Eat You Up

When they walked out of the bar, she saw Huo Li with his hands in his pockets, making his way leisurely inside. Lu Zhaoyang shuddered at the thought of whatever ruthless methods he was about employ on the man inside.

The winter breeze blew and she curled further inward in Huo Yunting's arms.

Her unintentional reaction pleased Huo Yunting. He slowly made his way towards the car.

Inside the car, she no longer felt the icy cold wind nor his body warmth.

Lu Zhaoyang put her phone back into her bag and looked at Huo Yunting, who was sitting beside her. "Did Yazhi call you?"

He would never have known about her whereabouts otherwise.

"I hope that you would make the call next time." Huo Yunting did not look at her. He stepped on the accelerator and drove onto the main street.

"Huo Yunting, thank you." She had nothing else to say. Gratitude, however, was appropriate and necessary.

"You know that I never need gratitude in the form of words."
