Pain of Loss

Xu Dein stumbles backward in great shock, his legs are shaking rather profusely, frozen in place, as fear got the better of him.

Xu Dein helplessly screamed, "Nooo... This can't be happening. No, this can't be. Ron!", whilst feeling his body shaking.

He watched in untold terror, gazing at the last few moments of life, that's left of lil' Xu Ron, before his predetermined end. Unable to accept the reality that lay before him. The hopelessness of being unable to do anything. Xu Dein broke down crying, mentally driven to a corner.

However, Xu Kaan was the complete opposite, he hasn't completely lost hope. Or much rather, he isn't willing to accept the predetermined outcome of this hopeless course.

In a desperate attempt, to challenge against fate, the Aqua Iaculat Nephropidae. He sacrificed his own body, risking incurring irreversible damage, for a chance to change the outcome of this one-sided struggle.

Xu Kaan blubbered to himself, rather absentmindedly, his mind wandered elsewhere, 'There must be a way. There gotta be something. Something. Just anything. Please...', in all of a sudden, he opens his eyes wide in astonishment, having thought of something. He shouted, "That's it, the extra stats points.", feeling his hope rekindled.

Xu Kaan hurriedly opens up his status screen, without an ounce of hesitation. He spends all of his remaining unused unallocated stats points, putting all of them into his strength attribute stats.

It was then, after using up all of his remaining Unallocated stats points, Xu Kaan experienced first hand feeling reinvigorated, his body overwhelmed with pain, strength pulsating down his vein, mad crazy beyond his imagination could hold.

In his crazed state of mind, Xu Kaan recklessly charges forward for another ramming attack. This time the ramming attack is much stronger, amplified by his strength multiplier trait [ Overpower ].

Xu Kaan in his relentless struggle, focusing all of his rammings into one point, targeting one spot, in order to weaken the layers under constant stress, breaking through its defenses. Aiming for the stomach region of the large Aqua Iaculat Nephropidae, upon impact a loud cracking noise occurred.

It finally gave in after so many of Xu Kaan's ramming attempt. The small dent in its endoskeleton would expand over time, after each attempt of ramming by Xu Kaan's strike. Magnifying the crack even further until the point it couldn't handle the pressure anymore.

Breaking through the dense endoskeleton of the Aqua Iaculat Nephropidae, forming craters and crack around the impact region. Sending the now dazed Aqua Iaculat Nephropidae toppling over to the side.

Xu Kaan then hurriedly rushed over to the sight of the fatally injured Xu Ron. His tortoiseshell is now completely crushed into smithereens, as shards of his shell were cracked, piercing deeply into the flesh of the little tortoise. Fresh red blood is flowing everywhere as the eyes could see, spilling out onto the ground, dying the sand bloody red in color.

Xu Kaan spoke, wavering, "Ron, Ron... Please speak to me? Don't die on me, Ron?", unwilling to accept reality upright.

Xu Kaan then falls into a deep state of despair, feeling quite responsible for this incident. It was his decision to go on the hunting spree. It was his bad leadership that lead to this outcome. He wasn't patient enough to wait and observed his enemy.

Instead, they all rushed in, expecting the enemy to give up without a fight. How naive of them. And now this is the result of their narrowmindedness, ignorant of how the world works. The world doesn't revolve around them. They are just minor indispensable characters when compared to others who are much stronger than them.

Xu Kaan now looks at the dying figure of Xu Ron, all bloodied up to the bone, filled with many severe injuries, and fatal wounds. In a state that is near to death. Escapable death.

His organ is still beating weakly to survive, despite being exposed outside of its body. Xu Ron weakly opens up his now dying eyes, looking square face in the direction of his older brother Kaan. He always admired him for being strong and courageous, similar to Xu Shao. Able to do anything on their own. Become independent away from the group.

However, he was dragged along with the bad flow of his other brothers, Xu Kai and Xu Dein. Similar to him, they also share the same beliefs. But that sense of admiration soon turns into an inferiority complex.

Comparing themselves every day to the growth of Xu Shao and Xu Kaan. Watching them as they slowly make leap and bounds, becoming stronger by the second, as the three trios are stuck stagnated in growth. Afraid of being killed and death, unwilling to head outside of the far reach of the nest by themselves. Similar to what Reya once was, until she joined up with Xu Shao.

Their inferiority complex would intensify by the day until they need an outlet to vent all of their frustrations on. And that outlet is precisely Xu Reya because she is too small fragile and tiny to resist or put up any sought of resistance to their numerous violent assaults.

Xu Ron then looks up at Xu Kaan's figure, who is near to the point of breaking into tears, coldly observing him up and down. His vision is now slowly becoming blurry. As his breathing becomes heavier, causing him difficulty to breathe.

He uttered out a slight voice, noticeable by Xu Kaan who was quite near him.

Xu Ron spoke, slightly muffled by the blood, gushing his mouth, "Kill me, brother. End my suffering. End it all. This pain I'm feeling. I know I won't make it... it hurts, brother."

Xu Kaan watches his dying brother in dead silence. Tears dripping down his eyes and cheeks, unable to do anything for his lil' brother. Despite him being the oldest and strongest out of the group.

He was quite hesitant and unwilling to kill Xu Ron at first. But after watching him incurred the continuous battering hammers of the Aqua Iaculat Nephropidae. How could he not be in dreadful pain after his body is mutilated into that state? The anger rising in him, born from the depth of his despair, unable to do anything when he needed to.

He opens his mouth wide, reaching near Xu Ron's back neck region, bringing it to an immediate close. His mouth snaps closed with a tremendous amount of force, severing the bones and flesh of the neck that connects Ron's brain to the rest of his body. Ending his long agonizing pain and suffering.

Since the pain receptors that received the outside electrical stimulus is now cut off from the nervous system that reaches to his brain. Therefore disconnecting whatever painful sensation or feelings he has with his main body.

Blood dribbles down the open gaps in Xu Kaan's mouth, as he cries out in the top of his lungs, screaming in the pain and sorrow he felt for killing his own lil' brother to end his suffering. In the process, earning all the experience points and levels that Xu Ron has gathered.
