"What can you do with the 10 SP I was awarded?" Mark was already used to questioning Pass.

The civilization was now about an hour away from him. He found a tree and was resting on one of its branches.

[With the 10 that you earned I can't do much. The most meaningful thing I can do with it is to finish unlocking the unlimited potential perk]

[You already had great potential, and me combining with you increased it further. All that's left to do is completely synchronize our potential. Synchronizing is easy only because I am one with you. I have no memory of anything that reaches our combined potential, so this is the first time I will be seeing the unlimited potential perk] Pass answered Mark before he could ask the question.

"Do it then," Mark commanded.

Unlimited Potential(No Rank, No Level)- Your body and mind are released from any shackles that inhibit their growth.

Mark felt slightly different after unlocking Unlimited Potential, like a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders.

All of his responsibilities were finished. He completed his mission, and he came closer to civilization for protection. Now he could go back to training. Training water related abilities was dangerous here, so he would focus on learning from Pass, practicing the abilities that didn't need water to practice, and training his body.

Everything he did now earned him linear benefits, instead of diminishing returns. With only a day and a half of training his improvement was more than that of his previous two months. The longer he trained his abilities, the more it was worth as they would normally become harder to train.

He stopped training half way through the day for two reasons. His Light Marking leveled up, and there was a slight rumbling in the ground.

He activated his Light Marking, which increased his vision a little more than before, but still couldn't see anything. The rumbling slowly increased as he waited. More than an hour had passed, but the rumbling was still small.

From the small groups he had seen running, they must know what is going on. He wanted the information, but didn't want to ask for it, so instead he headed toward the civilization.

Even from several kilometers away he could still see the walls. Since the wall was in sight, Mark would just wait to see what the people at the civilization would do.

His waiting continued, and finally the rumbling reached a crescendo, at this point it was loud enough that he wouldn't even be able to hear a person yelling into his ear. He activated Light Marking to search once again. This time he could see something.

Coming from behind the horizon was a grey line. The grey line quickly grew into individual figures, before finally being able to be recognize the details of the individual figures. They were beasts, specifically Mana beasts based on the stones that appeared on various spots of their bodies.

Uncountable in number, the herd was quickly heading in the direction of the civilization. Some were large, while others were small. Some had horns, and some spewed fire. There were two legged beasts, three legged, four legged, and many more. However, they all had one thing in common. Each one could single-handedly destroy Mark.

Without hesitation, Mark ran the other way. He cared far more about his survival than that of the civilization's.

Massive amounts of fire magic, and neutral magic, magic that wasn't aligned to an element, shot out from a quarters way up the wall. Many beast died, but more filled their places.

Even at what Mark would call a safe distance away, he could still see the civilization's walls. The beast continued straight on their collision course with wall and collided. The monumental wall disappeared instantly. A new wall appeared, this time much smaller in scale.

It was only dove meters tall, and Mark could now see the end of the walls. There were people atop the wall, and they were scrambling about, which Mark could only see as blurry dots.

After the new wall emerged, it was quickly trampled under by the beast. If he were closer perhaps he could hear the screaming, yelling, and crying coming from the scared people inside the wall, but he wasn't, and even if he was, he probably wouldn't care.

There were some who tried to resist, but they all ended up dead. No mater how many fought back, they still couldn't resist the Mana Beast Tide. Blood began to spread from all of the dead bodies, leaving everything in red. The beasts didn't stop, of course, and continued on for whatever reason had caused them to move in the first place.

There was sure to be some that survived. Perhaps from luck, or they just left when they felt the rumbling. Mark new that he was no longer safe here, and he didn't want to go to a place that could be trampled just as easily as this one. What was the use of coming toward civilization if they didn't even provide him protection? This event proved to him how dangerous this world was, not that he didn't already learn from his previous dimension.

His journey was bound to continue. If he had more strength, he wouldn't run into such problems, so he needed to get stronger. Sadly strength didn't just fall from the sky, at least not for him. The best solution he could find now was to seek shelter from someone who was strong.

[Mission Alert]

Find the capital city of the Wind Nation- You are to weak now. Your best chance at survival is the shelter of someone or something strong. However, not all places will accept you, so you must seek the capital city of the peace loving Wind Nation. Unlike many other nations, the Wind Nation accepts all residents regardless of race or power.

Reward: Wind alignment, !?!?!?! ??!?!, 300 DP(Dimensional Points)

"Where's the direction of the capital city of the Wind Nation?" Mark asked Pass.

[Wouldn't be much of a mission if I just told you, would it?]

"What's the harm in telling me?" Mark couldn't comprehend why Pass wouldn't tell him.

[There's quite a few. This dimension would help me less, as this was a mission that was co-assigned by me and the dimension, and I wouldn't be able to collect as much SP]

"The dimension assigned it? And why wouldn't you be able to collect as much SP?" Mark only became more confused as Pass explained, so he asked more questions.

[The mission was co-assigned. By completing this mission, you will in some way be helping this dimension. Your emotions are the easiest to collect, so by helping the dimension, the dimension is helping me get more emotions out of you]

"I'm getting annoyed. Is that enough emotion for you?" Mark complained to Pass.

[Ohhh, but I'll get so much more if I don't tell you, so I won't. You'll just have to ask someone~] Pass said to Mark, hoping to annoy him more, for his emotions.

Pass didn't get his wish, because Mark was now seriously considering how to find the capital of the Wind Nation. Walking around aimlessly wasn't a good idea, danger was everywhere, as seen by the stampede. There was no one hear to ask- in the middle of his thinking Mark asked,

"Can you point me in the direction of a person to talk to?" That was Mark's only option, if he couldn't find someone then he would only be able to wonder aimlessly.

Without responding, Pass pointed Mark's inner Mana towards a direction directly to the south of the civilization. Right now he was south of it, so he would need to continue that way. Continuing down that way, he would eventually reach were his cave was.

He had no better choice for his survival, so, just like last time, he would go toward that direction regardless of his emotions of not wanting to.
