Snap 8: Lies.

I was left wondering what to think that night. The fact that two seemingly good people lied to me, didn't even bother to say anything about their situation. I could've helped if something was wrong. Why'd Jupiter even send them? I searched the school registry and found out Jupiter is listed as their guardian. Knowing that, I could only wonder what their purpose is... what's mine in all this weirdness.

I found a text on my phone from Ai. We exchanged numbers for the project. When we did she was a little red, apparently embarrassed as she never had a boy's number. The text said she would be coming over for the project. Apparently there was an incoming Snowstorm and School's canceled. She was also inviting those two. At least I could get answers from them, Mars and Venus...

I was woken up by my shouting sister, to get the door. I groaned and waddled down to the door and opened the door to see Ai's face. In a brief second it turned red. I looked down to see my shirt not on. I was too tired to change my shirt last night. My own face turned red.

"S-sorry, I didn't change all the way yesterday..."

"It's alright..." She sputtered.

I put a shirt on and let her in. She took off her jacket and I hung it up. She walked I'm my room. She seemed in awe, likely since she didn't even have a boy's number, she had never been in another boy's room. I prepared some Hot Cocoa as it started snowing outside. We turned on the TV to see the news. As we waited for them to come the news shifted to some breaking news. Hostages at a bank. Ai looked horrified. Seeing her like that, even though we barely know each other, it made me... mad. I excused myself to the bathroom

*Snap* I looked down and I was invisible.

*Snap* *Snap* I teleported there.

The snow had gotten heavy by then. I saw the criminals holding guns to the heads of the hostages. Then I saw what REALLY scared Ai. Mars and Venus were hostages, so was Jupiter. I looked up to see the bank's name, Juniper Bank, I see. I went and grabbed a pipe, which turned invisible and striked all of them over the head at once. They all got knocked out. Those three all stared at me, giant grins and all. I left as quick as possible, back to the bathroom. I heard knocking.

"A-are you in there?"

"Y-yeah! I'll be out in a second."

I saw Ai standing there.

"Uh... need a turn?" I said.

"I, I saw you. On the news." She said.

Huh?

"But no one else did, no one but those three, Mabel, Venus and that small girl."

I had no choice but to explain my powers.

"You have powers too?" She said after I finished.

"What do you mean, too?" I replied.

"I have powers too."

And then, in her hand a green orb appeared, dazzling me.
