escape 2

leaving my sword behind, i grabbed the two heavily wounded girls, then sprinted deeper and deeper inside the cave while being pursued by hundreds of undead like creatures

i was been running for 10 minutes none stop. while in my side flor who im carrying on the moment has already fainted because of her injury while felise on the other side looks so pale.

"j-just leave us here, we are only a burden to you" Felise said while powerlessly gripping her wounded arm which is bleeding

i didn't answer, im too busy regulating my breathing ,because i exerted so much mutant energy just a while ago, and the bad news is that my running speed is slowly deteriorating

"you can just ditch us and escape alone, why did you turn back? are you an idiot?" felise said with a weak voice

"i could escape death...yes . but I can't escape the guilt that will follow after, so just shut up!" i said angrily , i snapped im trying by best to save you but you kept on asking me to drop you?.

"you really are an idiot" felise

that was her last word before she fully entrusted her body to me and fainted.

few more minutes later . the undeads are slowly catching to us. one of them manage to hit my back with its claw ,

"shit!!!" feeling the burning sensation on my back , i gritted my teeth and executed a small burst of speed my kicking the ground so hard

i gained a little distance from my pursuers, but it didn't last long, a few minutes later they manage to catch up to me once again another undead tried to pounce on me again. but before it can hit me with is claws. it suddenly falls from the ground without notice and never moved again.

other undead stops moving every time they cross the certain distance , seeing this i stopped running. turned back to see the sudden change of situation.

the monsters on the back stopped moving forward while the monster on front didn't move or twitch a bit

"my plan worked hahaha. i guess we are saved for now" i have a conclusion that this bodies are being controlled by this so called parasites, which means where must be some sort of limitations on the distance it can control the dead bodies, like a clairvoyance that have its limitation on area it can scan.

i can investigate it more later but first i need to fix flor and felise before they succumbed to there injury ,

my health potions are all gone because i used it very often, i mostly used when im training in the forest and same goes for my stamina potions , i should spin sometimes to restock them.

i walk away further from the parasite's *area of control* finding a suitable spot i put the two on the down on ground

i check the belongings of the two for something i can use, and found a great item. a smokeless fuel. it can be use to fuel fire which does not released smoke,

as a scout smoke will probably give away there position, that why most of the scouts always bring smokeless fuels for there mission

this is also heaven sent for us because i won't have to worry about being suffocate by smoke.i put the fuel in a large can and ligth it up with ligther.

i covered the hard ground with some blanket and place flor and felise there, its not the best place for a wounded person to rest but, thats all i can manage.

i slowly took off there armors , and i also steeled myself to undress them both so that i can apply some oitment and cover it with clean bandages, to avoid infections which they are prone rigth now.

'as a healthy man, i cant say im not affected in seeing a naked body of cute girls, but I didn't really did it on purpose, its just that i didn't have a choice, but to do it '. i comforted myself after feeling guilty

after being treated. flor and felise ragged breathing also calmed down and now they are peacefully sleeping in the blanket covered ground.

on the other hand the injury i took has already stop bleeding, unlike the flor and Felise who trained there body to be agile ,my body is trained to be tough so my healing ability is superior than theres,

i only took off my bloody battle robe and t-shirt, to cleaned my wound with alcohol, and apply some oitment.

i cooked a porridge made from the dry meat and rice grains the girls have in there bag . it really suprises me on how prepared this two pack the things they need on there mission.

after the rice porridge is cooked, i put it aside and place it somewhere they can see in case they woke up. grabbing one of there daggers i tried to investigate my surroundings

there really is dead end on the other side of the cave so that means we really need to pass the undeads and the meat balls.

i returned to the place where the corpse stopped chasing us , checking one of the uncountrolled corpse i notice a small square shaped object inside its head.

i pulled it out and saw that its the same projectile that the blob of meat tried to shot us with. looking to the other corpses they have the same square thing in there head

i throwed the corpse inside the parasite area of control and unsurprisingly it didn't move.

i grabbed the another one but this time I didn't remove the square thing on its head, and the result, it started to move ones again

"well atleast we are safe.....for now"
