Chapter 28-Nightmare

Yin Yue was sitting around a table in the garden with her parents. They were chatting happily with each other. It was a rare occasion Yin Yue got to spend her time freely with both her father and mother, because her father was always busy with military works. They were having tea and enjoying the scenery of setting sun in the evening .

Suddenly as if it was going to rain,a massive dark cloud invaded the sky.It was getting larger and larger and covered the whole sky including the sun.The surrounding got dark like a solar eclipse happening and a sudden thick fog started to invade the surrounding, backing up the speed of spreading darkness.Yin Yue was frightened to the core because of this sudden change. She looked at where her parents were but she couldn't find them. The thick fog had covered all the area densely .She called her parents, crying. But she couldn't get any answer. She kept calling while crying .She couldn't move anywhere to look for her parents because of the darkness .And the thick fog was becoming more and more dense, it was suffocating .She was trying hard to keep breathing and calling for parents at the same time.

Yin Yue woke up, sitting on the bed, heavily breathing .She was sweating heavily too.She looked around with panicked eyes . With the faint moonlight coming through the closed windows and doors of the hall, she gradually understood that she is in the sleeping place of servants' quarters .She heaved a heavy sigh and again laid down to have some sleep. But that ominous dream keep appearing in her mind again and again. She tossed and turned around but she couldn't calm down her mind for sleeping.

Therefore she got up,walked slowly out of the quarters like a thief without making any noise.

She took a walk in the garden, towards the area she used to practice early in the morning.

There was a pavilion beyond the area she used to practice.

She walked towards it and sat there. Her mind was totally messy.Staring at the star strewn sky,she tried to calm her mind.

"Mother, Father... I really miss you so much" she muttered to herself looking at the sky.

"Yin Yue is not capable enough yet to avenge for you."

"But I promise father and mother, I will bring justice to our famiy.I will surely avenge for you" she again muttered herself , self promising .To calm down her mind, she started deep breathing practice .

After getting some fresh air through breathing exercises, she started feeling fine. She was not sleepy at all.

According to the sky,she guessed that there were still two-three hours for her training time.Although she was not sleepy, now that her mimd is calm ,she decided to go back and try having some sleep because she thought that lack of sleep would make her tired and that would affect her work and health. She couldn't afford to be ill right now. Therefore she hurried back to the servants' quarters without knowing that she was observed by another pair of eyes from distance.

Wang Shu, the first young master of the magistrate family also was having difficulty in sleeping that night. Normally, when he had difficulty in sleeping, he used to read a book or have some tea helped to relax and fall asleep.Today also he tried reading a book but couldn't concentrate on that. So, he came to the window of his room and tried to get some fresh air while looking at the star-strewn sky.

The room was situated in the second floor of his quarters. Therefore he could see a large area of courtyard from his window. While he was looking at the sky, suddenly he saw a figure of a person in the pavilion which situated in a far corner. He didn't see from where that person came there, but he observed what a person was doing in that pavilion at that time.

From the faint moonlight, it was not very clear to see every move in detail. But Wang Shu guessed that, that person also might came there because he/she was unable to sleep because that person also was just sitting idle there staring at the sky. Therefore he kept observing that person until he/she left the place finally. According to the direction that person went,he guessed that should be a servant of his household.

Finally, Wang Shu also felt sleepy after his task of observing an unidentified person and he too went to have his sleep for the day.
