It's Strange Isn't It?

Ying Yue smiled sadly, "I don't think I can..."

Ying Yue was tired. Tired of people saying he wasn't worth her tears. If he wasn't worth it, she wouldn't still be crying. They don't know it, but Feng Yu changed her world. They'll never know how much he meant to me.

"It's funny isn't it?" she asked.

"What is?"

"How losing someone ruins your ability to love someone just as much"

"That's ok, you don't need to love me as much as you loved him. We can start slow."

Ying Yue smiled but didn't reply. "We'll see what the future has in store for us, ok? Right now, I really need to sit down and think life through. I've got a happy personality and a sad soul in my body right now, it feels so weird"

"....you can feel stuff like that?" Liam Chi muttered. But Ying Yue didn't reply, just turned and head back upstairs to see Feng Mian.

But before she got far, Liam Chi called her name out. "Hey! Lady Ying!"

"What?!!" Ying Yue turned back around but this time there was more distance between them.

"You still love him don't you?"

Does she still love him? Yes, she does. And she knows because seeing him smile is all she wants to see despite it not being because of her. Liam Chi took her silence as agreement.

"It's strange isn't it?" he asked.

"What is?"

"How people can be desperately in love with someone even when they haven't spoken to or even seen them for years. I think it's incredible how despite the distance between two people, they'll never stop loving each other. That's just how love works I suppose, you either love them forever or you never loved them to begin with. Love doesn't leave just because the person does."

Liam Chi's words hit Ying Yue deep, she knew what he spoke of was the truth. Turning back around she continued to walk away towards the elevator, drowning in her thoughts.

In a span of two days, despite being apart for 5 years, she realised that she still loved Feng Yu. She forgave him and gave him a second chance ....

"Aiya~" Ying Yue slapped herself on the cheek gently but enough to feel pain, "Ying Yue, you dumb girl why are you doing this to yourself? Yes, you guys started off with a simple hello but you guys also ended up with a complicated goodbye. So why ruin your peaceful life of 5 years just for that man to disturb it all? Argh, what are trying to do girl? Make a pattern?"

Ying Yue squatted down inside the elevator and continued to slap herself whilst speaking to herself at the same time, causing others to look at her strangely.

"Miss?"

Ying Yue looked up behind her when she felt someone tap her on the shoulders.

"Sorry, I couldn't help but overhear," a white collared worker said holding file in one hand, "But I believe you should just follow your heart"

Ying Yue froze and spoke slowly with absolutely no emotion visable on her face, "You are about the nth person who told me that, and let me tell you it doesn't work. Especially when your mind disagrees and the heart is broken"

Ying Yue stood up as the elevator reached the floor to Feng Mian's office. But before she got off she told the worker, "Don't ever tell a crying woman to follow her heart because the heart she would be listening to would be broken and hurting. There's a 90% chance the girl would fall deeper into the cracks within her heart".
