Battle Mage Branch's Entrance Exams
We were lead by the instructor to the area of the Battle Mage Branch. We then entered the training ground of the Battle Mage Branch where we will be tested by the examiners.
"Good day everyone, I am Instructor Jayce the head of the Battle Mage Branch. The examinations will be divided by 3 segments first the Speed of Casting Magic and Accuracy. The Battle Mage class excels in the speed of casting magic although we cant use Magic as destructive as those of the Magician Class. Compared to them we can cast Magic faster and we can also fight in close combat.
The second segment of the exam is hitting moving target and hitting targets while moving. As Battle Mages we often fight in close quarters because of this we need to be able to cast magic while constantly moving and dodging attacks from our enemies.
The third segment is a sparring match against your instructors this is to see how you adapt to the situation of fighting stronger opponents and seeing how strong you are in combat." (Jayce)
After explaining the exams the Instructors then lead the students to different areas while they will be tested.
"Well then lets start the exams." (Jayce)
With Head Instructor's words the exams starts. Instructors in-charge of their areas notes down the student's speed of releasing magic after seeing them release it.
After a while it was finally my turn. I then took out my weapon from my space ring which can be used to store items given to me by my Father.
Among the 12 combat classes the Battle Mage uses weapons similar to staves with a blade attach, such as spears and halberts these weapons have a crystal in them similar to Staves used by Magicians. My weapon is called the Crimson Dragon Spear given to me by my Father on my birthday.
"You may begin."
With the words of the instructor I then raise my weapon and released a flame dragon and directed it at the target.
When I looked at the instructor I saw a shock expression in his face. Like he couldn't believe something for a second. I wonder whats wrong with him?
"Umm, sir?" (Andrei)
With my words he quickly regained his senses.
"Ah. You did good next one please!"
With his words I then left the area and head to the next area for the next part of the test.
*Instructor's Point of view*
"Next!"
After calling the next student to take the exam a boy in his teenage years came with a crimson spear in his hand it looks like this one came from a wealthy family I thought to myself.
"You may begin."
After those words left my mouth the boy raised his spear and a giant flame dragon appeared and destroyed the target. As I witness that my mouth opened as I look in shock. This boy is a monster, the release of his magic was instantaneous unbelievable not to mention the strength of the magic he released is insane.
That flame dragon is similar to the techniques the Hiryuu Clan uses. It seems they gave birth to another monster.
As I was lost in thought the boy made me regain my senses.
"Umm, sir?" (Andrei)
"Ah. You did good, Next please!"
I said quickly after I regained my composure. He then leaves to go to the next part of the test.
*Andrei's Point of view*
As I left the shocked instructor I then head to the second part of the test. I wonder why he was so shocked? Perhaps my magic was weaker than he thought? I guess using my weakest technique was probably as bad idea. He was so shock of how weak it was huh.
As I was thinking that to myself I arrived at the second area for the test. I then looked at the testing grounds it seems the content of the exam is that the instructor will release magic at you while you try to shoot moving target. I saw a lot of students get hit by the magic it seems they lost focus.
After waiting for a while it was finally my turn.
"Next!"
As he said that I prepared my self for the exam.
"Ready?"
I nod towards his question.
"Begin!"
The moving targets then moved as the instructor shoots towards me I then released multiple flame dragons towards all ten targets and released a Flame Dragon Shield to block the incoming attack.
After the dragons destroyed all ten targets the test finished and I walked towards the instructor. His expression is in shock like the last one. Is my magic this time still not up to their standards? Well I guess this is the best academy in Avalon. I should probably go all out in the next test. I hope I do pass.
"Um..."
I try to get his attention.
"Oh sorry,You may head to the next segment of the test.Next!"
He then regained his senses and I was given permission to head to the third and last segment of the test.
*Instructor's Point of view*
This child is inhuman he released ten magic at the same time and even managed to block my attacks this is simply inhuman. For a kid his age to be able to do that is insane. He is a genius!
As I was lost in my thoughts he then approaches me. Oh I still haven't given him permission to head to the next one.
"Oh sorry,You may head to the next segment of the test.Next!"
I then called the next one and sent a message using communication device given to us by the headmaster. To the branch head.
*Head of the Battle Mage Branch,Jayce Thompson.*
As I was reading through the information of the students I got a message through the communication device from one of the instructors about a genius taking the exam according to him his speed of releasing magic is instantaneous and his accuracy is incredible. I then looked for his document in the information of the students. It seems he is from the Hiryu Clan of Fire it seems they produced another monsters even more incredible than the Young Lady of the Hiryuu Clan, Ashley.
As I was reading his document i received another message from one of the instructors regarding this student again it seems he can release 10 magics at the same time. What a genius for him to be able to do that in his age. Bringing his information I then head to the headmaster's office.
I then knocked on the door after I was given permission I then entered the room. Inside the room there is a middle aged man sitting in the table. This was the Headmaster of the Academy. The genius who appeared was honored as a Sage after fending off the monsters who attacked us in the past.was then recruited by all of the 9 great clans but refused them all and became the headmaster.
"Instructor Jayce what have you come here for?"
He said as he offered me a seat. After seating down I then told him about the genius that appeared in the examinations.
After hearing me out he laughed.
"Haha! It seems the academy will be more interesting when school starts."
He said with a smile.
"What do you mean,Headmaster?"
"The other heads of the other branches have all come earlier its seems all 9 clans have birthed a genius among their ranks one of the best among them is the Young Master of the Kokuryuu Clan of Darkness the The Head of the Swordsman Branch has praised him highly earlier."
It seems the academy's peace will not last during the next semester.

*Andrei's Point of view*
I just finished the last segment of the exam the instructor was pretty strong but I beat him in the end I guess he was holding back against me. After leaving the Battle Mage Branch I then head to the waiting area to find my sister. Along the way I bumped into Jian and as he was also heading there we head there together while chatting.
"So how was your side of the tests?" (Jian)
"It was pretty alright I guess I hope I do pass though." (Andrei)
"Im sure you will bud." (Jian)
As we were talking we finally arrived at the waiting area where my sister is at. As we entered my sister approached us accompanying her were three girls near her age.
""Hey sis!""
""Huh?""
Me and Jian said at the same time. It turns out the girl with brown hair wearing green is Jian's sister who is also a friend of my sister.
"So you guys became friends huh thats great." (Ashley)
She then introduced everybody here.
"Nice to meet you I'm Ruoyun. Jian's Brother. You can call my Yun" (Ruoyun)
"Im Christina."
"Jacqueline"
I and Jian then introduced ourselves to them after introduction we all decided to go eat together with them.
