When Mike Tramell, a former member of the US Marine Corps, received a letter from South Africa, he instantly figured that his age long friend and fellow ex-marine, George Stanton, was in trouble.



South Africa seemed extremely peaceful when Mike arrived, but he was soon to find out in a rude shock that he had walked into a situation he never imagined was possible.



Legion was a ruthless man, the leader of the Blue Brigade, an unseemly group that earned legitimacy as private military contractors, and he wanted a box of diamonds, which George delivered to a rival gang, as ransom for his kids.



Through the precarious wilderness of Mahlabatini to the intriguing shores of diamond Island, Mike and George trailed on in search of the diamonds and there was vicious but irresistible Lydia, who made sure they kept on the trail.
