CHAPTER-6 DETERMINATION

Fairy suddenly asked "Show me your unique skill. I need to check whether the inheritance is compatible with you".

Fin heard about unique skills when the organizer of the test told everyone that the third test would be testing ones unique test .He didn't bother to ask what it was because he knew he would eventually find out when he went to the third test. Now Fairy was asking the same thing ,he asked his thought loudly "Is it possible that every one has a unique skill?".

Fairy didn't know whether to laugh or cry .She thought she had finally found a candidate for the inheritance but he was not even aware of his unique skill. She waved her staff and there appeared a round transparent globe shaped crystal. She told him to place his hand on it .

Fin hesitated for a moment .He understood that a unique skill were meant to be kept as a secret .If Fairy had any evil thought he would be doomed .

Fairy guessed what he was thinking and said "Don't worry I have no reason to harm you ,If I wanted to harm you ,you would be dead by now". Fin understood Fairy had magical power and that to powerful one .He had no choice anyhow after choosing the path so, he decided to see it through .

He placed his hands on the transparent crystal and suddenly it started to shine with brightness. Fairy had closed her eyes and was busy chanting something . After a minute she opened her eyes and at the same time the crystal in her hand turned normal and disappeared .

She looked at him with curiosity for the first time .Earlier she was excited because she found someone to talk to but this time it was due to his talent.

She told with a serious tone "You are not half bad for having dual skills which is only found in one in million .Maybe its a fate that you are destined for this inheritance .My master also had dual skills .Your compatibility is close to 100 % which is not possible unless you are fated ."

Fin also found it surprising .He didn't care much about destiny .He believed that 'one could create their own destiny through hard work'. He asked excitedly "What are my unique skills?"

Fairy didn't find his attitude strange because everyone would be excited for the first time . She told casually "One is invisibility and the other is beast language".

Fin understood the first one but didn't understand the second one .He looked at the Fairy with expectation .Fairy knew he had no idea .

She started explaining "There are 3 class of skills .Tier 3 skill is fairly common like super human speed , super human strength etc .Your superman ,batman have tier 3 skills.

Tier 2 skills are very hard to find like fire element ,water element, etc .If a country found out that one had tier 2 skill ,he would be immediately given the title of prince and would nurture him with all their resources .

Tier one skills are like the feather of Phoenix ,rarely appear once in a millennium .Your invisibility is a tier one skill and the beast language is a tier 2 skill ."

Fin finding all these new information strange .It seemed like he had opened brand new path to explore .He was happy that he got a tier one skill but was afraid at the same time.He asked immediately "Fairy is it possible to hide one's skill?". He understood immediately that if someone found out about his skill he would be either killed or taken as lab rat for an experiment .

Fairy laughed at his predicament , "Normally one can't because everyone knows ,whoever it might be they would have at least one skill. Since you have dual skills it is possible to hide one and show the other . If you showed your tier 2 skill it won't be a problem at all and for your information, no one would tell you how to hide a skill because it is a top secret information in your world .But being the princess of the Fairy land I can grant you this information as my first meeting gift with you".She puffed her chest and said proudly .

Fin became relaxed after hearing her ,at least he didn't need to worry about someone finding out .Humans always wished for the best things but when they got the best they would be afraid that someone would snatch it away the very next moment which puts them on toes. Fin's anxiety was normal for any human being .

Fairy started chanted something and placed her small staff on his forehead while Fin closed his eyes like a reflex and got some information rushing into his consciousness. Fin realized this was the information regarding hiding a skill.

One would not be able to tell what ones unique skill just by looking at a person but Fin knew in the upcoming test elders would compel everyone to show their skills and record the information. Now he could use this knowledge to hide his tier 1 skill during the test.

Fin asked curiously "Fairy what is your unique skill ? I know its your secret but if its not possible you don't have to tell me ".

Fairy laughed and said with a smug expression "I am not afraid of anyone ,I am not visible to anyone except those of other Fairies and those I want them to see me .All Fairies have 2 skills,one is common skill that is invisibility and the other is magic . Being the princess I have one more skill ,which I am not going to tell you ."

Fin got dumbfounded and thought ' it was already rare to get 2 skills but she had 3 skills ! What does she mean by common skill like invisibility ? If it is common to them then what about the magic skill and other skill she chose to hide , are their even higher tier skills than tier one skills ?'

Fairy guessed what he was thinking and told "If you can get the inheritance you could also get water element skill and don't worry about tiers of skills now .You will understand one day everything .Now lets head off to the inheritance."

Fin became stunned .He could get water element skill too! His mood improved dramatically.

The duo traveled for a while and stopped near a cave .Fairy told him to enter .When Fin entered the unknown shrine he was stunned for a moment .There was no light but there was so many fireflies with so many colours which illuminated the place .It was an incredible sight . Fairy flew like its her home .Fin followed her closely .

There were many old trees which looked like they stood for centuries .He could hear water flowing on the walls of the cave and smell fragrance coming from the lush greenery which made him dizzy . He thought he was walking in heaven . Fairy stopped all of a sudden which interrupted his thoughts .

Fairy told with a serious expression "You need to travel alone from now on .Your task is to find a golden ring".

Fin was puzzled and asked " So if I find the ring I will become immortal?"

Fairy got irritated "Do you think becoming an immortal is like finding a lost coin on the road. First you bring me the ring then I will tell you .If you are unable to even do that. Then there is no point moreover I will have to kill you to erase all the evidence .So take this seriously and give your best".

Fin became serious and nervous at the same time .He had chosen this path with high risk and now there was no going back .Whether he dies or lives depends on this task. He could tell that even if he screamed for help nothing would happen .Fairy's magical power could kill him the moment he tried to escape.

Fairy knew what was going on his mind and told sternly "Here no one will come to your rescue .This place is sealed from the outside .So give up all ideas of escaping ."

Fin was not going to give up even if had a chance to escape. He knew it was the chance of a life time . If he missed it he would regret it till the rest of his life. He asked instead "What is exactly inheritance?"

Fairy told coldly "First you get me the ring otherwise there is no point in me telling to a kid who is who is going to die".

Without anymore nonsense he quickly left Fairy . Fairy stood there and thought 'At least he has some determination ,I really don't want to kill him ,lets see what he can do'.
