Issue 84: A New Age Part 21

A bolt of lightning rained down on the castle as Thor shouted in rage, "YOU DARE TO ATTACK US! DISGUSTING DARK ELVES!"

It was like Armageddon had arrived, countless bolts of lightning rained down on the ships and foes attempting to invade their land. However, the sheer number of them was staggering.

"Spider-Totems! Defend my home and I shall reward you greatly," Thor shouted as he turned into a blur and exited the throne room.

Peter and MJ suited up and immediately jumped into action.

"MJ, move with Frigga and find Jane. They could be after her because they might think the Aether is still inside her."

"Got it," MJ nodded her head as she looked to the queen and asked, "Care to join me for an outing?"

Frigg pulled out her sword and said, "Lead the way."

They took off in different directions while Peter activated his Power Ruby. He leapt out of the castle and charged into battle where help was needed most. He saw screaming citizens that were powerless against the Dark Elves being hunted down and thwipped into action.

After webbing up the group with his organic webbing, he heard them yelling and struggling to break their bindings. But it was to no avail, they couldn't even stretch the material.

"Good luck with that, you'd need Antarctic Vibranium to melt my webbing," Peter thought as he rushed off to help more people.

"Sleipnir come to me!" Odin shouted as a massive horse with eight legs appeared from a burst of light.

He mounted his horse and flew into battle next to his son.

"Father? What happened to you? You look…young?" Thor asked as he smacked a Dark Elf's head off with his hammer.

"Your... friend brought quite the offering from Midgard," Odin announced as he ran his spear through a spaceship, shattering it into millions of pieces.

"What's happening? He was supposed to be sleeping?" One of the Dark Elves shouted.

"Another thing to be thankful to the Spider for. If not for his visit, I would not have forced myself to enter the All-Sleep earlier. They would have arrived while I was vulnerable, this was planned by someone much greater than the Dark Elves."

Odin smashed through a group of attackers, slaying dozens with every swing or stab made with Gungnir.

The Warriors 3 and Sif were in the middle of fighting off a group of enemies that crowded around them.

"Die!" Volstagg shouted as he swung his mace at a group that knocked over half a dozen Dark Elves.

Fandral cursed in his native tongue as he said, "Damn Dark Elves, they give every one of us a bad name."

"I thought they were extinct," Sif shouted as she cut through multiple opponents.

"Apparently not," Hogun shouted as he shot arrows through the heads of six foes with two draws of his string.

"Don't mind if I drop in, do you?" Peter shouted as he landed on the largest grouping of Dark Elves. His hands turned into blurs as they shot out webbing that tied their foes together or outright disabled them from moving.

"Nice timing!" Volstagg laughed.

"Take them out, Warriors 3!" Sif shouted as she wielded her sword with immense power and speed.

They made quick work of the entangled foes while Peter waved and webbed off while saying, "Move to the west side of Asgard, more of their ships are docking as we speak."

An explosion shook a nearby building that was about to fall on a group of Asgardians. Peter waved his hand and reappeared the building with magic before webbing the ship that shot the lasers. Then, with a single pull, he confiscated the ship by drawing it into his bag of holding. Of course, he made sure to teleport the defeated Dark Elves into his sub-space prison.

"Don't just stand there, run, get to shelter!" Peter shouted at the civilians while he jumped into the air and landed underneath another ship. He then hopped from ship to ship while storing them in his bag and sending the elves to his prison.

Every now and then, he would have to drop down to save people in need. Falling buildings, groupings of Dark Elves attacking survivors, and massive structural destruction to the environment were stopped just as quickly as they occurred.

With the Warriors 3, the Asgardian Army, Odin, and Thor helping, the dozens of thousands of enemies were pushed back to the edges of Asgard, but it was still too slow for Peter's liking.

"Perhaps I can help," Webster called out, getting its host's attention.

"Oooh…yeah, that could work!" Peter slammed his fist into his hand as he dodged a laser that tried to get him from behind.

Without looking, Spider-Man webbed the guy up before saying, "Webster…split and empower everyone you can find!"

Thanks to the absorption of the created Globby, the Symbiote could now split infinitely and join with every Asgardian that they came across.

