The lavender bedroom had a crystal chandelier dangling from the top of the white bed. Lying on it was a girl in pink, sleeping peacefully. She had a tender face, sculpted with perfection. Her raven black hair spread on the pillow akin to a flower, complimented her snow-white face.
Around the beauty, stood many attendants in absolute silence. Those small, wizened old men waited like a statue, guarding her.
"Cough.." When one of the goblins coughed, another blocked his mouth with his hand. The poor fellow choked and gagged, trying to keep the spittle in his mouth.
No sound was allowed to be made. Any action which disturbed her sleep was intolerable.
"Waah... Waah" Suddenly a loud wailing disrupted the calmness.
The girl on the bed sat, with great vigor!
"Wahhh... My Meat... My... Sausage," she cried. Her cherry lips puckered up, and those big eyes welled with tears.
It was a classic tale of a brother stealing food from his sister's plate. Her voice filled with heartache, she sniffed and sobbed.
Such a pitiful victim...
Her name was Eva. She had saved up her pocket money for three whole months, not spending even a dime on chocolates, just so she could order tasty, crispy chicken legs, juicy sausages, and burgers.
Looking at the table with all those unopened boxes, her stomach growled, urging her to open them.
No! What's meat without Coke? The combo pack was expensive, so she went to the nearby supermarket to buy cola.
When she got home, everything was gone! The food bag had vanished! She clenched her fist and ran straight to her big brother's room after inferring who the culprit was. It had to be him.
'Fight him. Kill him. Take back what's mine.' The door opened wide with a bang.
Her resolve to fight dissolved when she saw him. He held the last bit of a burger.
"MINE," she screamed. No ... No ... she prayed and shook her head.
When the boy glanced at her, he exposed an evil smirk. The next instant, he threw the burger into his mouth, chewed and swallowed.
"No." For a second Eva couldn't believe what happened. She remained paralyzed with her hands stretched out, hanging in the air. Why God why? What did she wrong in life?
Yep! Having an evil big bro was her sin! Who else could she blame?
Brother clicked his tongue. "Tasty," he sneered. He enjoyed her sullen look, more than the food he stole.
It was a pity the food couldn't be brought back.
'Revenge.' She glared at him.
The very next instant, her expression changed. She sat on the ground, buried her head in her knees, and started sobbing, loud enough to summon her parents who were next door. Why?
To give her justice!
A crying child gets milk. She knew, so she wept more.
Z..Z..Z...
The room shuddered. There seemed to be an earthquake while she stayed engrossed in mourning...
"Ah...." she sobbed. It was not just lost money or food, but lost hope and anticipation.
"Eva," her brother reached out at her vanishing figure.
Her surroundings had changed, yet she didn't notice.
"Wahhh... My Meat... My... Sausage," With her eyes crying, body twitching, she waited for her dad.
"Master?" a sweet little girl, around the age of 12 years old, inquired in a soft voice.
What followed the sweet voice was a rough one. "Today all the great and valiant warriors from far-away lands have arrived to ask for your hand in marriage. They are all waiting for you so we can start the selection process. What are your conditions for selection?"
The voice came from...from... a white fluffy small figure in a black suit.
It was Mr. Easter Bunny, their butler standing on a chair. His wrinkled forehead and furrowed brows showed impatience. After all, he had been standing for five hours waiting for her to get up.
"Meat... I want meat, my meat!" she answered unconsciously, still sobbing, so immersed in her role.
So it was decided that 'The Princess' would be wedded to a warrior who brought the best meat.
Thus began the biggest and most epic hunting competition of the millennium.
The perpetrator had no knowledge that she had instilled such a big event that would be remembered for centuries after. She hadn't come to her senses, gasping breathlessly. Little did she realize she was in an unknown world.
Everyone left one by one...
The princess was rather well known for her tantrums, which were to be ignored as per the order of the Queen.
When Eva regained consciousness, she found herself on a big pink soft fluffy bed. Overhead, a chandelier covered in pink diamonds swung from the ceiling. Huge murals of unicorns and dragons covered the walls.
Finally, she noticed something was not right! She was in an unfamiliar place, and her bed was so... She stroked the pink blanket. It was so different from her usual one.
It was soooo comfortable... soooo soft...that she fell back into its soft covers and slept when a wave of exhaustion took over her.
'Fight later.' now she needed sleep. 'Dream again.' she said to herself. 'Dream of the princess' room.' she lulled herself to sleep.
Only after her nap, did Eva realize that she had traveled to another world.
It was not a dream!
Transmigrated!
"Master. Please get up. It's noon." the soft voice wavered. The sweet little girl serving her was a half-Elf named Eli.
Oh! Elf!
'Maybe I became a beautiful and enchanting Elf too?' She touched her ear, wishing to feel long pointed ears.
But she was left disappointed.
It was the same old boring human ears!
Surprise after surprise, the day got interesting.
