Wen Lin is one of the few people born with a mutated gene.

Wen Lin stood by the door leading to the hospital room, where the beautiful woman rested. He softly called out her name, with no intention of walking inside. He could not walk inside, he did not have the courage to say goodbye.

He kept staring at her, and when he felt that enough staring had been done, he quickly composed himself and with one breath said, "Don't just keep kissing someone like that. You should not blame anyone for being molested if you don't!" As he left the villa, he walked out with a smirk on his face, leaving behind an astonished, pale Yang Jiang in disbelief.


Turning around he shook his head helplessly looking at the paled face of Yang Jie, "hey we don't want to have the whole day you know." Only then did Yang Jiang come out of her astonished state. She had still not been able to comprehend just how shameless Wen Lin had been. Was this a character trait Wen Lin had that she wasn't aware of, or part of his personality?


Once Yang Jiang had buckled up her seatbelt and made herself comfortable in the car, they almost immediately began to drive off to the supermarket to pick up some vegetables, food ingredients, and other items she might need to make food for the time being.


The drive to the supermarket was awkward because of the extreme silence that enveloped the car. There was no communication whatsoever between the two people except for the few glances they stole from each other when the other was occupied or not looking.


The car stopped in front of a middle-class supermarket. Yun Lin looked for a place to park the car. It nearly took him thirty minutes to do so because the parking lot had insufficient space to accommodate his car. Jiang felt pity for him. People coming from high society who are used to obtaining parking spaces without any difficulty had to understand the process all by themselves.


"It serves him right for telling a lie and putting up his fake act," Yang Jiang thought.


The poor man didn't realize his cover had already been blown and he was going through all this for nothing.


Pushing the cart along rows of items, Yang Jie picked up the things needed and gave them to Wen Lin to put away in the cart. The people around couldn't help but glance at the supposed 'couples'.


"Oooh, they are so cute together aiyeeh," one middle-aged lady said pointing at the two.


Another blonde lady said, "Yes, especially the lady, she's so beautiful, her face fits in so well with the entertainment industry, I'm sure she'll be popular in her first movie," she said.


Seeing that hot-looking guy, I am about to faint. How could God ever be so unfair as to make someone more beautiful than women, and on top of that, he made them a couple of dashing guys? "Oh my, I can't imagine what their kid will look like!!!" a worker in the supermarket joined in.


A tall guy said, "I bet their child will be super cute. After all, both parents are fine specimens."


"Oooh I am so envious of them!" the worker said again drifting into dreamland.


Yang Jie turned around to ask Wen Lin about his preference for the flavor of a certain product he preferred. After much courage, she decided to initiate a conversation since they would have more interactions in the future so might as well start now and for her also break the silence.


It was agonizing. After their shopping, they walked out with Yang Jiang holding nothing whereas Wen Lin was holding three shopping bags. She tried convincing him for a long time to help him, but since he strongly opposed her, there was no other option but to let him be.
