Soul Star

Han felt as if he was reborn and had broken off his mortal shackles, his soul sent out strong undulations while it slowly started to shrink and only stopped after it was half the size it previously was.

It was because the amount of impurities that were in his soul were slowly being refined and expelled from his body, causing his soul to become more pure and solidified. His soul strength increased by at least ten fold and he felt like the surrounding environment around him starting to become clearer through his spiritual sense.

He felt as if he now had full control of his body and had the ability to isolate the usage of any muscle he wanted. The sense of total control exhilarated him.

His eyesight got keener and sharper, objects that were within a radius of 10km were crystal clear to him. He could see the vein patterns on each leaves that hung onto a tree from exactly 9km away, it was no different from him standing close to it while observing.

Time slowly went by , only when the sun was beginning to set did Han return back to his senses.

After having experienced that mystical state, Han now had a deeper understanding of the human soul and the effects it brought when it was strong.

He could now feel that the constant temptations from his newly awakened bloodline starting to fade away and he could maintain his Unique Race's transformation state for a couple of hours without losing control. As long as he did not exceed the new limit, Han was no different than his normal state.

But he was not satisfied with just a few hours of controlling his bloodline, he wanted total and full control of it. After his soul evolved and became stronger, the feeling of having everything within his grasp stuck with Han and he did not want to settle for anything less. But he now knew that with the strengthening of his soul, he could slowly be in full control of the bloodline and turn it into something that was truly his.

He then called out for the system.

Hidden Function : Impervious to any soul attacks , any invasions from external sources that targets at the host's soul will now be ineffective.'

'Host may choose to evolve the skill or leave it as it is'

Han said decisively, soul based martial skills were considered rare in the first place and him getting such a skill was due to luck. He had no idea where and when he would get another soul skill to work with, hence the reason for evolving the one that he had.

'Ding'

'Martial skill [Pangu Visualization Art] has reached its level limit and is now eligible for an upgrade'

'Intializing...'

' Congratulations, martial skill [Pangu Visualization Art] has now evolved into [Soul star technique]! '

[Soul star technique] : By cultivating with this set of martial skills, one may deepen their connection they have with the universe, allowing them to sense the celestial and constellations, allowing them to draw power from the stars to hone their soul.

After gaining the newly evolved skill, Han could faintly feel a connection between him and the constellations and visible starlight shone on him for awhile before it faded away. Han nodded his head in satisfaction with the new skill and continued his journey back.

When Han returned to the sect, there was surprisingly a lot of bustle around the main square, there were a lot of disciples gathered around and having animated discussions. Han's curiosity was evoked and he wanted to know what the fuss was about. He walked towards a group of males who were standing at a corner and asked.

-Greetings to fellow senior brothers, what is the reason for the gathering of so many disciples here today?

Noticing a young teen questioning them, the excited young men were more then willing to enlighten him and immediately pulled him into the group.

-Hello junior brother, seems like you've not been catching up to the recent news, there is a martial competition coming up in 3 months which is hosted by all the major sects that resides in the Long Hu Empire! The main point of this competition is for the Empire to groom the younger generation and pick out the more talented ones and groom them!

Even for those who were not picked out, there are still precious resources that were set as prizes to be won! Of course everybody will be excited!

The male disciple who was answering to Han's doubt stopped speaking and caught his breath, swallowing a mouthful of saliva before he continued.

-There is also going to be a ranking for those who participate and it is the best chance for people to make a name for themselves and the strongest of the younger generation will all be gathering there, all the young experts will be there ah, it is something that will happen only once in a blue moon! So many of the younger generation treat them as their goal and idol, even if there were no prizes to be won, most would still be willing to attend the martial competition just to see the younger generation experts!

After conversing long enough with the group, Han gave his thanks and bid his farewells. He was certainly interested about the martial competition, not because of being picked out by the empire or for the rewards, he was more interested in the younger generation experts, he wanted to contest against them and know where he stood within the younger generation, even though he was strong, he did not exactly how strong he was. All he had done ever since he arrived in this world was self improving and fighting against beasts, competing against people in the same generation as him would most certainly give him an idea on his current progress.
