"Disgusting! This meat is so gamey, it's more gamey than a venison or even bear's meat!" Nil was cursing while eating the barbecued meat of his prey.
However, just behind him was a pile of bones swept off of its meat.
Nil already ate two out of the three unicorn bulls. It was an insane amount yet his gastro points did not even fill up completely barely reaching 12 points.
Even so, the fight from before and eating his prey's meat bring him to advanced three more levels reaching the 7th level of the apprentice rank and adding 15 more gastro points on top of his previous 50 point pool.
Using only some portable gadgets and equipments he brought to cook a meal was not enough to prepare some high-class meat like the Unicorn Bull's thus making the gastro points fill slowly.
'I guess a special preparation was needed for this type of meat, no wonder the merits on top of capturing this bull were luxurious. If only I had enough materials to deal with this!' Nil was contemplating the waste of such high-class meat.
'If only I can cook this later! But the rules say let the mainline chef do the job!' Nil let out a long sigh and pick a special-looking transparent container filled with different portions of meat that was sliced accurately.
The smoke from my bonfire probably will attract unnecessary attention, I'd better be going. No time to clean this mess! Nil thought.
After recovering his strength and gastro points by eating the barbecue made out of the Unicorn Bull's meat. Nil started to move to get back to the meeting point where Miss Laura and the Mainline chefs were waiting.
...
A few minutes later.
"At last, you stopped!"
A muscular man exclaimed while holding his knees trying to catch his breath madly.
He was cursing inside for he had sprint from the western part of the field G to the east where this little girl before him saw a faint amount of smoke rising. How long was the stamina of this little bitch! He thought.
"Yes, and we are late." The little girl was analyzing the whole grass field where Nil left.
"A huge fight broke out, probably a trap was made by the hunter yet the beast must have still posed strong resistance. Even so, they ended up being a meal or ingredient by the hunter. Judging from this—" The girl was Lily, she pointed out the large bones that was scattered on the edge of the grass field near the vegetations.
The moment Aldrin, the muscular man saw the littered fleshless bones he was flabbergasted but composed himself seeing that Lily was not surprised in the slightest.
The bones were indeed big which points out that it was the Unicorn Bull's
"Maybe some of our classmates grouped together to capture this beast? Right, that was it." Aldrin was still trying to compose himself. It was the only logical reason to capture 3 apprentice rank beasts in one go altogether.
Lily on the other hand thinks the opposite, after observing more thoroughly.
She founds out that only one person battled out the three unicorn bull, probably a surprise attack. Only one person can pull this off! Lily thought.
"We're running out of time, better be going!" Lily yet again dashed forward towards the meeting point.
Aldrin can only let out a long sigh and shrugged before running again to follow Lily.
Aldrin's respect or rather fear was gained by Lily.
A while ago while they were hunting a beast for the ingredient, Lily was the only one who battled out a huge Porktopus by herself. Though it was only next to the Unicorn Bull's merit, it was not to meddle without proper preparation for it was on the apprentice realm as well.
Aldrin wouldn't fear if Lily finished that beast for he can do the same feat as well but not as flawless as what Lily does. He was still pissed about Lily and Nil's group but this little girl gave him the shivers. He was not confident to win unscathed in a one-on-one fight.
While the duo was running towards the cooking point. Lily whispered something out of nowhere.
"Probably it was Nil." Lily whispered.
Aldrin on the other hand heard what Lily whispered.
"Probably what?" Aldrin asked.
"Ohh, nothing I just thought Nil was the one who solely faced the 3 unicorn bulls back there." Lily gently answered.
"Wait, what?!" Aldrin was yet again flabbergasted, shock was painted all over his face.
'It was a mere joke right? That was ridiculous!' Aldrin cursed inside, he can not believe what he just heard. But Lily's deduction was proven sharp from the past short experience they went together hunting. He knows that Lily was no ordinary little girl.
...
"You have lots of portion to choose from so have it your way!" Nil handed out the special container which held different cuts of meat to Miko and Nicole. "Let me remind you. That thing's gaminess was superb!" Nil added.
Miko just nodded in response, Nicole on the side was surprised that Nil was able to bring the meat of the beast with the highest merit but she did not show any emotions.
She was willing to help in full pledge for she knows that they would be graded individually.
In front of the students was a long white table where Miss Laura was observing. She was the sole judge for this activity.
With her keen eyes, she was able to see the juicy red raw meat Nil handed to his teammates, Miss Laura was sure that it was the Unicorn Bull's flesh for it had a unique red vibrancy and flesh that seems to glow. Its silvery-white fat was perfectly marbled that spreads throughout the whole portion of the meat.
'I was sure to tell that geezer to have those 3 unicorn bulls packed together in one area. I expected nothing less from this young lad!' Miss Laura thought a faint grin appeared from the corner of her lips.
"Excellent!" She whispered to herself.
...
Most of the groups were already gathered, portable kitchen counters were set on the gathering point.
Most of the students, especially the battle chefs were now whispering on the sides inquiring if anyone had a glance where the Unicorn Bull was.
Some of them were trying to suspect who have captured the beast with the highest merit but to no avail.
With their ability, especially their eyes were not capable of pointing out the details from the raw ingredient.
Some talented students might have the ability to do so but talented students were what the first-year E section lacks.
Only the likes of Nil and Lily could be called talented or geniuses who excel in their class.
The likes of Aldrin, Mirone, and Miko might be talented but they were lacking on some ends.
For example Aldrin, a battle chef certainly had skills on the battle side. He might be good at cooking but definitely lacking.
A minute later, Lily and Aldrin came to the gathering point as well. Aldrin was the one who handed their container full of exquisite cuts from the Porktopus.
Lily on the other hand went on the sides and greeted Nil.
"You silly! Having all those Unicorn Bulls for yourself and leaving only their poor bones!" Lily's voice was gentle those who heard her turned their heads from shock, their eyes were wide open.
Even Miss Laura on the front table showed a hint of surprise, she only thought that Nil was able to hunt one unicorn bull down that stroll away from the group of 3.
Nil can only smile forcedly, 'I should have cleaned that mess back there!' He thought.
Nil scratched his head while giving it a silly chuckle.
"Well, I thought they would be delicious without preparation but I guess not!" Nil answered.
Most of the students went even more shocked. Whispers started to fill the bleachers on the sides. Some were praises from those who believe that Nil was just talented, some were curses for being insecure and some were just random comments.
'He just ate all of them?'
'He's no human! I heard on class B that only by teaming up they were able to have that Unicorn Bull!'
'That's why we saw some pile of bones on that vacant field while going back here!'
'Oh my goodness he's so cool.'
The gathering point was filled with commotions at that very moment.
Only Aldrin who saw closely the field was able to tell what kind of monster that man, Nil was.
Cold sweat trickled down her spine. With a huge gulp, Aldrin thought, 'I guess, messing with this guy would be a bad thing.'
