Green Fire Elixir Fruit

After awhile, his food came. He happily ate it, and headed back to the portal to GW.

He arrived in about 2 hours, and entered GW. He then went to get supplies for a "field trip". He also bought another 800 Inventory Slots, because he had the money, he would need it in the future anyway. It did cost quite a lot, but it would help him in future quests. And it would be of use in situations like his former killing of thousands of [Skeleton].

His field trip was going to the Fruitless Forest that surrounded Dener town. He departed, and went down south.

The Fruitless Forest was a magnificent forest, that went all around Dener town. It was almost 26 km x 19 km in an oval shape. Most people thought that it was called "fruitless", because of the lack of fruits. In fact, there was only one kind of fruit in the forest. The fruit was the Green Fire Elixir Fruit. It was used in the making of, well, Green Fire Elixir.

Green Fire was a variant type mana, of Fire mana. It was a "nature" type fire. That meant that it had healing properties, if it was pure and if it was strong enough, it could even have regenerative properties.

And although this fruit was good for extraction, it still wasn't as pure in the Fruitless Forest. That was because.

Firstly, the Green Fire Elixir Fruit would (usually) grow near volcanically active areas, which Dener town wasn't. That was even show trough the monsters present, [Skeleton], and not something like [Lava Hound], [Fire Imp], or [Fire Elemental] that were supposed to be here.

Secondly, the tree that produced the fruits, needed all types of different fruits to grow around itself, so that it could "absorb" their life force. And it only absorbed fruits, nothing else. The citizens have tried planting some different fruits so that it could sustain itself better, and they were still doing it, but it was not enough.

Thirdly, the Fruitless Forest was way too small to sustain them. It was around 450 km², without Dener town and the fields, which was a "fairly" small forest, compered to the literal whole Sol (Earth's former sun; surface area = 6 090 000 000 000 km²) sized planets, that were nothing but one giant, massive, huge, and enormous forest.

Fourthly, the forest was surrounded by high mountains, so it didn't get much sunlight to nurture the forest, and keep the fruits warm.

Fifthly, nobody thought that it was worth it to help Dener become a "Green Fire Elixir Fruit paradise". Basically, they didn't want to nurture it. The fruits were rare, but not enough rare to make the "big shots" look at them, and notice them. They could try making "adjustments" to the terrain, but the results would show only in a hundred years, because the trees would use nutrients from exactly 100 years ago. And it was too costly for a meager town to either cut the mountain in a tenth of its size, elevate the valley by god knows how much dirt (probably some cubic acres), or something even more ridiculous. The least costly solution was to buy a multiple farms worth of Glow Stone, to have more natural light and heat for the trees. But it would still cost at least a few Amethyst Coins. And even one AC (Amethyst Coin) is equivalent to 1000 Platinum Coins, which are each 100 GC. That's the least costly solution!

...

As Roy headed south, he came across a few [Skeleton]. These were, of course, stronger than the common ones formerly surrounding the town. Some were almost as strong as the uncommon ones, but most were still a way from it. There were also a few uncommon [Skeleton], that were stronger than the ones surrounding Dener, but they were still weaker than Roy.

Roy was currently level 11, so he had a base attributes multiplier of 2048 times. With all of his titles, he had some boosts to his base attributes, so that made him "a little" stronger than he would normally be at his level. His strength attribute was at a little over 10k (because his base strength is 5). So he was stronger than someone at level 13. His other attributes were (base): VIT 1, DEF 4, AGI 2, INT 5, and WIS 5. Having strength 10k, he was 10 000 times stronger than a normal human. This was one of the amazing parts of GW that it had to offer.

Having STR over 10k, he unlocked a special milestone skill. Because his INT and WIS were also that high, he unlocked the corresponding skills. He now also remembered that he unlocked something at the start of his fight with [Skeleton]. So he decided to check all of these things out.

[Unlocked - Level 10, INT 1000:

Mana Sensitivity]

[Unlocked - Level 10, WIS 1000:

Mana Reserves]

[Unlocked - STR 10 000:

Skill - Abnormal Strength (active)]

[Unlocked - INT 10 000:

Skill - Abnormal Intelligence (passive)]

[Unlocked - WIS 10 000:

Skill - Abnormal Wisdom (passive)]

"Oh. The first two were just for getting 1000 in INT, and WIS. But because I wasn't level 10, I ques that I didn't fully unlock it. And because of all those titles I got, I've reached 10 000 in some attributes, before other people. So I've basically got 5 times greater strength than others my level." But that didn't mean that others wouldn't get different titles later on, that also increased base attributes. It was just extremely rare to have higher base attributes at such a low level.

