Chapter 7: Hero (2/2)

As John was wondering about the town he noticed people giving out smiles or just a simple nod of their heads at him, he felt kind of good saving people and not the satisfaction feeling he got while playing the game which made him smile. As he was making his way through town he saw a familiar figure that was dressed in a western cowboy during the game but when realizing this was not the game but life now things changed, he saw Lucas Simms noticing me just walking down the street from him. He flagged me down to come for a talk I always felt like he was an honorable sheriff so I approached him, "Hey son I glad you're still alive with us, some of the kids were worrying about you after you've been out for a week and they also told me that you rescued them from those raider's that are weary of here. I'm glad someone like you showed up help when you did I couldn't imagine what those bastards would do to them... poor kids they'll have to stay at the orphanage until we can find them homes." As Lucas walked to my side he placed his hand on my shoulder and said, "You did good kid, you did good," as he smiled at me he left to finish his daily job and as for me I still had my main job and that is to find my dad and make sure he survives the Project Purity explosion.

When I stepped into the saloon I saw a bunch of random people from settlers to traders and even some character's that I recognize like that creepy mother fucker Mr.Burch from Tenpenny Tower's, Lucy West sitting by the door drinking some Nuka Cola I wonder if I came find her brother before he joins that cult, Gob banging on the radio like he does before the main character fixes the satellite dishes. I saw Nova and a few other girls standing around talking and stuff I didn't get into but I was searching through the crowd trying to find Moriarty the one who has information on where my father went. But knowing where he achtually is just boring to be honest I want the same adventure I had when I played the storyline the first time. I noticed Moriarty coming back from the second floor I noticed a piece of paper sticking out of his back pocket thinking if that's the password to his terminal he must be the stupidest person in the world right besides a super mutant.

Then as I was heading to the bar I saw a poster bored with paper posted on them and as I walked closer I see it actually a job bored for mercenaries or people who come by looking for a quick way to earn caps which I found interesting that I might take some up after I've gotten the information i needed. I walk my way back to the bar and as soon as I get there Gob turns around and notices I'm at the bar he asks, "Hey smoothskin what can I get you? " 'Ha just like the game that's nostalgic' as I was thinking that I also answered back, "One Nuka-Cola," as I said this he looked at me with a strange look then he proceeded to grab a cold one from a cooler that was built into the wall he looks at me and says, "How come you don't look at me like a freak or treat me like one, like the rest of you smooth skins?" As he asked I gave him a fare answer of what I thought about ghouls like himself, "Well I see ghouls like you like any normal person."

After a few drinks me Gob made friends with each other any he told me all sorts of stuff like the place where ghouls are free to live how they wanted in the underworld and after some more I asked him about a man coming into here talking to Moriarty which he saw no harm into telling me that they were talking about various things like where he could get information about the world out here and all. After drinking with Gob he seemed more happy than he was in the game and be the looks of it some of the girls who were with Nova noticed too and looked at me like I was beat which made my instincts telling me to run like hell. I decided rent a room on the fact I didn't have a place to stay so I played Nova 20 caps and payed for the drinks I bought and shared with Gob which cost me another 100 caps which almost made me run dry, Warning to self ghouls can drink your ass under the table or out of caps.'

After waking up in a rough state because of a hangover a load notification popped up sending a painful ding sound through his skull he ask the system what the notification was about she answered back, *Ding... John someone was watching you last night my radar sensed someone was looking at you the whole night, * he looked stunned while thinking 'Well that's creepy as hell why was someone was watching me just night?' "Thanks for the creepy notification System," while saying it as a sarcastic comment. He looked at a skill called Ghost and wonder about it then while thinking he asked System about it, *Ding the Ghost skill allows the user to harness skills from a unknown spec-ops unit to leave no trace while he achieves his missions* As I saw this I was excited to use this on the enclave or on anything really.

When I fully awaken I got dressed and headed out with my rifle over my shoulder and pistol in my holster I traveled over to Craterside Supply to buy a satchel so it doesn't creep people out I pulled thing out of thin air and new vest. As I got there I saw Anna who looked like she was helping out Moira Brown with her work and as I was going towards her Moira ran around the counter to ask me a bunch of questions about if I could help out with finishing her book I had to turn her down for right now.When I continued to walk over to Anna she noticed me and blushed as I walked to her, I guess the incident yesterday still got to her so I shook my head and told her I was going to head out in a day or so she asked where I was going and I told her I was going into the city to locate the GNR building to see if three dog knows where my father went then as I said this her face became grim and warned me not to go in there the super mutants are over running all of old DC. I told I will wait a few days after buying what I need from here then head out on Monday which I saw her expression became lighter told me to careful. After talking to Anna I went over to some racks and found a sturdy flack jacket that looked like it was built by using heavy metal plates and rings them placed inside the flank jacket for "Style and protection" quote from Moira and a carrier satchel that made of some sturdy leather. I made my way back to my room to relax for the next two days.
