Lord Yoru (4)

"What happened?" Kavira was really shocked to find Nyla, Clain and Dalton on the floor while Lucas was sleeping soundly on the bar counter top. Brenda was afraid that Kavira would blame her for their bad behavior, she should have stopped them when she had the chance but they were all adults it really shouldn't be up to her to do such parental things.

"They drank more than they could handle and ended up passed out." Kavira normally wouldn't mind that people were enjoying themselves but this was out in the open, they were in public and they couldn't just display their power like it was nobodies business. Brenda felt a little guilty. "I should've told them to stop."

"It's alright, don't blame yourself. They're grown adults." Linx had Kavira's same grim expression. They discussed the best way to take all four back to the castle without causing a scene among the crowd roaming the market. It was a couple of minutes past midnight by the time they settled all four into the men's room to sleep.

"I guess we won't be able to get the cane tonight." Kavira was extremely bummed out. All this time wasted, it had been a good while since she's seen the General or Ms. Folly, she missed them. She sighed and slumped her body onto the bed next to Linx leaning into his arms. Brenda watched the scene in front of her, it was good to see this girl enjoy herself from time to time, she definitely stresses herself with matters that are too much for one person to bare.

"You two go ahead and sleep here. I'll use a spare room." Brenda felt intrusive, they hardly had any alone time and since the rest couldn't bother them she felt she should make her way out.

"It's fine, stay." Kavira was a bit nervous to be alone with Linx. They had never had an occasion where it was just them two, she began to think indecent thoughts and completely turned red. Linx was a little sad that she would say that but after seeing her red face he couldn't help but think she was too adorable.

"Nonsense, I'll go sleep in another room. You too enjoy yourself." Brenda winked before closing the door behind her and leaving these two on a single bed.

"These idiots got themselves really drunk. I told you to go easy, now he went back to the castle." Prince Jacob was out in a dark alley speaking to the woman with pitch black eyes that was covered in warm garments. "I need to take that Dragon Elder compass."

"Relax. You told me to take care of this and I will." The woman took a hold of the prince's face and brought him in for a kiss. "There was a reason I let them drink tonight, he was surrounded by too many in the group but I did lace his drink with thoughts of me. He'll come looking for me tomorrow."

Prince Jacob was really please to hear her confident words. "You never seem to surprise me." The prince lowered his pants just a little to pull his friend out. The woman fell to her knees taking his friend into her mouth. "Katia, make sure that by tomorrow he is head over heals for you. It will be the only way."

"So Jacob was planning to take the Dragon Elder compass for himself..." Lord Yoru listened to the tiny flame squeak. "Having Katia sure is an advantage but she's just a fake, take away those books and she is nothing, no one."

Katia was a known sorceress in the underworld. She didn't have magic of her own but everyone knew that she had spell filled books that helped obtain what she wanted. Fortunately for her, the books didn't require the person making the spell to have any magical power just the ability to read.

"What about the girl. Were you able to find out anything of this girl with the dragon mark?" Lord Yoru had always relied on his magical cane to be there when he couldn't but this time it had failed. "I see, she wields a magical aura that you cannot enter."

Prince Jacob was right, Lord Yoru and his cane would not be strong enough to defeat Kavira. Now he had to determine what to do with this information, enact his revenge on Nyla and Datlon or pledge himself to the girl's cause. Either way he's lost before the fight had even begun, it angered him deeply.

"Bring me the man that holds a connection with her, only then will a be able to decide what to do."
