A monotonous voice resounded in Ge Mong's mind, and that gave him a scare. He was utterly shocked when he heard the voice, but its not because of the suddenness.
'Don't tell me....this is the legendary system from the novels?!' Ge Mong's mouth formed a huge 'O' and his steady heart started to beat quickly.
"Beep! The host is correct, this great system functions like those in novels."
"Beep! System initializing..."

Ge Mong - Level 1

Level Progress Bar - 0/10 XP
Current Location - System Space
After Ge Mong's eyes shifted to the stats, he couldn't help but chuckle loudly. According to the novels he had read, he could more or less determine the ability of these stats.
The Physical refers to the overall power of the body.
The Soul stat determines the strength of the soul.
The Mental value is how much of the soul power can a person use.
The Luck stat is the number that states a person's fortune.
The Level Progress Bar indicates the amount of XP points required to achieve a level up, and when a level up occurs, all stats will increase by an amount.
'Is that right, system?' Ge Mong's chin was lifted as he thought proudly in his heart.
"Beep! The host is correct. Since the host seems to know much about the system's working, the system will now transfer the host to a One Star World, instead of the usual Unranked Worlds for starters."
Right after the message, a mild space fluctuation appeared. The scenery of the stars around the space started to bend and Ge Mong's vision blurred immediately. Like a fish caught in a net, he felt his body powerless to resist.
"Wait!" Ge Mong shouted loudly in his heart, but it was of no avail. His glowing body was twisted and vanished on the spot.
-Lotus Bamboo World, One Star World-
This was a place where there are powerful beings known as cultivators reside. These people were the ten thousandth percentile of the mortal's population. In average, there would be one cultivator present in ten thousand mortals.
These cultivators empower their body by absorbing Qi energy. They could manipulate the Qi energy around the world and could travel on flying swords. Some powerful cultivators even had the ability to break mountains and shake the sea all by themselves.
As such, the mortals were very respectful to the cultivators, since they were like insects hoping not to get squashed the the human legs.
-Boundless Qi Sect, Yellow-rank sect-
Located in a secluded mountain range by the East Continent was a famous sect called Boundless Qi Sect. It was well-known to the people living in the three cities surrounding the mountain range, many children who grew up in those cities would often hear many grand tales regarding the sect. It was their lifetime's dream to enter the sect, and become a mighty cultivator.
In the third section herb garden of Boundless Qi Sect, the sunlight was gently touching the surface of the plants in the garden. Most of the sunlight was slightly dimmer than what one would've imagined, but it was because of the translucent hemisphere that was covering the whole region of the herb garden. The sunlight that was entering the garden seemed to be slowed down by the semi-transparent barrier of white light. Had one paid enough attention, he would see that the sunlight from outside the barrier would, after passing through the barrier, become more gentle, softer, but it was actually more condensed as well.
A three-leaved purple flower had its back bent and it was facing the source of sunlight. As the wind blew, its waist would go - left right left right. Just like the other plants around it, it was happily absorbing the gentle sunlight, that was until the sunlight suddenly disappear, and a huge force bent its body all the way until it broke in two halves.
The criminal was Ge Mong, his body was transported right above the aforementioned plant, and the gravity used his butt to send the plant straight to nirvana.
"Ou..." Getting an abrupt fall wasn't such a nice experience. Ge Mong's face scrunched up as he massaged his rear mountains, hoping to relieve the pain quickly.
After a few blinks, he stood up and surveyed his surroundings. He felt like standing in a long, transparent hallway, except odd looking herbs and plants were everywhere around him. There were also some man made objects - chairs, benches on his left and right, and a door located all the way at his front and back. A white light encompassed the herb garden in the form of a sphere, and he could clearly see the outline of mountains and rivers on the outside, they wouldn't be paintings, right?
He took a deep breath, and sharp fragrance of herb medicine assaulted his nose. This place felt like a cultured wildlands.
After his mind had been cleared up, he scratched his head, what to do...
'Fuck. It's all the system's fault.' Ge Mong's veins bulged at his forehead.
"Beep! The system believes in the host's ability to survive in a One Star World!"
'Haha.' Ge Mong extended his middle finger in his heart.
'Sigh, system, what functions are available now?' After taking a deep breath, Ge Mong asked.
"Beep! Currently the system can : display the map, display the stats, display other being's health and stats, and some other basic functions."
Ge Mong nodded as he heard the system's reply. It was as expected, his level is too low for him to access greater functions. After pondering for a while, he asked again.
'When can I use the system store?'
"Beep! The host would unlock the system store after reaching Level 3."
Ge Mong nodded again after hearing the system's voice. Then, he lifted his head as his eyebrows furrowed.
'System, just now back on Earth, I felt a sudden sense of crisis, was it from you?'
"Beep! The host truly has good intuition. At that time, the system wanted to fuse with the host, but when the fusion occurs, it would kill the host if the host is alive."
'....Why did you choose me?'
"Beep! The system has scanned everywhere and has found out that the host has the most knowledge regarding the system, so the system decided to fuse with the host, since we have the most mutual understanding."
'Hmm....alright.' Ge Mong twirled his curly hair.
Ge Mong looked around his surroundings once more, and a slight sense of panic infiltrated his mind. He doesn't know where this place it, and how dangerous is it. Besides, there were too less information regarding this world and the behaviors of its inhabitants.
From the system, he knew that this is a low-grade cultivation world, its power level only at One Star. But according to his knowledge about systems, the power level scaling should be very high, so he'd best be careful about his actions.
'It's better to level up first, rather than getting a look at the outside world right away. I don't even know if I could go outside with that light barrier around...'
'Better if I unlock the system store first, since there's too less safety assurance, but how do I get XP now?'
Ge Mong revealed a thoughtful look for a while.
'System, display the stats.'
"Beep! Affirmative. However, the host should know that the host can access the stats by just thinking about it. There was no need to ask this system." The mechanical voice rang out once more, but this time, there was a hint of disappointment hidden within.
Ge Mong - Level 1
Physical - 0.8
Soul - 2.2
Mental - 1.7
Luck - 0.5
Combat Power - Weak Human
Level Progress Bar - 3/10 XP
Current Location - Lotus Bamboo World, East Continent, Boundless Qi Sect, Third Section Herb Garden.
Ge Mong's 'eyes' swept across the data. Without delaying any further, he thought to display the system's XP log.
XP Log
- Discovered a Three Leaf Cauwei unranked plant, +3 XP.
'As expected, discovering things for the first time gives out rewards, but the reward from that plant is in the form of experience points...' Thinking about that, Ge Mong set the XP log to display the messages when XP is acquired.
Ge Mong's eyes lit up as he moved towards the patch with plants of different variety. These plants seemed to be mass-produced as they were planted in groups of the same kind. There were so many of the three-leaved plants that he had to walk for half a minute to reach the second variety of plants.
After reaching the destination, his hand extended out to touch the next type of plant. It was a plant with a grey horn attached to the top of its flower.
"Beep! Discovered a Horny unranked plant, +4 XP."
Ge Mong's mouth twitched upon hearing the notification. He kept his heart still and moved forward to the next batch.
"Beep! Discovered a Tuonuo unranked plant, +4 XP."
"Beep! You have leveled up!"
