Suspicion

At the canteen where Volya and co. staying, everyone is taking their meal while talking with their colleagues. But for today, some of them are looking in one direction and then start to look away. Some of them are discussing what happened with that group.

The group that they are talking about is Volya's group. At the table sits Volya and Romain. While across them, Helena, Gracia and two prostitutes from Alma's brothel, Akantha Vlahos and Aliz Nagy.

Volya and Romain can't look at Helena and Gracia's eyes as they feel a bit tense from their gaze.

Helena then taps the table and asks them,

"Could any of you give us an explanation about it?"

Volya and Romain look at each other and heard Gracia says,

"Maybe... I could punish them..."

"Wait, Gracia... We should hear their reason first..."

Helena gazes at Volya and Romain again. And this time Akantha notices something from Volya's gesture.

She knows that he wants to tell her about the plan that they already agreed with Alma, but he is still wary of Alma's intention by putting Aliz and Akantha with them.

Akantha immediately smiles, nudges Aliz, and they nod at each other.

Akantha then stands up and says,

"I think we should walk around to buy some fabric, Aliz..."

"Yeah, I agree... We need to buy good fabric for our work," replied Aliz

"Then, we will take our leave first,"

Gracia, Helena, Romain, and Volya look at them and see them walk away. At the same time, Volya notices Akantha makes a gesture at him. A sign that Volya could tell everything about yesterday.

As they leave the inn, Helena then look at Romain and Volya again and asks them,

"Then, could you tell us why they sleep with both of you?"

"..."

"I could see that girl is giving a sign for something to any of you,"

"Eh? One of them? Are they giving a sign to do something lewd?!" said Gracia

"I don't know... Except for these gentlemen in front of us tell us the reason,"

Helena and Gracia look at them again and this time Volya raises his hand. He then says,

Helena and Gracia look at each other and try to hide their suspicion from Romain and Volya. They then agree with Volya's plea and follow Volya and Romain to Volya's room.

Inside his room, Volya then starts,

"Yesterday, Reginald give Markos, Romain, and I a mission to rent some of the prostitutes for his party,"

"Ah yes... I remember about that, right before the two of you walk back with the two of us," said Gracia

"Then, what are the connection between them in your room and that mission?" asked Helena

Volya and Romain look at each other and then Romain says,

"When we tried to put the reservation, their owner called the three of us,"

"Huh?" said Helena

"It's as if she knows that we are coming..." said Volya

Helena then puts that on the note and Gracia tries to see whether Volya and Romain are lying to them. Volya then continues,

"Alma Taylor, the owner of the brothel, asked us to protect her kids from Reginald,"

"Then, why should they come with you?" asked Helena

"It's also her request..."

"Huh?"

"Then, why didn't you reject that? Or it's just you want to..." asked Gracia before Volya interrupted her,

"When we are visiting Lord Gill's mansion... Did anyone follow us back then?"

"Eh? No... I didn't see anyone there..." replied Helena

"Did anyone know that Our King, and Your Husband, come to this place?" asked Romain

"No... No one knows about that..."

"Wait... Don't say..." said Gracia

"Yes... Alma Taylor knows about our meeting with Lord Gill and because of that we are on the disadvantage that time,"

Helena and Gracia look at Volya with disbelief and then think for a moment. Helena then speculate,

"Don't say the reason they are with you..."

"It's still speculation though... I think she put them to observe us and see whether we are trustworthy or not," said Romain

"Why did you think like that? Maybe she just..." asked Gracia

"I smell... The same smell when I meet you again back then, Gracia," interrupt Volya

"Huh?"

"The smell of death comes from Alma..."

Helena and Gracia can't hide their surprise and hear Volya continues,

"At the moment, we still not know which side is she on now,"

"If she sided with Reginald, it's will cause a problem," continues Romain

Helena closes her eyes for a moment, while Gracia starts to panic for a bit because their plan will be thwarted soon. Suddenly, Helena says,

"If this Alma that you mention is indeed on the Reginald side... She should have told Reginald about our activity..."

"That's true..." replied Volya

"But, we still not know whether Reginald already knows about this matter or not..." continues Romain as he looks at the ceiling

Silence fell on the room once more, until Gracia asks,

"What if Alma isn't on the Reginald side?"

"That means we also aiming for the same prey..." replied Romain

"Isn't that good?" asked Gracia

"Depends on her intention though," said Volya

Helena looks at Volya and then asks him,

"Aren't you confident with your skill in reading someone's gesture and face to determine their character?"

"Yes, I'm confident with my skill..."

"But?"

"I can't read her..."

"..."

"There was too much of an anomaly when I saw her back then..."

"Is that so..."

All of them then closes their eyes, until Helena says,

"Then, let's increase our guard now... It's better to think that Alma's group is our enemy for now..."

"Then, what should we do with them?" asks Romain

"Let them be..." replied Helena

"And... Could they stay in both of your rooms? I don't want to tarnish my reputation more..." said Volya

"They could if they want it..." replied Helena

"But, isn't it unsafe to put one of them to stay with you, Big Sis Helena?" asked Gracia

"Why do you think like that?" asked Romain

"Because of their leader, Alma Taylor knows about the meeting. There is a chance that she will find out about my status as the Queen of Haegia... Am I right?" asks Helena

"Yes,"

"You don't need to worry about that... If they do something foul, I could fight back," replied Helena with a smile

"You are right..." replied Romain with a chuckles

All of them laugh together until Gracia asks them,

"Then... Did both of you touch them?"

"No!" replied Volya and Romain together

"Just as I thought... Both of you are indeed a pure guy," said Helena as she laughs again

After that, they are planning for today's tasks at Reginald's mansion. Gracia and Helena then leave the room first as they have a meeting with other group members for another task.

When they already leave the room, Volya stands up and walks to the window. Meanwhile, Romain only could sigh and says,

"That experience... So tense,"

"..."

"What is it, Volya?" asked Romain

"I have a sneaky feeling... That it will become a bloodbath..."

Romain closes his eyes for a moment, walks to Volya, and hits his head. He then says,

"Just hope for the best this time around..."

"..."

"Just follow your guts, I believe it could help us this time,"

"Hopefully,"

Both of them then laugh and leave the room as they still have another task from Reginald at his mansion.
