Back to Cultivation

An Cheng and the two girls took what they got and left. They had to go prepare for the dungeon. They walked out of the manor and walked down a couple streets together until they got onto a street that An Cheng and Lucy walked left and White Lotus walked right. When they noticed they were going different ways they An Cheng and White Lotus looked at each other for a little while, they seemed to share a message across their eyes, they nodded and went on their own paths. Lucy who was watching this was completely confused, what happened?

An Cheng did not explain and just held Lucy's hand as they walked back to their cave in silence. When An Cheng and Lucy got back to the cave An Cheng told her to train, there was something big that was happening two weeks from now. That was what she got, she had a feeling that whatever message An Cheng and White Lotus shared was related to that 'Big Thing' An Cheng told her about. Lucy sat down a began cultivating, her cultivation may be sealed but cultivation still helps.

An Cheng also began cultivation next to her, if he was going to get something out of that 'dungeon' he needed to be stronger, there also might be some 'NPCs' that might come too, the 'NPCs' were quite stronger than the players so he had to worry about them the most, mostly the mayor.

The two began cultivation and the qi swirled all around them, bright red and black with colors flashing in and out of it, as two vortexes swirled around An Cheng and Lucy it began to mix. Lucy noticed that her cultivation was rising much, much faster and her lifeforce was healing a little too. She wanted to think of why this was happening but this was possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity so she quickly absorbed all of the surrounding qi she could.

As for An Cheng, he hardly noticed a difference, there was just some extra fire qi in it, nothing worth mentioning. He just continued on his merry way.

They stayed like that for 10 days. Lucy's cultivation at that time skyrocketed, her cultivation went up to Soul Refining stage 8 with her suppressed cultivation, if it was not suppressed it would she would have been near Dao King. She was truly happy about her new cultivation, she went to show off to An Cheng, however, Lucy just stood there dumbfounded, she had cultivated with him before and just thought he was decently quick at cultivation. However when she saw that he was at stage one of Dao Recognition she figured that she was really wrong, he was a heaven-sent genius.

"What are you standing there for? Oh... your cultivation improved really fast." An Cheng praised her not knowing what she was thinking. Lucy had a tinge of red on her face, 'your the one saying I'm fast?' However, she just accepted it with a happy smile and praised him back.

"You cultivated faster than me." She said honestly.

"Ohh, this? Nothing much." An Cheng said back with a face that practically said 'nothing much'. When Lucy heard that she wanted to strangle him so much, 'if that was nothing much how much is much?'

An Cheng saw her face and had a guess of what she was thinking, he just rubbed her head with a chuckle and went off to practice his new sword style leaving behind the pouting Lucy.

An Cheng did not solely focus on cultivation the whole time, that was why he said nothing much. He wanted to find new styles of swordplay, having his Slaughter Sword Technique was good, but it was not good for groups of people, the reason why was that he did not have to fight groups of people back then.

An Cheng's new style did not actually slice people with the sword, he wanted to vibrate the sword so fast that the air around it would vibrate along with it. He would then gather his qi around the air to move it along the sword to the tip, then he would slash and release his qi that was holding the vibrating air a little bit at a time. That would result in him releasing thin pieces of air that were going very fast and vibrating, if it hit somebody it would rupture their inner organs or even slice them in half if they were not careful. An Cheng could also thrust the ball of vibrating air at the tip of the sword at something, it could probably do some major damage to large monsters.

The part that An Cheng liked the most was that the air was invisible, he could catch people off guard and they could not dodge what they could not see. However, they could dodge what they could sense with their qi around them but it would be too late by then. This technique also works perfectly with his Slaughter Sword Technique, he designed it to be as such.

When An Cheng began practicing the technique the sword vibrated so fast that it almost jumped out of his hand. The second time it was a little better, he could still somewhat hold it firmly with his hand, but when he tried to gather his qi around the air he found that the area was too large. He had to vibrate the air fast to reach the desired effect but if he did that the area would be too large. He was stuck at an impasse where he could not go back or forward and that was just the beginning.