With Webster turning the civilians into well-equipped warriors that were being guided by a Symbiote equipped with one of the most advanced super computers in existence, the battle not only turned to their favor, but became completely one sided.

Even Thor and Odin agreed to wear the Symbiotes. Though it was mostly out of curiosity. Odin wanted to know what a Symbiote made by humans could do, and Thor was eager to see how much stronger he would be.

"It's like a reverse Symbiote Takeover Arc!" Peter thought to himself.

While the Dark Elf army was being outright slaughtered, MJ helped Frigg take down any that infiltrated the castle and even stopped a group from entering the family vault, which seemed to what they were going after. Jane stayed by their side while all this happened and couldn't help but feel a bit like a liability.

As it turns out, her suspicions weren't unwarranted. There were many times during the scuffle that she was targeted. However, MJ was a damn good guardian and even gave Jane of copy of her Symbiote when things started getting dangerous.

When she was finally able to help, with Spiderling's assistance, Jane was able to fight efficiently and was able to help clear out the Vault.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Spider-Girl," Loki smirked as he walked up to the edge of his prison.

"Loki! So, this is where they're keeping you," MJ smirked as she met his gaze, "Gotta say, you look like you've seen better days. Is it me, or are you looking a little pale? Not enough sunshine in your life, right?"

Loki growled, "Funny…" Turning his attention away from the rude earth woman, he smiled and showed a surprised expression, "Hello…mother…? Wow, you look…younger. Did you learn a new spell to preserve your youth? You must share."

A loud boom shook the room and interrupted the trickster god, "I see our old enemies are still kicking. I don't suppose you'd let me out of here. I can help."

"Yeah, nice try. I'm going to enjoy seeing you as a normie," MJ shook her head.

The Asgardian Prince lifted a brow as he said, "Normie? Whatever that means, I don't like it."

"Get used to it goat man," MJ smirked.

"Why so sour, little Spider? Holding a grudge?"

"Against the jackass that put my planet at risk and cost the lives of thousands of innocent people? Noooo, why would you ever think that?" There was a clear and thick accent of sarcasm in her voice.

"Not my fault, blame Thor. He's the one who kicked me into the Bifrost. If not for him, I never would have been forced to work for that Mad Titan."

"Loki!" Frigga shouted with a frown.

The god flinched as he looked over at his mother and said, "Yes, mother?"

"Now is not the time for your trickery! Our world is under attack, our people are dying!"

"Your people," Loki frowned.

"OUR people. It matters not that you were born from another. We are your family, Loki."

"You know what, Loki? I agree with the Queen, she may not have birthed you, but she raised you as her own. So maybe lay off the snide remarks an…sigh…hold on…" MJ said before she suddenly webbed out a line towards the entrance seconds before a Dark Elf tried to rush into the room.

She pulled the web line back and punched the Dark Elf so hard that he saw stars before falling unconscious.

"We cleared out the room, but nothing is going to stop them from sending more in. I'll web the entrance…" MJ's senses went off before she rushed forward and grabbed a blade that was invisible.

"How?!" A man wearing red skull themed full plate armor shouted as it shimmered out of its invisibility mode, "Who are you?!"

Having just stopped a sword from stabbing the queen in the back, MJ smiled and said, "Why I'm your fairy god mother, and son, I'm disappointed in you."

Jane snorted while the Queen frowned and shouted, "Algrim! You dare to show your face in my kingdom after what you did to my son?!"

"Hahaha! It's not my fault you raised such a foolish child. Though, foolish he may be, I have to thank your son. If not for him knocking me into the magma, I would have been captured by your army," The man responded as he snatched his blade back from MJ's grasp.

"Mother! Let me out! I can help!" Loki shouted with a worried expression on his face. He knew just how dangerous this Dark Elf was. He was capable of going toe to toe with his Thor, so he thought that there was no way a couple of girls from Midgard could offer any assistance to his mom.

However, much to the God's surprise, MJ's fist glowed with her dark red Aura before she slammed her fist into the Dark Elf's stomach, sending his feet sliding back a few feet when she suddenly dashed forward to jump kick him in the head.

Algrim took the full brunt of her blow and grinned under his helmet it, "Is this the best you…"

His words were cut off as Mary Jane uppercut his chin with so much force that it actually surprised the God.

