Heartbreak (2)

May was dejected, and her eyes all cried out while following Taf back into the house. There were some personal effects that she wanted to keep. She went through her mother Mary's closet and took a few of her dresses and necklaces.

Then took a wristband her father deemed his favourite before making her way to her grandmother's. She just wanted a piece of clothing to remember her by. But when looking in the closet corner, there was a dress hidden from view. On it was a tag which stated:

To a loving granddaughter.

It was covered in a gold fabric that drew her intrigue. With her curiosity piqued, she placed the dress on her grandma's bed and removed the covering.

May was speechless and teary-eyed; it was a wedding gown. She sat on the bed, simply looking at the dress. It finally dawned on her that none of her loved ones would be at her wedding. There was now a void as she mourned.
