Rise from the Ashes!
The sun is almost setting down. One can hear the chirping of the birds congregating in several trees looking for a place to rest. A dwarf came out from the forest. He is carrying two one handed hammer. He seems to be tired. He was about to go to his hut but when he saw a big house in front of his hut, he checked himself if he was hallucinating. He pinched the wound on his right arm but he still felt the pain then he remembers a human girl buying logs this morning. He thought that it was impossible to create that thing in few hours. He told himself that there is no use for thinking. He went inside and saw three people.
Adeline was placing 5 wooden bowls on the table when a dwarf walks towards her direction and asked for the price of the food. Adeline squinted her eyes while facing the dwarf then remember that he was the person who sold him the logs. She mentally asked the system about the price. The system responded, " Based on the level of ingredients used and the current rating of the food, I would suggest you sold it 30-50 silver per bowl. I will just re-adjust the price once you found any ingredients or technique that can increase the rate of this food." Adeline nodded and smile, "That would be 50 silver per bowl." The dwarf was shocked because the price is very expensive for a rice pudding, but the smell had another tale to tell. His stomach is rumbling then he sighs. He unties the small pouch that he tied on his left belt and gave it to Adeline. She counted the silvers and nodded.
Cara went to the kitchen to get some water for the dwarf but she can't find anything so she asked Adeline where to get water. The dwarf heard hear and said, "It seems that I am your first costumer. Don't worry I brought my own water." Adeline smile, "Thank you for your understanding."
The porridge seems full of life and nutritious, the dwarf sip first then he ate one spoonful of arroz caldo then he smiles then he frowned and open his stat window. His eyes widened when he saw the effect. He then ate all 5 serving and noticed that the effect can't be stack but the duration reset every time he ate one serving to another. The food itself is simple yet tasty. The level 5 chicken, mixed with garlic, onions and the coolness flavor of the ginger is dancing in his tastebuds. The dwarf opens It eyes, " What is the name of this food." Adeline smile, "Arroz Caldo, it is one of my comfort food back then." The dwarf smile, " back then? You sound like an old woman." Adeline giggle and laugh, " Maybe"
The dwarf Stand up and said, "My name is Ranulf. Never mind my family name. Welcome to the neighborhood. Adeline nodded and introduced herself along with Cara and Cardo. Ranulf faintly smile and went out the inn.
The system spoke, "Congratulations! You completed a hidden quest of selling your first dish. Hope you like the rewards.

Adeline smile as she saw two familiar dishes but she can't make it as of the moment since the ingredients needs to be personally procured and she don't know how to make a soy sauce. While she was pondering she heard his grandfather's painful moan and thought, " System can I access anything Medical or Surgical supplies from my own world?" the systems beep 3 times before it talks, " If you are pertaining about medical alchemy then yes you can but you cannot purchase a finish product, you must make the product. I can only sell you the instrument that you going to be use to make the product. When you reach a certain level, you can buy the instruments in the shop" Adeline smile, "Fair enough" then she pondered a bit, "By the way, I am already level 10 why is it that I did not learn any new spell?" The system beep twice before it talks," Because of your affinity. I am sorry to say this to you but the base spell is the only spell that you gonna learned for the rest of your life but...…you are imaginative enough to create one. Don't worry, I know that you can create more when you reach the right level but there will be no rewards of spell for each level." Adeline smile, " are you encouraging me? or discouraging me?" The system beep a bit, " I don't know? Maybe? It seems like every time you level up, you given a personality but who knows.
" Adeline continue to asked, " In your opinion, what is the gap level between me and my grandfather?" The system did not beep and directly said, " Not even close to .01%" Adeline was surprised about the answer she thought that it was ridiculous answer! But still knowing his grandfather was a general she was not surprise the he is strong but the gap is too much to take.
Adeline walks towards his grandfather, "grandpa…. when I reach the right level, I might be able to help you fix your problem but as of the moment I can't." His grandfather faintly smiles, "you don't have to worry, "he paused a little bit and continue to talk, "I am just furious! of that father of yours! I risked my life protecting his kingdom! I even neglected my wife due to my work even to the point that she!!!..." Cardo was gritting his teeth and his eyes became watery. Adeline watched her grandfather voice out his grievances toward emperor. Cara was sitting beside the chair and did not talk but one can see that her hands were shaking.
Adeline saw her mother's face, she seems in pain, mad and helpless. When Adeline witness such event, something is tearing within her heart. Adeline look at the ceiling and took a deep breath, " Mother and grandfather…..the greatest gift that I have right now is my remaining family is alive," she paused a bit and with conviction, "One thing that I can promise you, I will not go and seek for vengeance but if my father…..I am sorry….The Emperor will try to spread his poison towards our domain, then by the wrath of gods! I will make sure that he will meet his own demise."
When Cara and Cardo heard her speech, they were mesmerized and yet scared that Adeline seems different from her usual self.
Adeline smile, "Grandfather" she face Cardo, "Mother" she face Cara, " I would like to reassure you that I am still your daughter." Cardo and Cara was startled because it seems like Adeline can read them, they thought she used some spells. Adeline smile and thought, I've been a psychiatrist for how many years, their expression were already telling me what they want to say.
Cardo faintly smile and said, "I think it is time for me to pass the authority to you. Among the three us, you are the only one who is qualified in every aspect to lead our family. I may not be able to walk again or I may die along the way but at least before that happen I will die happy knowing that my family is safe." Cara smile and agreed to his father's decision.
Adeline was not surprised that his grandfather handed her the authority, she sighs and said, "I would like to refuse the offer as of the moment. I am too young and naive of what is happening around me. I suggest that grandfather, you will still be the one lead our family. Most people will not take me seriously due to my age."
Cardo pondered a bit and sigh," What do you think?" Cara smile and said," What she said may be right"
Adeline nodded, "So the first thing that we must do is to change our family name…." His grandfather protested, "That would not do! The previous emperor bestowed that name to us!" Adeline smile brightly, "Then….did his son respected you after his death?" His grandfather just groaned. Cara sigh a look at his father for bit then switch her vision towards her daughter, " What would be name then?" Adeline proudly said, " De Vermilion… So my name will be Adeline De Vermillion." Cara nodded and said, "The meaning of our family name is we are one of the pillar of the kingdom…. what is the essence of our supposedly family name?" Adeline seriously said, "To rise from the ashes and to soar high brightly up to the sky. For those people who will touch the ashes will not be harmed but for those people who will touch thy wings will become the ash." The moment Cardo and Cara heard this they became weary yet uplifted. The family name is strong yet gentle. Cardo and Cara both nodded and they said in unison, "Starting today we are now the "De Vermillion Family."
After that event, Cara assisted his father to guide him towards his room. Adeline on the other hand was looking for a place to put the land of Gaea. She then decides to place it between the entrance of her room and the wall near the windows. She mentally chat the system and the system responded, "Are you sure? Once you place it in there, you may be able to change the location but you need to pay a hefty amount of coins." Adeline nodded, "Just do it." The system beep ten times and said, "Activating the land of Gaea... Please direct your vision towards the wall….." Adeline then face the wall just few meters away from the door of her room. The system spoke again, "Wall noted...Creating a room to hide the entrance…..Activate…"
After the activation. A wall suddenly appears with a wooden door. A person need to enter the door to enter to the hidden passage. The door to her right is the entrance to her room. The door which is 3 meters away in front of her is the entrance the land of Gaea and to her left side is another wall with windows.
She walks towards the door in front of her and open it. Once she was inside she saw a stair, with 10 steps going downwards, she then went down. From the last step below, she walks at least 3 meters and found another mahogany colored door. Adeline smile, "This is it….."
