Expanding

Elder Lu decided to bring his nephew in their travel to the Shu family's plateau.

He wanted Su Yu to meet other cultivators in the area particularly the members of the Shu family to widen somehow his nephew's horizon.

The Moon Village chief, on the other hand, brought another elder while he gave the rest of the village elders his instructions to be in-charge in his stead before they headed east.

The distance between the Shu family's plateau and the Moon Village was relatively short so they estimated that they would arrive before noon.

Meanwhile, in the Shu family's place, everyone was busy furnishing the newly built 'Treasury Hall' in the southeastern part of the plateau.

The master-apprentice duo of Qinlun and Bing were tasked to take charge of the Pill Room. And obviously, the two were very much delighted as they would have their own little world.

All of their needs for concocting

were placed meticulously on a shelf—the herbs and cores were separately grouped in one side while the pills and cauldrons were organized in another.

In another room, the father and son tandem of Shu Wei and Shu Wu took the task of organizing the Armory.

Although the family owned not much in terms of weapons, the pair apparently still took some time to arrange well what they barely got—that was because the duo were challenged by the nice atmosphere coming from the Pill Room.

Qai, on the other hand, was assigned to furnish the Library.

It wasn't really a difficult duty for Qai since the family had practically no collection of scrolls at that moment. His father only had a handful of books and old maps so organizing the Library was way a lot easier than the other rooms—at least for then.

'This library will be fully functional soon,' Qai assured himself.

Shu Ling, meanwhile, took the turn to take care of her grandson, which she actually liked a lot, while Shu Liang was left with the job of manning the inn at that that moment.

In the northwing of the plateau though, Jing and Shandian were busy taking care of the 'tamed' mortal beasts.

So while Jing was, on the one hand, cleaning the stable and shed, Shandian was physically training the four mortal beasts, on the other, all at the same time—that was, apparently, another one of Qai's schemes thinking that it may help them evolve.

Not before long, four silhouettes came approaching the family's plateau—and Shu Liang, who was at the inn, was the first to discover them.

So when the four guests set their foot near the inn, she immediately recognized the familiar faces of the village chief and Elder Lu.

"If it isn't the Moon Valley Chief..," Shu Liang politely jested, "..how may our Shu family help you?"

"Hmmmn," the chief observantly mumbled.

"It seems a lot of changes have occured since the last time I came here..," Elder Lu said as if filling in the words brewing in the mind of the village chief.

The plateau was not particularly large but it was not small either. It would probably be less than a couple of square kilometer if truly measured. But be that as it may, it was nonetheless perfect for human and beast settlement since some small portions of the plateau were still covered with trees and bushes.

From its entry point though, all the buildings would aready be seen. And so the Moon Village people were unsurprisingly surprised to see new additions in the layout of the Shu family property.

After some moments, Shu Wei finally arrived near the inn to see the guests.

"Greetings Chief, greetings esteemed elders," he said. "What brings you to my family's humble place?"

The village chief who was evidently excited to see the family head was the first to make a remark.

"It looks like your humble place is quite expanding Shu Wei."
