" You two are like a pair of dogs that won't eat grass yet won't let the cow eat it as well."
As Ikuya said these words, Both the pair of flood dragons and Chu Yuechan were momentarily stunned.
" Puchi..." A small laugh escaped from the beautiful mouth of Chu Yuechan.
" Roar!!!!"
The Flood Dragons roared out in anger and said thunderously, " Evil Human, How dare you mock our Dragon Race?!"
" You despicable human, we will have you dead no matter what!!" The male flood dragon roared.
" Forget it. Since you're ignorant enough to act in this manner towards me, I have no obligations to persuade you." Ikuya said as his eyes shined with blue brilliance.
The Flood Dragons that were floating in the sky suddenly fell to the ground powerlessly with shocked expressions. Chu Yuechan was shocked by this sudden turn of events.
" Y-You.... You.... C-cut off our.... Life veins and profound veins...?!" The male Flood Dragon uttered with disbelief as it's life and profound strength was leaving it swiftly.
" You brainless snakes. If you had simply accepted the truth and backed down, you wouldn't have had to lose your lives like this." Ikuya said, but the flood dragons had already perished and their lifeless bodies laid there.
Ikuya stretched out his right hand and a suction force erupted from the centre of his palm. The vicious poison from the bodies of the Flood Dragons were being forcibly extracted and condensed into a fist-sized black orb in the middle of Ikuya's palm.
Chu Yuechan slowly appeared a few feet away from Ikuya as she witnessed the poison condensing process. She was slightly used to Ikuya's 'Weird' actions after following him for about three months. So she won't be shocked every single time Ikuya does something incomprehensible.
But, Chu Yuechan was still shocked by the degree of power that Ikuya commands. Since Ikuya doesn't use more strength than necessary in any situation, Chu Yuechan has no clue of how much stronger Ikuya really is.
She suspected that Ikuya might be an 'Overlord' or even a 'Monarch'.
(Note:- 'Overlord' is a title used to refer to the cultivators of Tyrant Profound Realm and 'Monarch' is a title used to refer to the cultivators of Sovereign Profound Realm.)
" Now that all the poison is cleared, it's meat should be edible." Ikuya said as he had completely extracted the poison of the Flood Dragons and condensed into a black orb and he immediately burned it off with his newly formed Fire Psionic powers which is capable of burning even a Sovereign Profound Realm expert to ashes.
Ikuya lifted the massive carcasses of the Flood Dragons using Telekinesis and then said to Chu Yuechan, " Woman, we're having Dragon meat barbecue tonight."
A strange light flickered in Chu Yuechan's beautiful eyes for a second before it returned to normal.
" If you were going to kill them, why did you talk to these dragons like you didn't want to kill them?" Chu Yuechan couldn't help but ask.
" Well, they were fighting for their own beliefs, even if wrong, to the very end without abandoning their beliefs out of fear. They believed that their 'Dragon God's Treasure' shouldn't be polluted by others and they fought for this belief all this time. In this regard, these ignorant snakes proved to be much better than most of the humans. So I thought I should at least give them a chance to survive." Ikuya said as he stored the corpses of the Flood Dragons into his Pocket Dimension.
" Better than humans? I really don't understand anything you say. You're saying that these cruel and unreasonable dragons are better than humans? Do you even realize that you're berating yourself by saying such a thing." Chu Yuechan said in her usual cold tone.
Ikuya turned to face Chu Yuechan and said, " How many humans do you think will uphold their own beliefs at all costs, even when their very life is at stake?"
" That..." Chu Yuechan couldn't answer. She couldn't refute Ikuya's claim at all, even though she wanted to refute as she herself is a human.
" Being born with high intelligence, humans have both positive and negative mindset. So almost 98% of the humans will act in accordance to the situations and wouldn't hesitate to abandon their beliefs for their own survival." Ikuya said.
" .... " Chu Yuechan couldn't say anything in response.
" Of course, this isn't exactly wrong. Or rather, it's the smart way to live. What's the point of holding onto useless beliefs if it will only cause you your life." Ikuya said.
Chu Yuechan was feeling a bit conflicted after hearing Ikuya's words. Ikuya saw this and sighed. He then moved near her and flicked her forehead with his fingers.
" Woman, don't go doubting your own existence because of my words. Being human is nothing to be ashamed of. Instead you should be proud of it." Ikuya said as he slightly patted Chu Yuechan's head. She was too dazed to even react.
" We're getting off the point here. I just commended the flood dragons' resolution of holding onto their beliefs even at the cost of their lives. Only in this regard, these dragons were better than humans. Of course, I don't approve of their foolish obsession with their beliefs that is obviously wrong." Ikuya said as he took his hand back and then walked towards a dwarf mountain which had a cave entrance that was in sight.
Chu Yuechan finally came to herself and didn't know what to do. She had gotten used to Ikuya's presence so much that even her instincts of automatically preventing any men from coming in contact with her had become useless against Ikuya.
She felt humiliated by this man's casual behaviour towards her, yet, there was also something else building up inside her. An indescribable feeling she has never felt before.
" Woman, do you know what humans consciously or subconsciously seek the most?" Ikuya suddenly asked as Chu Yuechan followed behind him.
" Peaceful life and success?" Chu Yuechan replied in an unsure manner.
Ikuya didn't turn around as he said, " Of course not. You don't really understand much of Secular World, do you? If you did, you wouldn't give such a naïve answer."
Indeed. Chu Yuechan didn't have much knowledge about the secular world as she had spent most of her life time in the Frozen Cloud Asgard. Other than the few people at Frozen Cloud Asgard, Ikuya is the first and only person to have had such a long conversation with Chu Yuechan, much less get close to her.
" Then what is it?" Chu Yuechan asked, feeling a bit ashamed.
" It's improvement. No matter what field it is, humans seek improvement in everything they do. It's an instinctive nature of humans." Ikuya said.
Chu Yuechan was momentarily stunned and thought about herself. She also wanted to improve in various fields just like others.
Before reaching the cave, Ikuya silently retrieved three drops of Phoenix blood from his Pocket Dimension. The three drops of Phoenix blood appeared in his sea of consciousness.
Ikuya let the three drops of blood enter his blood circulation system and also made sure that his own blood wouldn't destroy the Phoenix blood.
In a few minutes, Ikuya entered the cave and Chu Yuechan after a bit of hesitation entered the cave as well.
This place was very dark and very quiet. Not even the sound of the wind could be heard at all.
When they had entered into the depths of the dark cave, Fera who was sleeping in Ikuya's arms suddenly woke up and jumped out of Ikuya's arms as it returned to it's normal huge size.
" Screech!!!"
Fera let out a thunderous Phoenix cry as immense pressure of a Primordial Divine Beast descended on the entire Wasteland Of Death, scaring all the profound beasts regardless of its ranks. Yet, all the scared profound beasts felt reverence towards the presence of the Primordial Divine Beast which is Fera.
This sudden cry from Fera had startled Chu Yuechan and even surprised Ikuya. He never expected Fera to react like this.
Suddenly, an ancient voice slowly rang out from the air above him.
" This really is unexpected.... To think a Primordial Phoenix still exists in this world. And young man, if I'm not wrong, you possess a bit of the Phoenix bloodline, do you not?"
" Who said that?!" Chu Yuechan was instantly alerted and was on guard.
" Young human, you do not need to be worried. I am a mere wisp of a residual soul left behind by the Primordial Azure Dragon that watches over this trial ground. I won't harm you." The ancient voice sounded once more.
Ikuya didn't have any surprise to this sudden voice. This was his objective of coming here.
The Dragon God's Trial and of course, his main objective, the Dragon God's Origin Blood!
