Two Disciples

Leo's golden eyes shone bright as he observed with interest his two disciples fighting each other. No movement could escape his all encompassing gaze. From a falling leaf miles away to even the subtlest movement about to occur, it was as if he could see the threads of the future with his very eyes.

Leo, as a beast himself, had now two disciples. It wasn't his first time as a teacher actually, as he had partake into giving lessons in the Celestial Star Sect for hundreds years. Yet, just like his master, he had never taken a true disciple before, just a few followers but after they-

Leo shook his head to avoid the old memories from filling up his mind and focused back at the fight in front of him.

They were currently at the back of the white castle where an arena had been built. Huge walls covered miles of a town that had only three residents: a red haired man, a red maned lion and a wolf with silver furs. The arena, made out in the open, was spacious and the floor, unlike the typical dirt, was made of dark wood resembling the old traditional japanese dojos.

*CRASH!*

The sound of breaking glass resounded through the arena, resulting from an ice dart shattering into the stone wall. Chiyo-Saja had just avoided a long ranged attack from the silver furred wolf

His two disciples paced back and forth in a standstill. A lion towering two meters in height faced a newborn silver wolf that had half of his size. Even from the prospects of "mutated animals" they could not be considered normal because the two were inheritors of strong bloodline, a much-diluted heritage, from the primordial world that an unknown god tried to create. As a result of that, they were stronger than those of the same level and learned things that others couldn't.

Mutated Animals; Beast; Demonic Beasts - or whatever word people were using to refer to those new beings - learned how to fight and utilize Qi based on instinct, unlike humans. Even so, Leo was still able to teach them a thing or two as they developed their intelligence.

The wolf paced carefully, never taking its blue eyes off its prey, looking for an opening, it knew it was at a disadvantage against its senior. However the standoff didn't last much longer.

Suddenly, Chiyo-Saja, the lion, lost his patience and opened its mouth wide. From within his mouth burning hot flames emerged and hushed towards the little wolf. The wolf was fast to react and immediately patted its front paws on the wooden ground, as a result a barrier of ice formed in front of him to block the flames. Unfortunately, the wolf was weaker than its senior and the icewall started to melt the moment it came in contact with the hot flames.

Any man with knowledge towards cultivation would be scared shitless by that sight! Not only for the fact that a lion was spitting fire, flames so hot that could burn a man in seconds, but because the Lion had the strength equivalent of that as one cultivator at the Sixth Stage of Body Tempering! Furthermore, the wolf, of only one month old, already had the strength comparable to the Fourth Stage!

"Don't open your mouth so much!" Leo said harshly pointing at the Lion "The flames won't hurt your tongue! When you do so your junior can predict what you are trying to do and easily avoid your attack!"

Soon the ice melted and the flames engulfed the place where the wolf should be. However, before Chiyo-Saja could celebrate, his junior was already on his left side! The wolf had used the ice wall as a cover and changed positions when the lion was distracted!

The smaller beast ran towards the lion, aiming to bite its neck! Unfortunately, as the Lion was stronger it was able to react in the nick of time and deflected the wolf with his right paw.

"Good, good…"Leo complied, but his tone and his face showed otherwise. "If she was at the same strength as you, you'd be dead right now Chiyo…"

"Grrraw…" The Lion grumbled and lowered his head, dejected. His once majestic presence fading slightly as he felt bad for disappointing his master. The strongest and fiercest lion in the history of Earth was now bowing to a man. "Graw graww…"

"I know, I know." Leo waved his hand to reassure Chiyo. "You'll get the hang of it soon…"

In fact, it couldn't be helped. Even though both his disciples had strong bloodlines, Chiyo lived most part of his life on a normal Earth and was still getting accustomed to the idea of fighting using his abilities and Qi. The silver wolf, on the other hand, was born and raised in this new world.

Anyway, Leo couldn't deny that they were really evolving fast. Nothing too spectacular, he was from the Celestial Star Sect where geniuses were endless after all, but his disciples had a talent that could be considered beyond the scope of this world.

[Though there are some talented humans here too.] He had been keeping an eye on a few humans just in case his master wanted to know later. [But now I have disciples, and my responsibilities to them are not just those of a teacher ... Which reminds me, I didn't give the small wolf a name!]

Leo walked over his second disciple and with a simple motion, grabbed the wolf by its collar. Unlike the first day as the wolf looked at him with fear, now there was awe and respect in those small blue eyes.

"From this day onwards you'll be called Bellator, which in my culture means the warrior, or Bella as you are a female…" He started, but was soon interrupted by a bark of happiness from the wolf. Bella, her tail wagged in happiness and opened her mouth showing her white fangs in a smile. She was still a puppy after all.

"Cutie…" Leo patted her head.

The silver wolf looked at him with happiness, in her simple wolf's mind, it meant that she was finally recognized as a disciple. It never occurred to her that Leo forgot to give her a name, Bella just thought she wasn't qualified enough yet.

While Bella was jumping up and down happily and promising to dedicate herself even more to becoming a strong warrior as her name implied, Leo was lost in thoughts.

At the same time he watched his disciples, he kept a look over the world with his divine sense. It had been one month now and the Earth was looking more and more like a benninger cultivation world, unranked yet, but coming closer and closer towards Tier 1. Unfortunately, Leo realized how the earthlings were taking the cultivation too lightly, unaware of its importance.

Furthermore, the general public knew little about what was happening around the world. Mainly due to the control of governments over this type of information.

In a sense, the world was too peaceful right now! Even with the chaotic atmosphere created from the arrival of Qi, the forest and the cultivation book, most had no reason to try it. For people to get stronger they needed motivation, and what better catalyst than fear of death or a strong villain?

That was one of the reasons he had not killed Niyanyu, however the fish's plans would take a longer time. What he needed right now was an immediate threat! Something that could put the whole world into motion, a thing that the governments wouldn't be able to hide.

It was time to make things a little more interesting. To show the world a glimpse of the power a cultivator could achieve. True power. After deciding his next step, he immediately took action.

Leo raised his right hand and suddenly an immense amount of Qi condensed in his finger. The Qi became visible to the naked eye and it was not pure white as normal, it had tinges of black and purple. His two disciples looked at him in admiration and eyed the Qi with eagerness. The Qi was so dense that it would be able to improve their cultivation by leaps and bounds!

"Don't even ask, that's not for you…" Leo smiled and shook his head.

*Whoosh~*

*Whoosh~*

*Whoosh~*

With a wave of his index finger, dozens of Qi treads flashed, in less than a second they spread all over the world.

The Qi treads flew fast, unnoticed by many men, and soon reached their goal.
