Familiar Voice

After resting a bit, he went to the frozen Brown Ogre and saw that his ice did not show any signs of melting at all. He thought it was strange that it did not melt after what seemed like an hour or two.

He decided to use his fire coated teeth to eat the Brown Ogre while it was still frozen.

He was nicely surprised by its taste.

It was cold inside while hot outside. It also felt very tender and was truly delicious.

He ate the whole corpse this time. Before, he left a bit since there were parts that weren't tasty, but this time, he ate it whole, leaving only bones to recognize.

He wasn't satisfied though. He got very hungry when he was using both spiritual energies simultaneously. It seemed like he would get hungry when using his spiritual energy too much.

In fact, the eating of that Brown Ogre didn't satisfy him at all, it only made him hungrier since it was so tasty…

He then went to the other frozen Green Ogre and ate him too.

It wasn't as tender as the Brown Ogre, but it was still tasty, so, he left nearly nothing left aside from its lower body part.

He then deactivated his fire teeth and looked at the two piles of ash. He couldn't eat those anymore, thus he went to the last one that was beheaded by him.

He ate it and it tasted like any normal meat, nothing special. He thought to use the method of freezing his prey before eating them with his fire coated teeth more often now.

He then went to see what memories he gained.

Well, he was quiet surprised to find out that the place he was in was called a dungeon and that it had three floors with three rooms and one room where food was being stored in each floor.

He also went through the memories of the Brown Ogre and realized that he couldn't use the full body armor. The most he could do was to toughen his muscles a bit up by using the Brown Ogre's method.

It was better than nothing since his defence and raw power increased a bit when using that. However, he should only use it if he couldn't handle the situation without it.

It wasn't aching or hurting him, but, the rate of consumption was very frightening. It was three times the speed at which his claws were depleting his spiritual energy.

He then looked around for the next stone door and there were two doors.

One was used for the room where food was kept while the other was leading to another staircase.

He decided to look into the storage room first before going down.

He pushed a rock that was three meters away from the stone door, exactly opposite it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The door opened and he saw something that disgusted him to his very core.

There were corpses piled up. The corpses alone didn't disgust him though.

It was the way those corpses were looking like. Those were ordinary childs. They were beaten until their skull was crushed, arms were left missing while the legs were bent into an direction that it should not have been possible to bent into.

There weren't only Humans. There were normal animals too… Wolves included.

He was truly enraged to see such a thing.

He regretted letting them die so easily. He should have tortured them more he thought.

His mind rang again and something told him what seemed very important.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The name of whom which will kill and devour whom he desires, even the moon shall not be spared!... Hati!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He heard a very ancient voice speak that with a very serious tone and it felt very nostalgic.

He didn't know what that meant. He didn't know that that was his name at first.

He thought about it and didn't come to an conclusion. He'd think about it later when he calmed down a bit was what he decided.

Only after about 30 minutes was he calm again. He still got a bit angry when he thought of that storage.

He thought and asked him what that voice was.

He had no idea at all. It felt familiar yet not.

He then thought about what the voice told him "The name of whom which will kill and devour whom he desires, even the moon shall not be spared!... Hati! " he thought deeply.

'...Hati…?' He felt a strange feeling when thinking about that name.

It felt nice and at the same time evil he felt.

'Is this my name then?' He wondered, still curious about what that voice was and how it was able to speak to his mind directly.

He held his head up, proud about his name while looking towards the door, still thinking about the voice and what it said.

'Was it because I was full of hatred when I saw that storage? But why didn't that voice speak to me earlier then? I wonder why it didn't talk to me when I was wandering the land full of sand while being hungry and lonely...'

'Will it talk to me again? And in case it does, will it answer my questions?'

He was truly confused. He felt warm when hearing that voice, but he didn't understand why.

He honestly wanted to talk with it again to get his questions answered.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After he set those thoughts aside, he saw the other door that was leading to the lower floor.

From what he knew, the beasts there would get higher in numbers and strength. He needed to make plans to be able to deal with them on his own.

He then moved closer and opened the door with its mechanism.

He felt the auras from below. The amount was a bit high he thought.

There were ten auras. Six were feeling similar to each other and the other four too.

That meant ten opponents with two different races to fight.

When he went the staircase down though, he got surprised by the sound of a fight going on.

It was the sound of clashing steel.

He thought that the enemies had weapons this time and he mustn't underestimate them.

'But, why are there sounds of clashing steels? Are they fighting against each other?' was what he thought before he saw it.

There were two fighting silhouettes clashing their weapons against each other in a very crude manner.

One was a small brown silhouette that was wielding an axe. It looked like it was made out of wood, was widely built, had a big stomach, short legs and had a beard of wood as well. The weapon it held was an axe that would normally be used for cutting wood.

It was hard to imagine it since it was like a being that was never really seen before.

(AN: Since it is rather weird to imagine, I found an picture that fits my description rather good http://listverse.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/leshy-tm.jpg )

The other silhouette was also small.

It was a small being with bluish black skin and pointed ears. Its lower part was also covered in black fur like that of a goat. It was standing on its two slim legs and had two daggers in each arm.

(AN:I didn't find a pic for this one, please bear with just imagining it)

The two silhouettes were clashing against each other with killing intent.

The small wooden one had a power that was as strong as that of the Brown Ogre while being more agile.

The smaller creature with the bluish black skin was very fast in contrast to its body built. It didn't have much strength behind its attacks, but, it was fast enough to dodge nearly all attacks made by his opponent.

Although those two clashed against each other, they didn't have much killing intend behind their attacks. It seemed like they wanted to show their superiority by fighting against each other.

Hati's mind shook and he found out what those beings were.
