A Curse

Anya finished making the freshly brewed coffee and was ready to deliver it to her boss. It was a cold morning, but she never felt the chills because just by looking at Wang Roc earlier, she felt all her blood was boiling. Now, facing at the CEO's door. She took a deep breath and calmed herself. (time to see my baby) as she giggled.

Roc on the other side, raised his head. He looked at his door, and he smiled amusingly, because he could clearly hear what was on Anya's mind outside the door.....

Wang Roc discovered this ability when he was 5 years old and told her mom about his strange ability.

"Mom I can read your mind."

"No you can't, that's impossible." his mom replied flatly.

"I can mom, you're always thinking about Uncle Rong, and.. and you're thinking about divorce." Wang Roc proudly said.

"Mommy what is divorce?"

Wang Xaya was rooted and her face turned pale. (How is this possible.. This is insane! My son is crazy!)

"Mommy, i'm not crazy." Roc's eyes were turning red. He wanted to cry.

Mrs. Wang looked at her son in terror. She did not utter any words, but her son answered her as if they had been talking. Wang Roc dashed forward, wanting to hug his mother. He was scared. To his surprise, his mother pushed him away and looked at him strangely. Staring at his mother's shaking figure, was traumatic for him. It was like a curse. He never imagined that his very own mother would be scared of him. He felt betrayed and hated his unique ability. After that, he decided not to read anyone's mind... not until..

Anya knocked on the door, which helped Roc get back to his senses.

*Sigh* "Come in."

Upon entering the office, Anya noticed the pleasant fragrance of the air in the space. She couldn't help but let her thoughts free. (Ahhh!!! Smells so good!!!!)

"Here's your coffee (baby!! >.< ) boss" She almost blabbers it.

"Thank you." Roc chuckled inside. Anya was a very professional assistant, and she displayed all the qualities of a diligent employee. It had not been his intention to read her mind, but earlier he saw her acting strangely that made him curious. He would never have imagined that she had a cute side, too.

"By the way Miss Lin Anya, are you free tonight?"

Anya was stunned.. (Yes!!!! Come on, is that even a question. >.< I'm always free! free to love you, kiss you! take care of you!! Why did you suddenly ask babe?!! My heart can't take this.)

"Yes Sir." she calmly answered.

Roc was holding his laughter. He intentionally replied a little longer..

"Okay, that's good. Buy some flowers for Miss Jiang Sisi, my grandma arranged me a dinner date tonight. But I have an important meeting at the same time. You know what to do."

(Dinner date? so you're cheating on me?! hmmmp! Honey, why? Am I not good enough? I feel betrayed *sobs*) Anya's inner thoughts.

He chuckled.

"Miss Lin Anya, did you hear me?"

"Ah-ahm, yes boss, I'll do as you say"

"Okay, you may now leave"

Wang Roc watched his adorable assistant walk-out with a gloomy face. The more he read her mind and saw how calm and serious her face was. He couldn't help but to peak a little.
