Found a stray, sick rabbit and invited him to dinner!

Within the next few days, Su Wuyan dragged Lin Wuyi around for everything, with the excuse that he was her "kept husband".

"Miss Su, we only have these robes in green and red, w-would you like to try them on?"

The old shopkeeper asked nervously.

"Really? Well that's just great. I'll have them both then." Su Wuyan replied, a smile on her face.

"Eh? You aren't going to try them on?" The shopkeeper was startled. Usually, this Young Miss from the General's House would flaunt all her money like a dandy, and arrogantly try them all on, before only deciding on only one, if not trashing the shop for not having the colours she wanted.

"Mm. I'm confident they'll fit well. I like them a lot!"

Seemingly confused, he looked to the man standing next to Su Wuyan, as if to ascertain that it wasn't a mistake.

This young man was none other than Lin Wuyi, who also seemed slightly startled by Su Wuyan's new way of shopping.

As if in a daze, he nodded subconsciously while his face was grim. Upon obtaining confirmation, the shopkeeper wrapped up both outfits and put them in a box with a rather blank look on his face.

Su Wuyan, who was seemingly oblivious to the weird looks coming from the shopkeeper and Lin Wuyi, thanked the shopkeeper and began to walk out of the store humming a little tune on the way out.

Seeing her walk out, Lin Wuyi couldn't help but sigh as he took ahold of the box and followed her out.

This happened a few more times throughout the day, when Su Wuyan visited various kinds of shops all over the city.

Poor Lin Wuyi had no choice but to continue to follow her and arrange a separate carriage for all the things she had bought.

.....

"Miss- I mean, Wuyan, wait!" Lin Wuyi called out with difficulty as he chased after Su Wuyan.

It had been about 4 days since he had been labelled as a kept husband unofficially. During these few days, Su Wuyan had been repeatedly making him call her by her name, rather than the usual "Mistress" he would address her with.

Su Wuyan smiled as she heard his call. Thus, she turned around to meet Lin Wuyi, but was instead met with a wall in front of her.

Thud!

She had evidently crashed into someone else. So, seeing this 'wall' had suddenly blocked her way, Su Wuyan furrowed her brows and took a step back to see who had blocked her.

What came into view was the face of a handsome albino, seemingly between 18 to 19 years old. What was striking were his crimson red eyes that were staring at her, like a pair of scorching hot fireballs wanting to burn her down.

Su Wuyan couldn't help but raise her brow upon seeing the young man's fine features.

In modern times, a man with such looks would be labelled as an 'exotic dish'. Immediately, Su Wuyan's eyes glimmered with a trace of lust.

Her previous pathetic life was quite boring, and any man she found that was remotely attractive was either taken or was not interested in women!

What was left was obviously the leftovers. It was already lucky for her to find such fine young men so close by.

Perhaps she might make a harem one of these days if she was up for it. Who knows?

"Can you please move?" asked the man with slight displeasure.

As though having reacted to his words, Su Wuyan stopped her daydreaming as she smiled mischievously.

"No. I can't."

Hearing her unexpected reply, for a moment he was a little surprised. But the next second, his surprise turned into annoyance.

"Why not?" He pouted.

From this angle, although Su Wuyan was much shorter in stature compared to him, they were still not far off from each other, so to Su Wuyan, this man looked more adorable and harmless like a rabbit. This made Su Wuyan, who usually liked to keep her cool around men, almost squeal like a fan girl.

This man was her type!

She couldn't just let him leave, could she?

So she decided to keep him too!

"Because, you bumped into me. I haven't heard you apologise yet." She said coolly, a smile on her face.

The albino man immediately lifted his brows in surprise once more, before simply saying.

"Sorry for bumping into you Miss. Could you please let me pass through?" He asked once more, though this time he was more polite.

Hearing his question, a wicked smile was planted on Su Wuyan's face, as she answered in the same way.

"No. I don't think I will. In fact, mister why don't you make it up to me? How about inviting me to dinner?" She asked with a wicked grin on her face.

The man just looked at her in confusion before resolutely refusing.

"No thanks. I just want to leave." He said simply.

"Oh come on, don't be like that. If you invite me to dinner I'll be nice enough to tell you why it is that you're feeling that constant pain your stomach, and why you feel so lightheaded and want to throw up." She said confidently.

