The Old Man is a Housekeeper

The sun hide behind the brown and thick clouds, within a smooth wind a pair of leaves broke their relations and fall, the spring breezes side with the moon and remain calm. Before she does n't have the chance to appreciate the scenery because of her situation but now after confirmed that she is safe she tries to appreciate the ancient sky and land that has been lost. No, it's information gathering, information gathering! Don't get her wrong.

After walks around 500 feet's the scenery start to change, the bustling soldiers couldn't be heard anymore. It's as if you come to another side of continent where only the wind and the trees waves their branches. Swaying right and left, inviting visitors to come.

A water flows throughout the soil in front and a tink of red can be seen.

"This is the place. You can use the water from this river to wash the clothes and ... that person over there, you can ask him anything. Well that's all. I will be going then. Bye little musk!" He need to get away before a meddlesome people notice him and start a round of lecture.

'Little musk? Heh! How many nickname he will comes up! How could everyone of them is really bad. It's a wonder.' His name senses need to be questioned. What name did he give to his slave? We...w she feels sorry for them.

'I am better check out the tent and change my clothes.' From the moment she got kidnap until now Ning Rui haven't see a single woman. It's understandable though. What can a mere weak woman do in the battlefield? Well maybe cooking? Or physiatrist? No, they won't permit interaction between male and female. Hm...? For relieving their... uhum. They use a woman for that right? Or boy toy? Ning Rui shake her heads. No way right? Ops, stop thinking unnecessary thing she need to change first.

After some time Ning Rui survey the place she pick up a stick of wood to support her injury leg. The ointment is pretty good because not long after she applied it, the pain couldn't be felt anymore.

Pairs of clothes hanging in the front but Ning Rui could not see any people. She look at her own clothes and there's some hole here and there. She made up her mind and take a pair.

"Oh big brother, whatever your name. Let me borrow your clothes for a while." After pick a some what decent clothes Ning Rui go to a seclude room and change. But, before she has the time to take off her old clothes there is a sudden noise.

"Hey who are you?" An angry voice suddenly emerge from behind partition. Ning Rui jump and almost drop the clothes. She look up and an old man emerges from behind.

'Uh, could he not startled her like that, she almost had a heart attack.'

"I'm here to wash clothes! Um, the Young master I mean the Young General give me the task." Ning Rui answer the old man with uncertainty.

"Where?" The old man ask her again.

"Ah? What?" Ning Rui confused. What is where? She didn't even know this place if you want to ask about something better ask other people.

The Old Man furrow his brow. He look at Ning Rui with a questioning gaze.

"Your identification!"

"Ah? Is there something like that?" Ning Rui answer instinctively.

"Follow me!" The Old Man give a command.

"Where?" She just arrived here not long ago. Does she need to walk again?

The Old Man only walk away without a second look.

'He didn't know me, should I escape? But with her injury she won't be able to ran and in the future, for sometime she need to stay here so it's best if she does not antagonise the people that will become her landlord and superior.' Aish... what superior, from the figure he looked like a grandpa from the bookstore she often visit before. Anyway there's some vibe that difference from him, he is not an ordinary old man. It's better to be cautious, if he is really her superior it will be hell, just look at his attitude. Everyone here is really hateful whether young nor old they don't even understand the word of woman and delicate.

After walking and keep walking they stop in front of the General tent. Ning Rui angry, did they thing she is a dog that run there and here without stopping. She just leaves from this place and now, here she is, again.

"Tell the General that Old Man from the riverside wanna meet him."

"Yes sir!" The guards seem recognized the old man because they relays the information immediately.

Hey hey, how come they respect the Old Man so much. Does he is really an important figure here? So it's a blessing that she didn't do anything foolish. He is not just anybody! What's his rank here? Ning Rui pondering but still couldn't come up with a satisfying answer.

Sometimes later the guard that reported our arrival coming out from the tent. "The General permits the both of you to enter." He said as open the tent slightly.

The General sat down and in the middle of mountains paper. He looked up to her and the old man then assumed his work.

"Li You salute the General." He kowtow to the General and waiting the response.

'The Old Man name was kinda, how should she say it, cute? Like a maiden name.' Ning Rui trying hard to hold her laughter.

"Hmm... get up, you are my father retainer and friend, I already excused you from kneeling." What a stubborn old man! Though if this Old one didn't have that obstinate will power he(the General) would not be here now because some of the old generations only listen to him.

"Grandpa you are my elder, how many times do I need to tell you that you didn't have to kneel!" The General reminds him either who knew how many times already.

"This Old Man understand it just in front of outsiders we still need to maintain the principle, Young Master!" He knows how much tribulations the Young Master faced until now because he is the one that take care of him since his childhood. And either one of them can be passed by a normal boy in the Young Master age.