"Not bad for a…what are you?" Algrim rubbed his chin.

"I thought I told you already, I'm your fairy god mother, here to put you to sleep and give you a nice dream," MJ said as Frigg jumped from behind and swung her sword down with all her might.

The Dark Elf raised his sword and clashed. He was fully expecting to counter the Queen's blow, but MJ raised the stone floor with her Geokinesis, knocking him off balance while she punched into his gut.

Enraged by her assault, Algrim swung his free hand and used his other to raise his sword so that he could block Frigg from cutting into him with her enchanted sword.

MJ put everything she had into her next attacks and landed a few dozen blows while the Queen pressured him with the sword. They were slowly pushing him back until MJ suddenly felt her senses blaring.

She moved to dodge, but it was too late. A swift kick landed against her face before it sent her flying back. Her back slammed against the wall before fell to the ground, unmoving.

"MJ!" Jane shouted with worry as she ran to check up on her.

Frigg continued to focus on the opponent in front of her. Every swing of her blade caused shockwaves to rattle the space around them.

Swing after swing, parries, blocks, and spell craft was slung back and forth as the two god-like beings clashed several dozen times.

"Hey! Woman! Let me out!" Loki demanded as he looked at Jane shaking an unconscious MJ.

"I couldn't even if I wanted to! I don't know how!" Jane yelled as she looked on in fright.

"Just place your hand against the wall of light! I'll take care of the rest!" Loki looked at his mother fighting with a frantic expression.

Jane could tell that Loki genuinely wanted to help, but she also knew that he'd split the moment he ensured his mother's safety.

"Damn it!" Jane shouted as she walked while carrying MJ over her shoulder.

She raised her hand, ready to set the God of Mischief free when MJ suddenly grabbed Jane's shoulders and said, "Oooh…ow…let's leave that as plan B."

"MJ!!! I'm so glad you're okay," Jane breathed a sigh of relief.

"I'm not out of this fight yet. Move to the roof and wait for an opening, Spiderling will guide your aim when I need it."

"Aim?"

MJ suddenly leapt into the air and shot a few dozen elemental web bullets with Chi infused into them.

They hit his chest and neck seconds before the Norse Goddess landed two clean blows that cut deep into the Dark Elf's armor.

"Quite impressive, Lady Watson!" Frigga shouted as she chopped at Algrim's hand.

The Dark Elf tried to pull his hand back while Runes floated above his arm. He was reading for a counterattack while he dodged, but MJ wasn't haven't any of that.

"It'll be Lady Parker sometime next year," MJ said as she webbed his hand to the ground.

As Algrim's hand was chopped clean through to the bone, MJ sent a powerful bolt of electricity from her hand down her webbing, and onto the God-like being.

He yelped in pain before he felt another blast of webbing cover his eyes, this time it was Jane and Spiderling providing support.

"Got to thank Peter on upgrading the Symbiote. It would've sucked if I had to fight in my magic suit," MJ thought as she suddenly ducked.

The punch Algrim threw out was easily dodged before MJ webbed his feet together and leapt over his head.

At the same time as her jump, Frigga charged her weapon at his throat.

Algrim grunted as he leaned back. However, MJ was there waiting for him and pushed on his back with a Chi-Enhanced lightning blast.

Frigg's blade pierce through his neck, tearing through the armor while placing the tip between the gap in his spine.

As he fell on the ground, MJ paled, "Did…I just help you kill that guy?"

"Algrim's bio-armor makes him all but unkillable. As long as he wears it, he will not die from such a blow," Frigg explained as she pushed her sword deep into the ground, placing her hilt at the base of his neck, "Though, he will be in severe pain until I chose to remove it."

Breathing a sigh of relief, MJ watched as Frigg cast several spells to seal away the Dark Elf in a prison next to Loki's.

"Wow, your mom is awesome," Jane whispered.

Loki nodded his head. He was glad that he didn't need to step in, but sour that he missed out on a chance to escape.

"So, he is more than your mate? He is your betrothed? I've never been to a Midgardian wedding. Tell me, what's it like?"

"Oh it's..."

A singularity suddenly ripped the webbing open at the entrance to the underground while MJ frowned at what she witnessed.

"Was that…a balck hole?"
