The Message

Morning.

In The Forest of Cries,

Kin Tarou had been walking for two weeks with nothing to eat except the small creatures he was able to kill with his spells and fruits he found in the forest, he had started to grow tired of eating the same burnt meat and strange fruits.

Kin Tarou was hungry and he didn't want to hunt for the same thing he eat everyday so he decided to rest under a tree for a while. Kin Tarou had only slept for an hour when he heard a sound from a distance.

He was so happy, he had not seen any human since he left his kingdom and he hoped to get some real food from whoever was coming and he thought again that if it was Shao Kun or the female assassin who killed his parents he would finally have the opportunity to avenge his parents death and the downfall of his Kingdom.

Suddenly the sound stopped, he heard some growls from the direction the sound came from. He then heard a scream and he saw a man dressed like a messenger running away from some were-coyotes, they had injured the messenger and he couldn't fight these nasty creatures for not only were they big, they were also cunning.

The messenger ran with all he had to get away from the coyotes but they had led him into a corner and started attacking him, the messenger used the rest of his energy to fight the coyotes deciding to at least take one down with him, but suddenly a coyote that had pounced on him just exploded in the air, it was surrounded by green rings with runes written on them before it exploded.

The Messenger was shocked, he had not seen that kind of magic before ,he had not seen such kind of high-grade magic before, Kin Tarou himself was shocked as he couldn't believe that he was the one that performed that kind of high-grade magic spell because the Sorcerer in their kingdom was learned but he only knew some low-grade magic spells, so he couldn't have known how to cast that kind of spell, suddenly he remembered that before he casted the spell a memory flashed in his head and there it was the High-grade spell "Fernal Combustion" written on a scroll in his hands.

The messenger had lost a lot of blood, He laid on the ground and to called on to the stranger who helped him.

Kin Tarou knelt beside the messenger and he tried to access Meng Ling's memories to see if he could find any spell that he could use to heal the messenger.

He found a lot of spells and he tried every single one but non could keep him alive for long, while he was searching Meng Ling's memories he found a memory of Meng Ling talking to an old man and he called the man the greatest healer in the Four Realms, before the man left he told Meng Ling that if he ever needed his help that he should just cast a spell and he would come to his aide.

After hearing the spell,Kin Tarou casted it immediately and hoped the old healer was still alive.

All of a sudden,all the leaves on the floor in his surrounding started turning forming a tornado and with a bright light a figure emerged from the leaves.

It was an old man he looked the same as Meng Ling's memory as if he hadn't aged a day.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ma Yaun was a Great Sorcerer in his time, he studied all kinds of healing spells, he healed a Sick Emperor when he was young and was given a huge title "The Great Healer". Due to a problem with an High Level Sorcerer,he was banished and stripped off his title but he was still quite known between other Sorcerers.
Ma Yaun had taught Meng Ling back in the academy before he was banished and Meng Ling was one of his brightest students, before he left he told Meng Ling and some of his students that if there ever needed his help that they should cast a spell that he created himself from some manuscript he found in the ruins of the Kingdom.
Kin Tarou greeted the Healer and introduced himself as Meng Ling's pupil and he needed his help to heal the injured messenger, Ma Yaun took one look at the dying messenger and told Kin Tarou that he could heal the messenger but he has to take him to his hut.
Ma Yaun asked about Meng Ling and Kin Tarou told him everything, Ma Yaun was heartbroken but didn't show it.He waved his hand and immediately a whirlwind surrounded the messenger and him but before the messenger left, he begged Kin Tarou to deliver his message for him as it is a matter of life and death.
He told Kin Tarou all the detail of the message and begged him to deliver in two days time.
Ma Yaun gave him a Yellow Crystal, he told Kin Tarou to whisper his Name if he wants to meet him. Ma Yaun gave him some food and warned him about Shao Kun's soldiers and raiders who lived in the forest.
Kin Tarou grabbed the messenger's flag and got on the horse, he rode the horse for a whole day and had to stop to feed it.
Kin Tarou stopped near a spring and fed the horse then he sat under a tree staring at the horse cautiously drinking water from the spring, Kin Tarou knew the Forest was home to very wild beasts and also Sacred Beasts.
After resting for a while, Kin Tarou got back on his horse and continued his Journey.
Nightfall,
In the Forest of Shadow.
Kin Tarou had just finished eating,so he decided to practice before sleeping and he knew he needed to hone his ability in casting magic spells because he knew he couldnt always rely on Meng Ling's memories, so he sat down to meditate.
All of a sudden, A Raider jumped from behind him and hit him on his head with a stick. He fell unconscious and by the time he woke up, it was already morning, he checked his belongings and found out that all his food had been stolen along with the letter, he was asked to deliver.
Kin Tarou was both angry and sad, he didn't know what to do, he knew the raider would be long gone by now so there was no way he could get the letter back and he knew the messenger would be heartbroken because he losed the letter. He quickly took out the crystal and wanted to whispered the healer's name to it but before doing so he knew , he needed to find a safe place to do it and also stay to protect himself from other raiders or Shao kun's soldiers because he didnt know how the crystal worked.
After finding a safe place to stay, he whispered into the crystal feel into a trance, he woke up at the front of two huts one big and the other small, he could see the messenger in the bigger hut fast asleep and not far from the hut was Ma Yaun who was sitting under a tree waiting for him.
He went towards the tree and Ma Yaun told him to sit, he could see the discomfort on Kin Tarou's face. Kin Tarou told him everything that happened to him and asked him if there was a way to track the raider or if there was a way to retrieve or revive the letter using magic.
Ma Yaun laughed at the young lad and told him that the only thing he could do is to come and meet him, but Kin Tarou didn't want to do that because he didn't want to face the messenger so he told Ma Yaun to ask the messenger about the Village he came from and after that his vision started to blur and he was drawn back in the cave.
Kin Tarou was back to where he started, and he had to start hunting for rabbits and squirrels but before killing any of these creatures he always asked for forgiveness from the Sacred Beast of the Forest.
An hour later, The Crystal started to glow and after Kin Tarou touched it a map appeared over the crystal with a voice message, it was from Ma Yaun.
He told him that the messenger had begged him to tell Kin Tarou to please hurry back to his village and tell them that he wasn't able to deliver the letter.
To Be Continued.
