Gargyole Army

"You want to get an inheritance treasure. If you want to become rich and powerful, YOU MUST GIVE BLOOD!"

"I'm sorry, corpse explosion…" Duncan smiled as Wormy and Mona exploded causing the guardian to burst into smithereens. It's face had a look of disgust on it, and Duncan caught its head by the horns.

As for the blood game, he put it inside of his system's storage, as a glowing chest shot out from the ground.

Wormy opened up the chest, trying to impress Mona, as Alberta and Bernie were also summoned to watch for anymore traps.

[One of your summons has found a rare new item, the scythes latitude cross, and it appears to be a mildly rare accessory.]

[Scythes Latitude Cross]

Level 42

Damage reduction 800 / 1500

Elemental Resistance 45 / 60

[Scythes Latitude Cross – an essence gathering object that contains four core elemental resistences that were developed by its previous owner. Has the passive effect of leach, and will take energy from hosts body to strengthen it self to increase its defense.]

[It may also be used for blacksmithing, and can help restore durability to broken items]

"So, why would anyone wear this? Do you recommend I equip it?"

Placing it on his body, he didn't understand why an accessory like this would be in a gold chest.

[This item is extremely useful for blacksmiths and other professions. Perhaps even mining and picking locks would be strengthened due to the leach effect.]

"Okay, please put it in the inventory then, and where do I go next?"

[System's directional sense seems to be malfunctioning due to the aura present in the upcoming chambers. Please trust your best judgment will proceeding forward.]

"Alright, thanks for the tip system…"

Duncan proceeded forward, and everything in the tunnel seemed to be full of traps.

It was extremely tricky.

Whomever made this definitely had been trained in covert operations.

Unless you were a spy, you would never truly understand if someone else was a spy. It was sort of like when he used to play video games, and talked about it to Nyla.

She would look at him innocently, and then he'd have to explain it in laymen terms. He missed her so much, even as he noticed his unpleasant looking ogre face on a mirror.

Falling out of his trance, Wormy and Mona could finally be summoned again.

Ahead of them, a series of over 200 gargoyles , split a hundred and a hundred, marched towards him.

They didn't feel like they cared for his opinion on this matter, and one of them even provokingly chucked a sword at Wormy's diving body.

Wormy spun into the wall, as Mona's steel claws angrily extended.

Steel Brethren Gargoyle

Level 48

HP : 9,000 / 9,000

Power level 50,000 / 60,000

They were all of disparate levels, and should be nothing compared to Phoenix. However, unlike his erstwhile opponents, these monsters acted as one unit.

When a unit acted as one, even if their power levels were much lower than their opponent, they'd still be able to win with proper united movement.

Seeing as how these Gargoyle's were acting smoothly together, and the doorway starting to close, Duncan wisely ran towards the door hoping to avoid a fight.

Frankly, he wasn't suicidal!

With the threat of new demon fallout's on his home planet he had to make it to the door! Rushing like a bolt of lightning, he used the Ghost Tempest Steps and dodged the bending attacks of the gargoyles lances.

He narrowly escaped with his life, but the door already closed as Wormy went flying across the room into the wall breaking the rocks.

Alberta and Bernie were also just as unlucky, and also landed on top of Wormies body.

Mona wasn't any luckier, and didn't land on top of Phoenix. Wormy looked extremely distraught that he didn't have her crash into him, and the fight continued and continued.

Finally, Duncan got the idea, and used corpse explosion on his summons before retracting Mona. She looked somewhat distraught, but the door opened after he recalled them.

It appeared after this point, no one was supposed to be with the inheritance candidate. As the door opened, the gargoyles stomped on the remains of Phoenix looking extremely pissed off.

Duncan laughed and ignored them before the second guardian appeared in front of him. Of course, Duncan had no choice but to resummon Phoenix after a few minutes of waiting.

The guy in the middle room gave off an extremely nefarious presence, and he was a necromancer!

He walked up to it, noticing some long locks floating down its back. It actually appeared to be a pretty girl, and it sighed as Wormy poked its stone hard backside.

"That isn't a treasure you can have." The stone statue started coming to life as Mona slapped Wormy in the back.

He didn't understand why touching the soft structure behind her was wrong, and Duncan sighed telling he'd angered the second guardian.

"I didn't mean to offend you… He barely knows how to talk.."

"Not true Master! WORMY SPECIAL!" Phoenix poked the now softer part with curiosity. Mona looked so intensely mad Duncan had no choice but to send them to the corner.

"It's okay. He's naïve unlike you… I can tell you possess the aura of a true demon like my master…"

Duncan smiled and laughed.

This master of this beautiful lady had definitely been someone special.

"Yes, now what do you want me to do?"

The lady turned around, bending down towards the ground, before she pointed towards her back side.

"Touch me, softly, so I can tell what talents you possess… Please be gentle…"