He then checked the skills he got.

[Abnormal Strength (active):

Increase damage dealt by 5% for the next 3 attacks.

Cooldown - 10 minutes]

[Abnormal Intelligence (passive):

Get a boost in all aspects of memory, learning, analyzing, and instincts.]

[Abnormal Wisdom (passive):

Become wiser.]

"Ok. Another increase in damage, and brain power. It always helps." He said happily. He continued moving forward, towards the Green Fire Fruit trees.

He arrived quickly, and started looking around. He found a majestic live green colored tree, in the middle of all others. It had dark green fruits, with little thick "thorns" sticking out of them. They really couldn't hurt you, and the only reason they might have had that, was so that people could have a better grip on them. The fruits had a nice sweet, and kinda warm, smell. They were shaped like little hearts, that could be eaten in one bite. The leaves were gorgeous as well. They were big. Almost 20 cm across, and had some bulges shaped like poker dots on them. These hold some nutrients as well, and could be eaten as a scrumptious salad. The bark of the tree was ridged, and a mixture of dark green and dark brown. The tree stood at around 10 m tall, which was unusually high for those hard conditions. Most other trees surrounding it were only 5 - 8 m tall. It was truly majestic.

This Green Fire Fruit tree was standing on a little hill, alone. Everything else was under it. It looked like a mighty guardian, protecting its people. There were only rose red, and icy blue flowers blooming on that little hill. The flowers that still haven't bloomed yet, looked a little like baby seedlings of that mighty tree. With the enormous mountains standing behind it, with their snowy peaks, and one small, red sun above it, and another giant white sun diagonal of it, it seemed like it was standing there for ages. And indeed it was. It was planted there by Zack. But the people didn't need to know that.

Roy looked at this majestic tree, as a sun flair came from the small red sun. He just wanted to be able to stand here all day, and look at it, he was fascinated.

The leaves, and fruits, bark, and roots, everything from these trees was edible. And healthy too. But people normally just picked the fruits. It was the main attraction of Dener town. They would export it for a good price, or use it to nurture some of its residents. If they wanted Fire mana of course. But because they weren't that pure, it wasn't really of that much help, 1 / 5 purity at most. But it was better than nothing, and Green Fire was a variant type mana, that had healing and regenerative properties, so they still used them. And while the fruits had the Green Fire mana, the leaves were important too. They could be used in potions, to wear of sleepiness, or to sustain people with nutrients. The bark was something like a snack. It was crunchy, and had a chips (potato chips) kind of taste. But it was healthy. The roots were used to make nutritious humus, or salad, with the leaves, and sometimes fruits. But because those were all important parts of the tree, for it to live, they didn't take them or sell them.

Roy then sat under the tree, and started absorbing the Green Fire mana. But variants, and different stages of mana worked a little different than normal stage 1 mana. For example, if you had 100% Water type mana, it could be further divided, into something like this:

Mana is 100% (type) Water - 30% (normal) Water, 30% Ice, 30% Snow, 10% Sea. Sea is stage 2 Water type mana, and is also part of this division of stage 1 mana.

That way, he was just replacing a portion of normal Fire mana, with Green Fire mana. If he could have all types of all stages of secondary mana, and the variants, he would be much more powerful than almost everyone his level.

But there was another thing he must consider. And that was this, the more different types of mana you had, the harder it would be to maintain that balance. Also, if your body couldn't handle it, it would corrupt. Then the mana in your body would become chaotic, and you would turn into a demon, or even a normal lowly monster, sometimes without any consciousness, or mind. There was also the problem, that, you had to maintain the literal pillars of your mana. That was basically your soul's foundation. Once you would become level 10, mana would be "unlocked" for you. It was inside your bodily reserves, and acted like a "spiritual liquid". You would have to condense, purify, and build it into the shape of your soul. There were many stages to this. You could build a body for your soul, a sort of "castle" or residence out of your inner mana, make a network that connected parts of your body, make literal pillars that would hold your soul, etc. These were all different variations of your built / condensed inner mana, that would define your soul, and your future path.
