~Hours later~
The day flew by and went straight into the afternoon. They were told that they would have an entire afternoon to themselves. Most of the students in class became so care-free when the school bell rang.
Denear and his "gang" had just planned to head to town and eat lunch there. While they were walking towards the school gate. Denear noticed the purple haired girl sitting under a tree. She was reading a book with quite an interesting title. "Broken hearts, restrained freedom" was the title of the book. Denear was interested in the book not cause of the title, but because he hasn't read it before. He didn't see the book in his mother's library. You're probably wondering why not check in his father's library, well, that's because, his parents have different libraries. His father's library is mostly about History, Ancient Writings, Demonic Scriptures, War Strategies, Weapon Enhancements etc etc. My mother's library on the other hand is completely opposite. Cooking Manuals, Love Stories, Fantasy books, My Diaries (My mother's diaries), Best Vacation Spots etc etc etc.
However, in each of their libraries, there was always one common thing they had in them. It warmed my heart actually. "How to be a better mother" and "How to be a better father". Those two books were hidden away in a secret compartment I found under both of their desks when they left for a meeting somewhere. I read it of course. Not read. But actually just touch. My wisdom stat is so high that I can basically just touch the book cover, and then all it's information will be directly sent and recorded in his brain. Like a super computer, but much faster and much more effective. (Author:Wish this actually exist in real life, Oh how the pain of nights from studying will disappear!)
Though his brain will be fried with how much information he has to take in all at once.
Anyways! Both of them locked eyes as Denear was passing the tree where she was reading her book. She smiled. "Hello again!"
Denear bowed his head a little as a response.
"You heading to town?" She inquired.
"Yes, we are."
"Can I come with you?" She said, skipping to his side.
Denear looked ahead to his carriage waiting outside the school gate. "Do as you wish" He said, continuing to walk. She smiled and quietly followed Denear. Walking by his side.
Bailey and Chandler, who were walking/standing behind Denear while he was talking, looked at each other with a concerned look on their faces. Just like when you laugh without knowing the exact reason and then you realize later that the joke wasn't funny at all and you start to think hard about it.
That was the face they were making but soon turned to normal after a few steps towards the carriage. Though they still had their eyebrows crossed.
Reaching the carriage, they met up with the leader of Denear's guards. Ace Carter, who was really close to Denear since childhood. They would sneak out into the forest nearby the estate and hunt animals until nighttime. He would also sneak out Denear to the town and taught him how to disguise himself. Though he could never seem to recognize Denear and end up losing sight of him in town. Denear, of course, used his skill [Tricks for clowns] to disguise himself. That way no-one ever knew it was him all along.
"Hello Ace." Denear greeted.
"Young Master" Said Ace, smiling. When all the guards saw that Denear had already arrived, they immediately bowed down in unison. "Young Master."
"Rise." Denear said. He had gotten used to this treatment. He was just sick of it but it was still kinda cool.
The coachmen opened the carriage door for them. Everyone entered one by one. Denear and Bailey was on one side while Chandler and the purple haired girl on the other. It was dead silent inside the carriage. No-one talked for the entire ride. The purple haired girl was busy humming a tune while happily looking out the window. Chandler was twiddling with his thumbs nervously. Bailey was as stiff as a rock and did not move the entire time. She only moved to either breathe or blink.
"Is something wrong Chandler?" Denear asked, seeing that Chandler's face was turning green.
"No...I'm-I'm fi-fine..." Chandler was covering his mouth.
"You're turning green Chandler." Bailey said.
"No re-really I'm fi-fi." Chandler suddenly just stood up and jumped out of the moving carriage. He jumped, reaching the edge of the wide dirt road. Wuwha!! Everyone else hurried out the carriage. Chandler was vomiting endlessly.
"What is really wrong Chandler?" Denear said, while patting his back to help let it all out.
Chandler wiped his mouth with his hand. "I get motion sickness....." Wuwha!
"But didn't you tell me that you used to ride on a Griffon's back??" Bailey said.
"Yeah it's true..But that's the reason I now got motion sickness..." Wuwha!
Denear continued to gently pat his back. He sighed. "Well hurry up vomiting!" He walked back into the carriage leaving Chandler speechless. "C'mo-wha!" Bailey stayed with Chandler. Denear could hear her say. "You should have told us before we left! *sigh*" She face slammed herself on the fore-head.
"Could you pat my back to make it quicker?" Chandler asked Bailey.
"*sigh* Sure.." Bailey walked behind Chandler. Slam! Bailey's pat made a huge sound as it reach Chandlers back. Chandler slammed to the ground. "OUUUUCCCHH!!!!"
"What's wrong? I just patted you're back? I'm just helping to quicken the pace." Bailey said, innocently.
'What's wrong!?' Chandler screamed in his mind. 'You're gonna make me vomit out blood if you keep helping!!'
"I-I'm fine now" Chandler forced himself to say.
"No? You still look kinda green. Here let me do it again." Bailey said, proping herself again to hit Chandler's back.
"Wait! Wait! Stop! No! Ah!" Chandler tried. He tried to stop her. "You're starting to look much better now. I'll do it again."
"No!!" Chandler refused but Bailey was already at it.
Denear inside the carriage couldn't help but feel amused. He heard a giggle. "You're friends are really funny and interesting."
Denear nodded in agreement. "By the way," He said. "What's your name?"
SHe stayed silent for a few seconds.
1 second...
2 seconds...
3 seconds...
4 seconds...
Before she finally said. "I don't know really.."
