I Stood There: Waves

I stood on the Rocky embankment and felt the wild wind blow my hair. The salty air caries the smell of the ocean and the decay of sea creatures. I close my eyes and savor the sound of the crashing waves. I feel the feelings of yesterday and yesterday's worries slowly melt off of my broad shoulders. I hear the sound of crying gulls as they go in search of a helpless banked creature of the deep. I reopen my eyes and see a sanddigger at my feet go scurry on the sand. The sight of five sandpippers running along the shore is a welcoming sight for sore eyes. I pull out my crystal flute, and start playing a familiar song. It is just I and the creatures of the salty Sea.