Hearing her words, the albino man's eyes widened and finally gave her his attention.

"Okay." He replied dryly.

Immediately afterwards, Lin Wuyi who had been trying to catch up to her, had finally caught up.

Seeing Su Wuyan looking at this peculiar young albino, Lin Wuyi's eyebrows rose. Slowly, he walked over and stood next to Su Wuyan, who was at that moment smiling at the albino man.

"Wuyan, is there a problem?" He asked, frowning.

Hearing Lin Wuyi's voice seemed to remind Su Wuyan that he was already with her.

With a pout, she answered.

"It's nothing. This mister... oh yeah, what's your name?" She asked suddenly.

"Zhao Yunxu."

"Mm. I'm Su Wuyan, just call me Little Sister Wuyan." She said happily.

"Little Sister Wuyan."

"Right." Just as she said this, she turned to Lin Wuyi and explained.

"So, Brother Yunxu will be coming with us to have dinner. Okay Wuyi?" She asked him rather coquettishly.

Hearing her rather flirtatious voice, Lin Wuyi blushed before nodding slightly and looking away.

He originally had been worried about this man bothering her, but it looks... like it had been the other way around!

But... why did this make him uncomfortable and mildly irritated? Was he sick?

....

In a restaurant not far away, 3 people were seated in silence in one of the most luxurious private rooms.

The atmosphere had been quiet and no one had said a word in the last half hour.

On one side of the table was a handsome middle-aged man and a beautiful young woman, while on the other side was an equally handsome white-haired young man staring at the pair with coldness in his eyes.

There were a lot of exquisite dishes that had yet to be touched on the table, and while they had been seated without speaking, they also hadn't touched the food.

Seemingly unable to bear it any longer, the first one to speak, surprisingly wasn't Lin Wuyi who had been quite curious on why this unknown young man had been invited over to dinner. But rather, it was Su Wuyan who had spoken first.

"Brother Yunxu, does your stomach hurt?" She asked worriedly.

Zhao Yunxu, whose complexion seemed pale only replied with a nod.

"Can you try pressing on it? Does it hurt more when you do?"

Listening to her instructions, Zhao Yunxu held one of his hands on his lower abdomen and pressed on where he felt pain.

Immediately afterwards, Zhao Yunxu hissed at the unexpected worsening of the pain that came with this touch.

"As I suspected. You have appendicitis." She said calmly.

"Appendicitis?" Zhao Yunxu was puzzled .

He had never heard of such a disease before, so instead he looked toward the man sitting next to Wuyan.

Lin Wuyi had been silent this whole time as he didn't know what Su Wuyan had planned to do, and was rather worried about her relationship with Zhao Yunxu.

However, he too was surprised at her sudden knowledge in medicine. So when he was stared at by Zhao Yunxu, he showed a puzzled expression.

Seeing that he too, didn't understand this language, he proceeded to ask.

"And what's that?"

This question was immediately answered by Su Wuyan, only... her explanation was equally as puzzling.

"In other words, that's the medical name for your illness of the side. There is an organ on your side, which has swollen due to the toxins in your body. But I will need to investigate further if I want to know the severity of the issue."

"If nothing goes wrong, you might end up getting away with consuming strong medicinal herbs. But if this organ has perforated your stomach, then I'm afraid..."

Hearing her last few words, Zhao Yunxu's face paled considerably. Even if he didn't understand all the medical jargon that Su Wuyan had used, he had understood her meaning near the end, so he nervously swallowed some non-existent saliva and asked.

"Will I die?" He asked, cold sweat drenching his back.

Seeing him pale a whiter shade and look anxiously in her direction, Su Wuyan wanted to laugh right there, but upon realising that an illness of the side like appendicitis could in fact turn out to be fatal, she instead cleared her throat and answered his concerns.

"You could die if left untreated. But with me here, you'll be fine." She smiled confidently.

Seeing her confidence, Zhao Yunxu sighed in relief, while Lin Wuyi seemed slightly nervous.

Just how on earth did Su Wuyan come to know of this information? She's only but a child, there's no way she could hold such an advanced and unusual knowledges by herself.

Had she perhaps been hiding this talent all along...? Even from him?

At this thought, Lin Wuyi frowned. Something about her new behaviour made him feel uneasy. As though she wasn't the arrogant and wilful young lady he knew in the past... as if she had changed.
