The Investigation

Shane took his phone out his pocket, and dialed a number, "Hi David, Janine took pictures last night and she send it to Mits."

"How could she be taking pictures if she was in the shower with you, unless there was someone in the room with you."

"Dito I need you to investigate it, get the footage from the hotel, I want to know who she led into my room."

He hanged up and looked at Mits, "I am sorry, I did not mean for any of this to happen, I never knew Janine was crazy."

"The money kept her sane." Mits said rolling her eyes.

They both started laughing, when Donovan came walking into the room, shocked at seeing Shane there.

"Good morning Donovan."

"Good morning Sir."

"No need to worry I heard the whole story about the Ice Cream, but please next time phone me and I will get it, I need you to be by her 24/7, do you understand me?"

"Yes sir I understand, I do apologize."

Lifting his head slightly he gave Mits the ice cream, she gave him a small reassuring smile and he left.

Shane spend the whole day with Mits so he told Donovan to go home and get some rest he will phone him when he needs to come back.

At lunch time the doctor came Mits room, Shane was on his way to get up and go out, but the doctor stopped him, "No need to go, I am just here to sign Mits release papers, she can go home today."

With excitement in both their eyes, they waited for all the paper work to be completed and started getting ready to go.

Shane phone Donovan and told him to be at the hospital in an hour.

After getting dressed and ready to go, Shane saw that Mits was worried.

"Whats wrong?"

"Where are we going to stay, we cant to back to the apartment, I wont feel save there, we can go to your hotel room, because of her. So what are we going to do?"

"I have a plan my love, but I don't want to talk about it here, you will just have to wait and see."

They walked out the hospital Donovan was ready and waiting for them as they got out.

"Did you managed to get everything on the list?"

"Yes sir it's all in the other car!"

"Well done, let's get out of here."

They both got into the car, still not saying where they are going they just drove for a very long time.

Mits fell a sleep in Shane's arm.

Donovan turned off and stopped, we are here Sir. They looked around and saw the car driving up, Shane woke up Mits, "Come my love we need to change cars."

She opend her eyes not sure what is going, she got out of the car and saw the other car driving stopping behind them, she recognized David, he and another man and women got out the car.

"You ready to do this, we need to be quick."

"Yes lets do this." Mits, Shane and David got into the other car, the man and woman got into the back seat of their car, Donovan still driving the car.

Mits is confused but does not ask what is going on she just do as she is told.

Ones in the other car Donovan drove past them and went back onto the road, David waited there for a long time looking in his rear view mirror.

Half an hour went past before David started the car and they started to drive off, but they did not go back on the road, they kept going straight on the dirt road. It felt like a long time before David stopped.

"We are here."

They drove up to a big house with big walls and a large gate. The security at the gate looked in the car and spoke to David before opening the gate for them.

"Where are we?" Mits managed to ask.

"We are at my parents house, no one knows about it, and it is guarded 24/7 I think that we will be safe here."

"Why did we change cars and who was that other people?"

"Lets get you inside and get you something to eat then I will explain everything to you."
