"I am not weak. I am not weak." Xiuying chanted to herself as she clenched on edge of the marble sink in her bedroom bathroom. Her breathing rapid and heavy as her head began to pulse out with a small pain. Pill bottles scattered on her counter. Gazing up at the mirror her eyes widen in fear as he appeared behind her with a crazy grin on his face.
"You're not real. You're not real." Xiuying cried out feeling her body grow cold as her body trembled out in fear. He took slow steps forward before he let out a silent chuckle wrapping his cold arms around her shoulders from behind. His cold gazed locked on hers across the mirror as he bends his head to her ear.
"I am real and you will never escape me." He whispered in her ear with a cold laugh, tears streamed down her cheeks as she fell down to the ground on her knees her strength vanishing. In a second he vanished leaving her there in a moment of fear and weakness. Crying she hugged her knees close to herself as she shook her head back and forth.
"This is a nightmare, a nightmare. But I can't ever wake up."
...
Humming to herself happily Ming skipped down the hall to Xiuying's room a uniform for her in her arms. Her mind filled with plans for the two at the academy.
"Xiu Xiu, good morning." The young cheerful girl knocked at the girl's said door before opening the unlocked door. Her smile instantly turned to anger as she saw her brother sitting up on the bed.
"What are you doing here you big pervert? Even your own cousin won't stop you-"
"Shut it, bunhead," Fengge spoke out in a serious stern voice low enough for the girl besides his not to stir in her sleep.
"huh why you-"
"Quiet or you'll wake her up." Gazing up at his younger sister with one look was enough to shut the girl up. Her face turned to worry as she took in the pale complexion Xiuying's face and her dark circles under her eyes.
"Is she okay?" Ming said speaking in a low worried tone.
"Yeah, she is now. She didn't take the medicine the doctors gave her though. Her crying woke me up, thankfully it did." Fengge said with a tried sigh running his finger through his hair while smoothly petting the sleeping girl on her head as she curled up beside him using his lap as a pillow. Her calm face and soft breaths were enough for him to let out a small realized smile. Gazing up at from the young girl Ming's eyes widen taking in her own brother's exhausted appearance.
"Big brother...Were you up all night looking after her?" Ming questioned her brother surprised a bit envious of the sleeping girl.
Since she was a child she knew how well her brother looked after Xiuying. His focus always more on the girl he treated like a beloved sister than his own real twin. Even the night Xiuying had disappeared he had gone in a rage almost hitting Ming for losing sight of Xiuying. Even though it had not been her fault. He had searched for her for days without sleeping and barely eating. He never stopped, he had scared her those days. How frightening and cold he had been, it wasn't till Xiuying was found that he finally collapsed from exhaustion after rushing over to Xiuying's side at the hospital. That was when Ming knew how dear Fengge treated Xiuying, they had always been closer than they as twins were supposed to be.
Clenching her fists behind her she gave Fengge a small hesitating smile placing Xiuying's uniform on a chair nearby.
"It's still really early so you should sleep a little before school. I'll leave first since I have activities to do before school starts." Ming spoke in a rush walking slow steps out the door.
"Hm, thanks," Fengge muttered his eyes already closed as fixed himself to lay beside the young sleeping girl. His hand subconsciously taking the young girl's in his before his soft snores filled the room. The image of a familiar scene of the two twins sleeping beside one another as children filled Ming's mind. Shaking her head she forced the sweet bitter memory away as she closed the door shut behind her. Taking in a deep breath she closed her eyes for a second staring down at the ground. With one more shake of her head she slapped her cheeks with a more cheerful expression.
"I shouldn't be jealous. Xiuying needs big brother right now." Ming muttered to herself nodding to herself before she stood up straight walking down the halls to leave for school.
Stupid sibling jealousy
