Through the Door (3)

Kavira awoke in Clain's arms, it had been a long time waiting for them both. She ogled over his features, such a beautiful man. Linx was also incredibly handsome but there was something about Clain that always drew her in. She was happy to finally be with him, not that she didn't like Linx but after some time she realized that they weren't meant to be together.

Kavira spent quite some time waiting for Clain to wake up, he had been working hard on controlling his magic and keeping up with his fighting that he was quite exhausted. "Morning." Clain pulled Kavira further into his body and kissed her soft lips. "Were you awake for long?

"Not too long, but I do believe that everyone else is awake. I've been smelling the food for a while. You hungry?" Kavira's emerald eyes never left Clain's honey colored eyes, it was like they were stuck in a trance.

"Are you hungry?" Just as he spoke Kavira's stomach grumbled and Clain laughed out loud hoping to put a fresh set of clothes before picking Kavira up in his arms and taking her out to grab some food.

They were completely cheerful that they didn't notice the quiet and calm environment around the rest of the group until they weren't greeted with warm smiles. "What's wrong?" Clain glanced over at Dalton and no one said anything. Clain turned around to face Leena, gently setting Kavira down. "Did something happen?"

"In order for us to open the Door of Viaje... we need to sacrifice something we love. It can't be any little sacrifice, it has to be something worthy enough for the guardian of the door to accept. I have nothing I love. Looking around... not many people are open to make the ultimate sacrifice." Leena shifted her eyes to the floor. There was no other way, if they didn't make a sacrifice there was no going back to the Lost Realm.

Clain and Kavira both looked over at each other before gazing around at the group once again. "So what do we do?"

Nothing. There was silence.

"Does it have to be a blood sacrifice?" Logan asked Dracon.

"I'm not sure. I've never seen a different sacrifice used to open the door." Logan nodded and asked for the bag from him where the stones were. He laid them out in a circle and a portal opened.

"What will be your sacrifice?" A deep mans voice was heard, the same voice Leena heard when she was watching Amira give Izak up.

"I would like to sacrifice my Binsho." Logan was making the ultimate sacrifice of giving up his special magic. Such a useful ability taken so that they can all travel home.

"Very well. You all may pass except one." The entire group furrowed their eyebrows.

"Why not everyone?" Logan's curiosity beat the best of him.

"Because only nine people may travel at the same time. If you wish to pass, those are the rules. Choose one to stay or none shall pass." The deep voice disappeared leaving the group to figure out who they would keep behind.

"I will stay." Leena was the first one to offer, everyone started an outburst. They couldn't allow the strongest among them to stay behind. "It isn't a request. This is my world after all. I know you can all do this, with or without me."

Leena took a few steps back glancing at everyone's distraught face. "It'll be okay, trust me. I have a plan. I just have one request.... Take care of Lucky until I meet back with you all, okay?"

There were so many impatient hearts but Dracon's and Linx's were much angrier than the rest. "Why doesn't this guy just stay?" Linx pointed to Logan. "He isn't one of us... who know what he would really do once we are in the Lost Realm."

Logan smirked. "He is the one making the sacrifice of something he loves Linx. It's okay, trust me. I will make my way to you all." Linx wanted to keep arguing, again she was choosing to do something without discussing it with everyone and before he could say anything more Logan walked through the portal.

Linx really felt defeated. "Leena... I can't lose you again. Please, let us go avenge my death together." Leena's eyes widened. What did he say? Linx held out his hand but his gaze reminded her of Izak's. No one moved an inch. Linx's words were scaring everyone including Dracon. "It's me Leena. Come with me."

Leena grabbed onto her head. "No." She began to shake her head. "This isn't real... this isn't real."

Linx to the front of her and lifted her head up. "It is real." He took the pendant into his hand. "I tried to keep it from you but it was more difficult than I wanted to accept."

"Izak?" Leena asked and Linx nodded. He took her into his embrace letting her tears flow from her eyes onto his chest.

"You have five minutes before the Door of Viaje closes." The deep voice appeared again to give them a time warning.
