Chapter 4 - Reunion With Old Friends

School went by steadily afterwards, which relieved Luo Sheng. As the bell ranged after the last class, students poured out of the classrooms and out the school. Students went to after school clubs, went to eat at certain stores, played sports, or had a ride home. Just as Luo Sheng was about to exit the school's front gate, Jasper Wang walked over and came to a stop in front of her.

"Xiao YanZi, since we just met after not seeing each other for some years why not have a little get together?" He asked, "I know a good restaurant."

"Just us?" Luo Sheng turned to look at Jasper with raised eyebrows.

"I invited BingCha and XuKe," Jasper added, mentioning their friends from elementary school. "Plus, I already told your parents."

"Ok," Luo Sheng agreed. "I haven't talked to BingCha for a while."

Jasper grinned and lead her to a black car that's pulled to the side. He opened the door and let Luo Sheng in. Sitting in the driver's seat, Jasper's attendant, Xu CaiKun looked at Luo Sheng with a gaze of recognition.

"You're Luo Xiao Jie (Xiao Jie=Miss), right?" He asked, "I remember you from when you used to come over to play during your elementary years."

"That's right," Luo Sheng replied. "I'm glad you still remember Xu Shu Shu (Shu=Uncle)."

"Of course, Luo Xiao Jie," Xu CaiKun replied. "Young Master is very fond of you."

That was when a sharp cough interrupted their conversation. After that the car was silent the rest of the way. Twenty minutes later, the car finally arrived in front of a fancy five star restaurant. Jasper and Luo Sheng got out of the car and walked inside.

From Jasper's social status, they were welcomed in a flamboyant fashion as the workers were all trying to please him. They were lead to a private room with a large rotatable table and a HD TV that hung on the wall to the south of the room. The pair found their friends, Nian BingCha and Yang XuKe waiting for them.

Seeing Luo Sheng, BingCha ran at her and give her a big hug. "Luo Sheng, you're here!" She said, cheerfully. "Long time no see!"

While the two best friends conversed, Yang XuKe walked towards Jasper and grinned. "Chen, I see you came with Luo Luo," XuKe said with a grin. "You had always had a crush on her."

"Shut up," Jasper said, glaring at his best friend.

XuKe put his hands up and walked over the tables. "Alright, let's order," he said sitting down as the girls walked over. Jasper snorted and sat next to Luo Sheng while BingCha sat next to XuKe. They ordered a lot of dishes while they chatted with another.

Almost half an hour later after they ordered their dishes, the waiters and waitresses came in with their food. There was things like the Phoenix's Claw, Rice Cake, Lobster, and many more. All of which is Luo Sheng's favorite. While the girls ordered many, the guys didn't show much interest.

XuKe grinned strangely at Jasper and spoke to Luo Sheng. "Luo Luo, during elementary you and Chen were pretty close," he said. "Back then you two always seems to be together."

Luo Sheng frowned at XuKe. "What are you talking about, XuKe?" She said, "the relationship was more like arguing most of the time as I remembered it."

BingCha also looked at XuKe in skepticism. "Yeah Xuku, what are you playing at?"

"Nothing, just saying," he said. "Just wondering if you two stayed in contact."

"No, why would we?" Luo Sheng said. "I didn't even know he decided to call himself Jasper."

"True."

After that, no one spoke for a while as everyone were focused on the food.
