CH. 5 Rockabye, Cashy

"As long as we remember them, they are with us.  The moment that we forget about them, they are truly gone. " - The Book of Life

[CeCe]

"Hey, Cora. What's up?" I curiously asked.

"Cece! Cece, you have to go here." she said "Cash, he's-Oh my gosh!" A loud crashing sound echoed on the phone.

"Cora? What's happening? Cora! Is Cash alright!?" I asked frantically.

"Please, Cece. You're the only one that could calm him. Please come-" I didn't let her finish as I ran back into the diner just to bump in to a hard wall.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Asked the wall. I looked up and saw that it was Xerxes. "Is everything okay?"

"Please, Xerxes. Not now." I said exasperated. I rushed inside with him on my heels. "Hand me the keys." I demanded Sawyer.

He looked up at me. "I don't think that's a great idea, Cece. I'll drive you." He said.

"No. You wouldn't. Hand me the keys, Sawyer." I said.

They all disagreed with me and started to telling me that it's not safe for me to drive with my condition.

"Sawyer! I have to get to him fast! So please.." I begged "Hand me the bloody keys."

"Come on, I'll drive you."  Xerxes said as all of our attention moved to him. "You're not in the right place to drive, like they said." I looked at him in disbelief. ".. And with the look on all your faces you're all not in a good shape to drive either." He turned to me "Come on, my car is faster."

I was staring at his eyes then mumbled an "Okay". He then quickly steered me out of the Diner and toward his car. He opened the passenger's door and let me in. He strapped me in and shuts the door just to run to the driver's side.

"Where to?" he asked when he successfully buckled himself in.

"The Home." I mumbled looking away. I saw him at my peripheral looking at me. He just look back and didn't questioned anything. He just drove to the place like he knew where it is by heart.

When we arrived at the Home, we've rushed to Cash's room. Cora was there with some of the other male aides. The room was trashed and Cash was rocking himself at the corner of the room, his arms wrapped around himself.

"Cashy?"

He looks up and his lips broke in to a sloppy smile. "Cece? Cece!" He ran towards me, almost toppling me over if he just didn't wrapped me tightly in his arms. "Cece.. Whewe have you been?" he asked. "I was-I was wooking fowa ya." he said. "Did you fowget about me? Did you? You didn't fowget about Cashy, wight, Cece? You didn't- You didn't fowget about me.." he sobbed in my shoulder.

"No Cashy, I'll never forget about you. I would never ever forget about you." I said as I lifted his face to look at him sternly. "You're my only family, Cashy. We're in this together, right? Big bro and Little Sis, right?"

He nodded and answered "Wight. I'm yow Big bwo, yow my wittle sissy." he said. "My wittle sissy, my famiwy. I wuv you Cece." he hugged me again. "Sooo much."

"I love you too, big bro. " I replied slightly sobbing. "To the moon and back."

Cashy or Cashel Cerossa III, was born 28 years ago with PDD or Pervasive Developmental Disorder. It is a group of disorders characterized by delays in the development of socialization and communication skills. Mom said it was detected on his early years.

Both our parents were loaded, with Mom being one of the most sought Pediatrician in town and Dad being one of the most successful businessman and CEO of Cerossa Group of Companies that he inherited from his Father and Grandfather.

As we grew older, I wonder why he still acts Immature and talks like a child, and he rather be alone or with someone he knew.

When we were younger, I was always fascinated by how he arrange and rearrange his toys, and one time, made a mistake on accidentally kicking one blue car out of its place. Cash threw a tantrum and cried, so as my scared and confused little self.

The next day, I was afraid to approached him, but it all disappeared as he ran towards me and hugged me when he saw me, then pulled me with him to play.

Cash is also tremendously interested with astronomy. Back then, every night before we go to sleep, we slipped out to our window to the roof just to look at the stars in the night.

As time goes by, more symptoms appeared.

After my parents died, when I was 16, Cash and I was sleeping peacefully, in our bedroom in our Family home, when suddenly he began shaking in his sleep. I tried to wake him up but he won't budge. I tried to be strong even though I have no idea what to do, that was the first time he had a seizure. I frantically dialed 911.

When they've bought Cash in, they won't let me see him. That was the worst day of my life.

Cash trashed the room that they've bought him in demanding to see me.

Due to Cash's massive size. With 6'5 height and weighs 250 lbs of pure muscles due to his and Dad's workout routine and also in his genes, they've tried to tranquilized him. But decided against it after explaining that I'm the only family he has and that I'll get our Lawyer godfather to sue them for harming a Person with disability and with that, they've let me stay at the Home with Cash until I am legal enough to find a job.

At the Home, they let us stay at an apartment like room, complete with a little kitchen, dining room, sitting area a bathroom and one bedroom.

Carson Clyde, our Godfather, helped us manage our everyday living, he helped me find the best school for my education and best medicine and treatment for Cash. With the money from our trust funds, it was so much easier.

When I turned 18, I already have a job. Job that pays a high price but illegal.

No, I'm not a stripper nor a prostitute, not even a drug dealer. Why don't you take a guess.. ;)

You ask why I still have to work when we're loaded as f? Well, we can't really depend on our trust fund all our life, right? With Cashel's treatments and medicine, plus his stay on the home. I'm glad that there still some money left. The studio only earns 1/4th of our weekly allowance that we get.

Every week, we get allowances from the bank, courtesy of our trust fund and Carson's wife Leena's budgeting and managing, so that we won't spend it too much. Well, we really didn't. As you could see. I'm really not that extravagant, and I'd rather buy in a thrift shop rather in a branded stores.

Well, enough of that. Let's get back to the story.

Cash grabbed his ukelele and started strumming.

(Play: Twenty One Pilot's Can't help falling in love cover)

"Wise men says.. Only fools rush in.. "he started singing and it made me chuckled. For a person with a disability, he sings beautifully and perfectly with the right words and tune. "For I can't help falling in love with you.." It was our Parent's theme song, the song that our mom sung to us as a lullaby when we were young.

Every time he misses them, he either listen to the mixed tape that our Daddy made or play in his ukelele that my Mommy gave him.

Now, I knew the reason of his tantrum. He misses our parents.

Well, he's not the only one.
