Chapter 3: A Familiar Face

"So, what's your name?"

"Isn't it obvious that you should ask your name first, then ask for the other person's name?"

After hearing me say that, she was annoyed. So I ignored her and said,

"Well, whatever. It's not like I would want to know you and meet you again."

"Who would want to meet a selfish bastard like you."

"Maybe you will, after all, I saved you."

"I definitely wouldn't and you did not save me you piece of shit, you just took advantage of the situation!"

"What's wrong with that?"

As she was about to shout at me, the bell rang and interrupted our argument. I took advantage of it.

"Well, I may not look like it but I like studying and I don't want to miss class so, see ya."

Without letting her say anything, I waved my hand at her and walked away. There is one thing I must do before I go to my class.

On the way to my destination, I thought,

' That girl was cute but she was nothing compared to Reika.'

.....

I went to where Reika's class were, to see if she was doing fine. I casually walked past class 1-2 so as to not be conspicuous. I only moved my eyeballs, without moving my head, and scanned the classroom.

Finally, I spotted her sitting in a chair on the second to last place, in the centre row. I saw her surrounded by many female and even also male students. She was chatting and had a happy face.

I felt relieved and turned my sight towards the corridor. My class was only a few metres from Reika's class. I leisurely walked, hands in my pocket, listening to music on my headphones and headed to my allocated class.

At arriving before the door, I stopped and looked at a small board saying 'class 1-4'. It was noisy on the other side of this door. I guess they were making friends and groups already. It's such a pain in the ass. I just want to be left alone.

I let out a tired sigh.

'The first thing I do when entering this school is to save a delinquent girl. I guess the rest of the years in this school will be hectic.' I again sighed.

Opening the door with enough force that it would have broke, I entered the class. There was silence in the class. Everyone was probably thinking that I am a delinquent. Well not like I care about them.

I went to check on the board about the seat arrangements and located where I was to be seated. Apparently, it's the one furthest at the back on the last row. It's the best seat for me as I won't get expose for lazing around in class. I don't have any interest in studies. Until I get average points on all my test, I am very happy with it.

I went to my seat and sat down. At that moment the class started whispering into each other. Apparently, the class was silent and they were watching me this whole time.

The noise level started to increase. It was annoying, so I raise the volume of the music that I was listening and leaned on my hands to look at scenery through the window. It was spring so the Sakura trees were full of sakura leaves which were blossoming and flying around the school.

I was captivated by this view.

.....

A few minutes later, I saw the door opened and a middle-aged person came.

That's obviously the teacher, who came in front of the class and talked to us in a loud tone but not a menacing one. It was as if he was ordering his own children.

By the way, he speaks, I guess that he is an experienced teacher and the type that get along with everyone very quickly. He spoke to us in a loud and clear voice so that everyone could hear every single word he said.

"Hello everyone. I'm your homeroom teacher for your first year in this school. My name is Kimura Hiroshi. I hope that everyone will get along well for the rest of the year."

When he just finished his introduction, there was a loud bang near the door. We all changed our attention towards the door and a girl who was panting heavily was there.

'Well, that sure is a surprise.'

The same girl, who I met in the morning was right there. I wonder why is she panting heavily for.

A few were looking at how beautiful she was, some were looking at her with fear as she seemed a little angry and others were looking at her with curiosity wondering if she was the same as me, that is a delinquent.

She calmed herself down and glanced at the board to see where her seat was allocated. After a moment, she walked over to her designated seat, ignoring her surroundings, and sat down. The whole class was silent again.

The teacher was the one who broke the silence.

"Then, everyone starts introducing yourself. You may also state your hobby, clubs that you want to join and other things. We'll start from you on the far left, in the front and then we will proceed in a horizontal manner."

Everyone started to introduce themselves. There was still time for my turn, so I took advantage of it. Although the delinquent girl was coincidentally seated right next to me, she didn't notice me.

She was probably angry at something that she couldn't care less about anyone else. I poked at her cheek. Annoyed, she turned around to look at me. Before she could scream at me, the moment she saw my face, her face froze.

"What a coincidence meeting you here again."

She couldn't speak a word. Once her turn came to introduce herself, I poked her again and signalled her to do so. She stood up, putting her thoughts in a corner of her brain for now and spoke in an annoyed and loud voice.

"I'm Fujimoto Aki. My hobby is fighting and I have no clubs that I want to join."

'So she is called Aki, huh. She is a good fighter and has experience from being into many fights. It would good if I make her my shiel- I mean my ally to deal with troublesome opponents.'
