-Unknown Place in Space and Time-
There laid a being trap in a night of eternal sleep. He was there waiting for someone, anyone to break the chains that kept him asleep. He could wait as long as it took to get out of this place of dreams. And when he was finally done, he would go and get his revenge on every god and goddess that put him in this sleep. While leaving his brother The Light for last to make him feel that all his allies were dead and that there was no help coming to rescue him. At that moment, even though he was sound asleep, the evilest smile appeared on his face, which could bring chills down your spine if you ever saw it.
While the Darkness was in his slumber, the Goddesses of Fate and Destiny (A/N Atropos, Clotho, Lachesis are their name since they are Greek goddesses) where working overtime. They were also called The Moirai since the three of them were what personified the inescapable destiny of man and gods. The Moirai were independent, at the helm of necessity, directed fate, and watched that the future assigned to every being by eternal laws might take its course without obstruction; and The Light, as well as the other gods and man, had to submit to them.
They were one of the few gods that stayed out of the fighting since their job didn't let them choose aside. That being said, they did like the Darkness since he was always respectful when he saw them. He was also one of the few gods that did not care about how they looked. They were seen as ugly, older women, and they were severe, inflexible, and stern.
They hated that they couldn't change the outcome of the battle that put the Darkness in his eternal slumber since it was his fate, and even they cannot change a God's future, but they did have more control over human fate. So they waited for the right soul to be born that would help free the Darkness and bring a new era to this world. Then the moment they were waiting for happening, the perfect soul was born, and they got to work as fast as the other gods could not notice them. When they finally finish, they sat back and felt fate take hold and seal the destiny of the soul forever, and for the first time in eons, the chains they kept the Darkness asleep loosened.

At last, it was time to move the 3-meter statue. As we got close to pick up the statue is when I saw the scroll that looked to be made of gold on its feet. I told the team to halt since this scroll may be a warning not to move the statue. I open the scroll and translated to English and read it to my team.
"Long ago, a creature was born from the darkness of the world. It was dark in its purest form. That didn't mean that this creature was evil since we humans have always like to lump both together. When in truth, even if darkness and evil seem to be mixed but in actuality, they do not. The meaning darkness is emptiness, a place without light. It is where hope will be born then move on to the sun. While evil means to be immoral and malevolent. This creature has wings made from the shadows. Eyes redder than blood. Teeth sharp enough that they can bite through bones in seconds. With fangs filled with poison. Sharp nails that can cut through diamonds.
This creature, when in a human form, it would look like a male from that is covered with tattoos that show us that he is from the darkness. His hair is as white as the moonlight. He is as innocent as a newborn child but deadlier than the Behemoths. He was the true King of Darkness. This creature bears no name, or its name was forgotten long ago. The beast was created long before the start of time, but he was put in a deep sleep by...." That was all that was readable. The rest will take time to understand since it has faded almost completely.
"I wonder why they worshiped this being. It sounds dangerous, to begin with." said my friend Alexa who stood next to me. She was the best at the doctor's in the world. She has PHDs for all the doctor fields from the surgeon to the dentist to psychologist and more.
"Who knows what they were thinking. Maybe it helped them with evil acts," said Jeffy, who was making weird hand movements. He was the best researcher when it involves ancients civilizations.
"I don't think so. You all hear it the scroll say that just because it was darkness didn't make it evil." replied my sister to Jeffy. Who by the way, had an IQ of 210.
"Can I move the statue now?" asked Mike, the strongest of all of us.
"Sure," I told him. Then there was me who could remember anything if I sawed it or hear it or tasted or smelled or touched once. I could speak all the languages in the world that includes the dead ones as well. I couldn't wait to look over all the stuff we found in the tomb in peace when we get back home. I wonder what secrets await us.
