I wanted to do nothing more than rip my hair out from my head. It felt like everything was going wrong for me. I'd been thrown into a basically almost finished mini-game that wasn't finished at all, and was approaching a second round that was tougher!
Sucking in a few deep breathes, I managed to calm the raging nerves and remember that I already found myself in this situation. The only thing that I could do was survive, I had very little knowledge about where I was…
Yet, I also seemed to have been gifted a cheat like pet!
Didn't that mean that someone was looking out for me or that my luck was solid and might very well keep me alive?!
With that in mind, I patted Royal. I had to think, as long as I kept my wits about me, then I would be fine and wouldn't be blindsided too much.
Looking around, I found that other than the tree there wasn't much else around or rather there wasn't anyone else either. That means that at the moment, I was safe from the other player.
So far, I'd only run into clowns and hadn't met anyone else that has been designated a player. But them being another player didn't mean that I was out of danger either, but it also didn't mean that they might not help me.
At the moment, I had ticking time.
I had to meet the other player, maybe, we could combine our power and see if we could kill this King Clown and his court!
That's right!
I only had once choice at the moment and that was to forge ahead, I only had the choice to move forward. Staying still would be the same as welcoming death to my doorstep.
It didn't matter that I didn't know anything about this world, I was still alive. If I wanted to stay alive, I had no choice but to adapt to the situation that was on hand and do my best to survive the trials that were ahead of me.
Nodding my head, I look upwards and at the top of my vision was a timer that was counting down. It read 10:45 and the time was continually ticking downwards.
Below the timer was a counter, the counter read 「Clown Counter: 12/64」there were only a few lefts, but I had no idea how large the game area was…
Then the counter clicked down to 11, it looks like the other player was also desperately trying to clear the counter before the time hit three hours.
Gritting my teeth, I steel myself.
"Royal head forward, we need to try and kill as many clowns as possible!" I told him desperately. Seeming to understand my desperation, we bolted off.
His body pulsed with muscles as he began to shoot forward.
I wasn't afraid of these normal clowns, Royal seemed to have no problem squashing them into nothing. It was the fear of the King Clown that startled me. I'd punched one of the baby clowns or whatever it was it'd barely budged.
That's was what made me worry.
Would I be able to fight off these beasts or would they consume me?!
As we moved forward, we came across some other odd creatures, and we slaughtered them but there was no movement to the counter indicating these weren't the targets that we were looking for.
Moving forward the area began to shift, it still kept its light and outwardly fluffy appearance, but a sign of a battle taking place began to appear around the area.
The ground was brutally marked and marred in some areas as if something had transpired. Soon we came upon what appeared to be a castle, it had appeared without any rhyme or reason. It was in the middle of an open area.
Before I could see it, I could hear the sounds of a battle. I had Royal slow and we approached the sound of fighting at a slower pace.
As we moved forward, the view of a person comes into view. They've got a spear in their hand and their clothes were torn and bloodied. A dark look was etched into their face. I couldn't tell if they were male or female, they're features were to androgens.
However, they fought with the viciousness of a caged animal, as if their life depended on that moment. It looked like it did to because I could count nine clowns that surrounded them, each of the clowns looked quite vicious as well.
The red vivacious liquid cut clear paths down their face and dripped onto their clothes. In their hands were ghastly weapons that looked old and rotten, but when they came into contact with the player's weapon they didn't break.
Meaning even though they looked nasty and dirty, almost rusted, they were still strong enough to withstand blow after blow.
At the moment, I was torn between two choices, I could rush forward and try and save the other player. Yet there were only nine clowns and eleven were left, which meant that two others could be lying in wait to ambush. Or that they weren't around and that even if we killed these nine, there would be two others.
Or, I didn't make any move and watched the situation from here. Although I still had to worry about the other set of clowns that would come after the timer hit zero, I'm assuming they'd come from the castle.
Even though, I'd moved forward the player was away and way and even closer to the castle. It was almost like the nine clowns were pressuring the player closer and closer to the castle…
"Don't tell me this is a trap…" I muttered to myself.
Without any more time to hesitate, I decided that I should help the other player.
That might be the only help I would have facing the coming storm!
Not wasting a moment, I urge Royal forward towards the other player and group of nine other clowns. The player was slowly weakening from the repeated blows from nine adversaries. It was like watching a small tree being thrown about by a raging storm.
Royal surges forwards towards the other player that is getting weaker and weaker by the second. It didn't look good for them at all.
