Moon Village

It actually took an entire week for everyone in the Shu family to finally breakthrough to the next level and settle down.

However, unknown to most of them, Qai once again made use of the fifth piece of the Supreme Qi Gathering Pills which he reserved for himself.

And so to their surprise, Qai emerged from his room after a week of closed door cultivation exuding with an aura of initial Sky stage of Expert realm.

He practically jumped a stage!

That was probably because of the two consecutive usage of Supreme grade pills in more or less two weeks.

But to his family, they surmised that Qai must truly be a cultivation genius—and they obviously looked at him with mixed emotions of happiness and envy.

"Now, now.. It's not that I am cheating you or something..," Qai said with a big grin on his face, "..I merely used the same pills I gave you.. nothing more, nothing less."

He then paused and rubbed his nose.

"After this level," Qai said. "I will definitely hurdle bottlenecks like the rest of you."

"You're a freak," Shu Liang shouted. "How can we not envy you."

"Look at you, Little Brother..," Shu Wu called. "You and Liang are now both in the same initial Earth stage but with three-year difference in age."

"If you're not a genius..," Shu Liang yelled. "..then all of us must be trash."

Qai just grinned and once again rubbed his nose.

"Alright, alright.. that's enough," Shu Wei announced. "Everyone has listed your requests.. it's time for me to see Jiang City."

Realizing somethng's odd, the head of the family then paused aand suddenly looked a bit confused as if he forgot something important.

"But wait...," Shu Wei quickly inquired, "Qai, since you broke through to another stage, that must mean you need two skill scrolls."

"That's right Father," Qai carefully replied, "..for my second skill, I also want a movement skill. If you won't be able to find a rare one for lightning element, then the common class 'Cloud Steps' will do."

They wondered why Qai chose a movement skill first and not an attack skill--he apparently made a sacrifice for the first one already, now it seemed that he was wasting another opportunity.

But Shu Wei simply nodded in agreement and said, "why don't you choose the scroll yourself?"

"Eh."

Everyone could not figure out what the family head meant.

"What do you mean, Father?" Qai asked in reply.

"Your big brother had been accompanying me to the city in the past," Shu Wei described. "But as you know, Qinlun has just given birth to their son, so why not join me instead."

"Yes!" Qai excitedly answered.

"Noooo," Shu Liang yelled.

Although Shu Liang, had already seen the nearby villages, she had never gone to Jiang City.

***************

It would take around three-day travel to the west to actually get to Jiang City.

And so after some quick preparations, the father and son bid their goodbyes to the rest of the family members and immediately started their journey. Qai obviously brought the black tiger cub with him.

On their way to Moon Village, Qai took the chance to relay to his father his thoughts.

"Father," he called, "..if we come across a beast taming skill scroll in the next village, I want to buy it... Ahm, I actually want to see immediately the effect on this black tiger."

'Roooar.'

The cub softly growled in approval as if it could readily understand the conversation.

"No problem son," his father said. "It's a common skill. The merchants in Moon Village would probably have two or three of them."

Qai excitedly nodded and hugged the cub.

"Did you hear that," he whispered to the cub's pointy ears. "We're officially gonna be little brothers soon."

Shu Wei slightly shook his head awkwardly although he definitely felt happy for his youngest son.

****************

Moon Village was only about few kilometers away from the family's plateau. And it only took them a little less than two hours walking.

Shu Wei had enjoyed a good reputation in the village. He was actually familiar with village chief and merchants so the father and son never met any animosity when they entered the village.

Thus, as soon as they set their feet in the village, they went straight to a famous merchant stall and looked for any scroll they would find to their liking.

"It's been a while Shu We.. Woah!" The familiar merchant was about to greet Shu Wei when he noticed Shu Wei emitting a Sage realm aura.

"You're finally a Sage!"
