THE STARING CONTEST!

(Sorry for not updating. I didn't really think people would actually like my novel tbh. But thanks for reading. I will always try to make my novels better.)

Joji and Annie made their way towards the school ground. It was about 30 meters in breadth and 40 meters in height. As Joji reached the ground he noticed many new people. But the one he took note of was a guy with a big smile and a yellow eyes. He had bulging muscles for a teenager.

" Now get ready. We are shooting targets " The sleepy-eyed teacher said.

No one dared to disobey since he was the teacher of their class. Joji didn't know why they were all willing to trust the guy who said he was the teacher but immediately connected it to the rumors of this school being the safest one in the world.

As all of them started stretching. The ground split open in front of them and mechanized silver robots started jumping out of it.

" Waaaahhhh " Many people were fascinated with them. Even the teacher looked impressed when he saw the robots.

" Ok now, make a line randomly and use your powers just once to shoot the damn robots " the sleepy teacher had returned to his old self immediately.

People wanted to prove themselves so they tried to take the spot at the beginning of the line. Joji took Annie to the very last of the line and kept her on his shoulder, since he knew it would hurt his sister's legs if she stood still for too long.

People used their powers to hit the target. Some hit while some missed. (HiT oR MisS I guEsS tHeY nEver MisS huh?)

There were 16 people in total including him, Annie and Hugo. Hugo was at the front of the line and seemed to have already forgotten about them since he was too excited.

Soon people at the front finished the hitting the targets and Joji's and Annie's turn came.

" Go hit them " Joji encouraged Annie. He didn't know if she had the level of control to hit the moving steel dummies but he decided to believe in her and let her participate since she seemed pretty hyped about it.

Annie went near the white line which was drawn to indicate where to shoot the projectiles from, for the people with shooting type powers.

These were not even explained by the teacher, but the students had figured out what to do after getting hit every time they did something wrong.

As Annie aimed for one of the robots. She fired a beam of fire which precisely hit the targets stomach and it got blasted of into the sky from the destructive force of the fire beam.

" Marvelous " The sleepy homeroom teacher finally opened his mouth.

" Annie go stand there " Joji said.

Joji looked at the machine robots and knew what to do. He went near the robot and stood in front of the red line indicating close combat fighters were supposed to stand there.

He took a martial arts stance and clenched his fists. He punched towards the steel machine when,

BOOM

Everything, including the robot, was decimated and the only thing left was a 10-meter big crater.

The lazy teacher had his mouth open wide. The students were in the same situation. As they were all in a daze, the principle with other pro-people came out shouting what happened.

The principal gave Joji a ferocious glance before calling him to the office.

As Joji entered the office he felt very cold. He looked up towards the desk of the principal and noticed, it was not the principal but a woman who had some resemblance to the principal.

" Who are you? " Joji asked as his body started to shine golden and the room that was cold got incredibly hotter. The wood and the walls started melting and the girl with blue eyes lashes, blue eyes, and a small mouth let out a surprised and terrified shout.

" Stop Stop " The principal came running and when he saw the girl frightened he immediately went towards the girl not caring for the intense heat. Joji immediately retracted the golden aura and the room started to turn chilly again.

The principle caressed the hair of the girl saying my girl, my girl and the girl seemed really annoyed.

" Stop it dad " It seemed like the girl couldn't handle her father treating her like a 2-year-old in front of a handsome man.

The girl pushed the principal's hand away and left the room not without giving Joji a glare, which didn't really bother Joji since she could not do anything to him even if she wanted to.

" Cough, she is my daughter " the principal sat on his desk which was already half melted and looked at Joji with a stern look.

" This is not acceptable, " The principal said.

" Destroying the ground? " Joji asked with an expressionless face.

" No, destroying my table " The principal said with stern eyes as he started at Joji.

Joji didn't say anything and the situation turned awkward. The principle was thinking about what he was doing wrong while Joji was thinking about why the principle of the greatest school was spouting some bullshit.

" Is there anything you need? " Joji asked to which the principal didn't reply and just stared at his eyes.

Joji felt very uncomfortable so he turned around and walked out of the room. Inside the room, the principle was still staring at the empty space when suddenly he broke out of his trance and looked for Joji.

" I shouldn't have done that, sigh " the principal said to himself with a sigh. He had actually thought that Joji was challenging him to a staring contest. He had gotten into staring contests many times so he had developed a secret technique where he would fall asleep without closing his eyes. He thought that he would show the brat who the boss is only to make him seem like an idiot.
