Those words were like powerful daggers that struck into Lin Wuyi's sore spot. As a middle-aged man, he was still quite young, and was considered of marriageable age. Any man his age would have long since been married-- Except that he wasn't. Thinking he was about to be scolded for his misbehaviour, he responded without thinking while cold sweat ran through his back.
"N-no..."
Seeing that he answered honestly, Su Wuyan's smile became more pronounced, and her eyes seemed to glitter like sparkles.
Despite her excitement, Su Wuyan had to force herself to calm down. She had to thread this path carefully, or she wouldn't be able to earn this trophy!
"Uncle Lin, if you've never had a wife, then what kind of wife do you wish for?" she asked softly.
Seeing that her questions were rather strange, Lin Wuyi's previously nervous expression instantly changed. Despite the invasiveness of her questions, Lin Wuyi decided he must still answer them truthfully.
"I don't care whether she has a bad personality or if she is ugly, as long as we hold the same ideals, she will be great for me." he said matter-of-factly.
Hearing his view, Su Wuyan's eyebrow lifted in surprise.
"Say Uncle Lin, you're still a virgin, aren't you?" she asked with a knowing smile.

This question was like a thousand arrows were shot at Lin Wuyi's dignity.
It was true. He hasn't tasted a woman as of yet! As far as sexual advances and relationships went, he was a blank slate!
If you asked other thirty-something year old bachelors off the street, they would all point to a certain street in a corner of the kingdom, claiming they would never be tormented like that! All except Lin Wuyi.
A trace of embarrassment flashed across his face as he clenched his fists and his ears flushed a deep red. It took him a long time before he could answer Su Wuyan's question.
"Y-yes..." he said rather unwillingly.
A light chuckle was heard as soon as he replied.
Su Wuyan couldn't hold herself back from laughing. In her old world, such an innocent hunk would be considered gay! If it wasn't because of his previous remark, she would probably never have considered him as a target, but since he had, she might as well enjoy this innocent specimen.
Hearing her chuckle, Lin Wuyi's complexion went even redder and he complained.
"M-Misstress quit messing around." as he covered his face in shame.
"Haha, oh sorry I'm not laughing at you! No, no it isn't that. I just find it adorable that you're so innocent." she teased as she wiped a tear off her face.
This man was really an adorable guy.
"Innocent? I'm not innocent!" Lin Wuyi's eyes widened with disbelief as though he had misheard.
"That's right. I said innocent. Lin Wuyi, you are quite the catch, you know? I wouldn't be surprised if many women had approached you before! It's too bad... you've probably blown them off with your innocence." She said as she came closer to Lin Wuyi.
Gulp.
Being unaccustomed to his young mistress' forward behaviour, he couldn't help but take a step back when she came forward as cold sweat formed on his back.
"M-Miss-"
As Lin Wuyi was trying to say something, he was silenced by Su Wuyan's finger. Her face came closer to his ear. Their distance much closer than it was appropriate.
"Lin Wuyi, I may be younger than you, but I do think my knowledge in that area isn't as lacking as yours..." she whispered in his ear and slowly her voice became softer with every word she said.
Hearing her, Lin Wuyi's heartbeat rose.
Even at this distance, such a level of seduction would not pass unnoticed by any man.
And at this moment, they were alone in Su Wuyan's bridal chamber.
Lin Wuyi took a deep breath and calmed himself down. And while fighting every inch of his being to not give himself into temptation, he said in a serious tone.
"Miss Su, it is morning and your father, the general has been looking for you. We must leave immediately." He stated calmly. His previously foggy and flustered expression was now clear and calm.
Having said his piece, he pushed her away from himself and calmly turned to leave while Su Wuyan stared in confusion.
How strange... he wasn't swayed?
Am I ugly? Or is he gay?
She wondered as she touched her face.

At the general's residence, a bearded man walked in circles while muttering some gibberish under his breath.
Seated nearby was a beautiful young girl dressed in a beautifully crafted red dress, with fair skin, a petite nose and beautiful silver hair tied with a hairpin on a half bun.
This was none other than Su Wuyan. In the modern world she would be considered among the top beauties. But in this world, she would be considered a goddess amongst commoners, needless to say, she was gorgeous!
Especially because of her mesmerising silver hair and peculiar bluish green eyes.
When she first looked at herself in the mirror, Su Wuyan was shocked.
Her original appearance was that of a dark haired asian modern beauty, but her current appearance reflected nothing like that.
She had plump rosy cheeks and fair white skin, like that you see in stories of princesses and goddesses.
What was most peculiar was... her silver hair!
One must know, that her father. The general, who was currently pacing around restlessly, had dark brown hair!
So it was surprising to find herself with such a strange, yet different hair colour.
Just as Su Wuyan was pondering over this mystery, General Su Luchen stopped his movements. And stood in front of Su Wuyan, closely observing her expression.
"Yan'er. Why don't you seem worried at all?" He asked, concerned.
General Su had always been a strict, yet caring parent.
Every whim of hers, he would fulfil. And knowing his daughter, by now she would have turned the kingdom upside down trying to find that treacherous couple, but she had instead remained completely calm and indifferent to her situation.
Hearing his question, the previous Su Wuyan that had been lost in thought, looked up at the man before her and stared straight into his deep green eyes.
"Father, he might have cheated on me, but he was a prince. The heir to the throne. And once we married, we became husband and wife and everything he has also belongs to me. Isn't that so?" She asked, rhetorically.
Before General Su could interrupt her, she continued.
"Since he is now my husband, and my husband who was supposed to assume command of the throne has fled the country, the throne, who do you think will be left to rule it? I would be a fool not to take what is now rightfully mine no?" She asked as a devilish smile crept on to her face.
Hearing his daughter's words, General Su's expression which was previously filled with anger and anxiousness, was now filled with pride and excitement.
"You mean...?"
"You know exactly what I mean, and as my father I believe you know what should be done next better than anyone." Her smile became more pronounced as her words fell, before looking in a distant direction.
"I don't believe that idiotic husband of mine won't come back if he sees I took everything from him. I wonder... a prince such as him... would he be willing to forgo his entire country for a mere woman?" These last words of Su Wuyan contained a deep hidden resentment.
As a witness to his daughter's sudden change in attitude, General Su felt that his usually hot-tempered, troublemaking daughter had suddenly become smarter and more sensible.
"Very Good! That's my daughter!" He laughed heartily as he rubbed his fingered against his beard.
"If that is so then I will make the arrangements with the advisory council and inform the dukes that such changes are to be made. I'm sure they won't disagree." He said with a smile that wasn't quite a smile. If someone had been looking closely, they would see that General Su's eyes had, at that moment flashed with a cold light.
Sitting on one side, Lin Wuyi had listened to everything and was very surprised at Su Wuyan's sudden change in attitude.
After all, it was just yesterday that she had been a love-blinded fool for the crown prince. Thinking until this point, Lin Wuyi wondered if maybe his mistress had gone through a terrible experience...?
