A Lifelong Mistake

Ye Jian looked outside. Standing at the door and talking wasn't a good idea. She turned sideways and said to Qin Xiu, "I just came back in the early morning. Come in and have a seat."

If it wasn't Qin Xiu standing at the door, Ye Jian wouldn't have opened it casually.

Ye Jian's invitation made Qin Xiu, the undefeated diplomat, not know how he walked in from the entrance and sat on the couch. Even when Ye Jian poured him a glass of water, Qin Xiu stood up in a flurry like a child and took the glass.

In comparison, Ye Jian was much calmer.

"I have something to talk to you about. I'm sorry, I just woke up. I'll wash my face and brush my teeth first. Sit down first." Ye Jian didn't seem to notice Qin Xiu's flurry. She smiled faintly and went upstairs to wash her hair.

Qin Xiu came to this home more often than her. He probably wouldn't feel uncomfortable sitting alone.
