CHAPTER 107: A MAN LIKE HIM WOULD WANT MORE

Leigh didn't like the rising pitch of her voice, or the seesawing of her emotions.  She'd just lost control in Jarek's arms and they both knew it; her body still hummed with the need to be closer to him. She couldn't afford to be interested in him. Her instincts told her to go for the best defense—an argument. "Wound too tight?' 'Wound too tight?' I don't like the sound of that."
