is such a painful emotion because it can take your most precious memories, chew it up and spit it out and straight up tell you, "Shits never going to be the same as before for you mothafaka"

"Jain, I love you more than I ever loved anyone else and I felt I could go on even when times were tough and you would always encourage me. You are my life's greatest joy and all the things we did have made me who I am. I love you so much and that will never change so thank you." these were all supposed to be words that should make any wife happy but not for Jain.

All she felt was a searing pain in the depths of her soul because she knew it was over.

Things might have been salvaged if he flew into a rage and swore while breaking things here and there like he always did but not now.

He was too calm and smiling while he said it and the final blow that she wished would never come came.

"You are now free to do as you please, everything will be split 50/50 and I won't bring it up with anyone else outside this room neither will I use it in our divorce... Honestly," he sighed before continuing,

"I don't want to see you ever again and I also don't want MY son to have anything to do with you"

It was at this point that Jain became frantic and her nails cut into his legs as she started begging miserably

"No! Tim please don't do this to me! I'm sorry Tim! Please don't leave me, please don't take our son away from me! I know what I did was wrong but please give me a chance to make it up to you" Tim felt a deep pang in his soul after all, this was the woman he loved unbelievably and it hurt him just as much as he knew it hurt her but he had to steel his heart because nothing is going to be the same as before he saw her with such a lustful expression towards another man.

"I'm not going to take MY son from you, however he is going to live with me and you can visit him. The house is yours so you won't have to worry about it. However, you are going to be the one who is going to tell that little boy why this is all happening, I don't care if you lie to him but you look that boy in the eyes and tell him whatever you want to for breaking down what we built for a decade just for 5 minutes of pleasure."

"Tim... please don't do this to me. I love you Tim" Jain spoke with all sorts of emotions in turmoil.

'Oh God, why did I not stop? I would have stopped if I ever knew it would be this painful to lose them! What I don't care if I'm caught?! My God, what was I thinking?! God why didn't you stop me?!'

But Tim mercilessly spoke as he turned and walked away after tearing her hands off and throwing her to the side,

"You 2 are free to be together in the open now. You don't have to fear me anymore, have as much sex as you please wherever you please" These words were spoken as if a dirty minded close friend was speaking to 2 newly weds but the 2 it was directed to felt nothing but bitter remorse.
