The Accord (5)

"You did what!!!?" Prince Jacob couldn't worm himself out of the situation he created, he needed to tell his father about all the events that occurred. His father did tell him that she was important to not anger but Prince Jacob was too vicious, he's always dreamed of having power and now he failed.

"I told you not to do anything to threaten the girl!" King Adonis raised his hand and was about to slap Jacob when Adam rose from his seat to stop his fathers hand.

"That's enough father." He wasn't happy with Jacob either, they had grown up together but never would he have though that Jacob would betray his father and this city is such a way. He was still protective over his brother, it is probably the reason why he stopped his father from completing his anger. "We'll deal with him after. Right now we have to think of a way to amend the situation. If they leave in this fashion then we are good as gone."

King Adonis wasn't willing to forget his anger but he did suppress it because Adam was right. "We will make an accord with her. If at any point she is to need the warriors of Keero, they will be at her service until she returns them."

"But father, that would leave us open.. Cities would come to destroy us." Prince Jacob wasn't happy with his fathers words, surely his mistake hasn't cost them this much.

"What do you think you did Jacob?" Adam wanted to punch his brother so badly. After Kavira left from her meeting with the talking crystal, his father took him to the crystal and among the two they gave some incite to Adam as to why keeping Kavira happy in this city was important. "You would have destroyed us. Father's idea of this accord is probably the only way to redeem ourselves and save our city."

Prince Jacob had no idea that real magic wielders were this strong, they had been extinct for thousands of years. His greed almost cost him his life, his city and his family. "I will apologize as well, I am sorry father."

King Adonis looked over his two sons, it wasn't their fault that the girls destiny was already foretold to destroy this city, the only thing left for him to do was to prevent it. He nodded accepting Jacob's sign for redemption. "I'll have the scholar's draw up the accord and we will meet up with her together."

Knock. Knock. The Butler entered the King's study and saw that King Adonis was accompanied by his sons. He closed the door behind him and quickly bowed. "Your Highness, the girl named Kavira has requested an audience with you."

King Adonis acknowledge her request. "Inform her that this afternoon we shall meet in the guest lounge. Her and her group are welcome."

"The butler came back and told me that the King will meet me in the afternoon at the guest lounge." Kavira sat down next to Linx, everyone had piled in to discuss in the girls room. No one was particularly happy with talking to King Adonis after they had heard of Prince Jacob's hand in Clain's illness. Linx specifically had been a little on edge after Dalton described that the reason Clain hadn't been so affected was due to his connection with Kavira.

She did save him long ago but what kind of connection could it be if they were still bound together even now. "What do you think is going to happen?" Lucas was leaning against the wall to the left, he wasn't worried about the King's request. He was focused on Lord Yoru's note about going out into the outer rim to the north. He and his mother lived in the outer rim to the east, not a grand or a survivable environment, his worries were understandable but Kavira was determined to search for Lord Yoru. She believed that he had some information she could need.

"I don't know." Kavira pulled out the notes from her personal pouch that Lucas had lent to her. She wasn't interested in having a conversation and every one decided on having side conversations instead. The golden cane was described as a fire weapon that was a passed down from one Grocan High Elder to the other upon death, its name is Ignis Ferula.

Kavira continued to scroll through the pages hoping to find anything on the broken diadem she had collected from the shop but the pages held no information.
