Quiet life and conflict

Besides these changes nothing interesting happened for the next few months with nick falling into a pattern of training sarina , cultivating and doing missions as needed. this low key way of doing things left many of the elders watching his actions confused. the reason for this is because all records about system holders pointed at them being arrogant show offs with a penchant for trouble making. the elders couldn't be blamed for this since the information they had on system holders only included those with bad personalities who stood out. the information in the records had no information on those who got a system and shrank away from the limelight or only appeared there in short intervals like nick. nick was entirely unaware of the confusion he was causing but even if he did know he wouldn't change lifestyle. quietly accumulating strength while keeping an ear out on the news for any sign of his lost companions suited him just fine. one day when teaching sarina a visitor arrived through the teleporter in an unexpected manner. nick was surprised to see that the visitor was none other than the female inner disciple who had originally stolen sarinas eyes liang li.

There was another older woman with liang li who his senses told him was around a tier higher in cultivation than him putting her firmly in the ascendant king tier. nick wasn't worried about this since thanks to his body refinement even a king like that would find harming his body a real pain. this woman looked arrogant when she first arrived but after seeing nick she had a shocked expression. liang li didn't notice the woman's expression and swaggered towards nick haughtily but stopped when nick flooded the area around her with his bloodlust infused aura. the woman behind liang li shielded her from nicks oppressive force when liang li looked about to suffer a heart attack. "you have proven your point , enough." the woman said seriously at which point nick retracted his aura. "why are you here?" nick asked seriously with no lack of obvious disdain in his tone. liang li saw the woman protecting her and started acting like she wasn't on nicks territory. "you have something of mine , a mortal girl with no eyes , hand her over." liang li demanded arrogantly. "there is no one matching that description here , if there is nothing else , leave." nick said coldly.
